secret room of wonder and despair
my fat baby keeps eating all the food
and i have a canker sore on my tongue and on my throat
the sound of people eating is very irritating
my brother is an impressionable douche and it's hard to believe we came from the same place
Do you drink a lot of soda or citrus-y drinks? or eat sour candy? I used to get cankers all the time when I drank a buttload of soda orange juice and ate sour skittles every day

An unsafe place? Is there no chance you could also got live with your big sis or another family member?
Only me, my sisters, and my mom are here in florida. Other relatives are far away and my aunt, even though she's here with us, is living with someone and will be moving to virginia not too soon.

Lol I managed to finish it in 30 mins after I turned off my internet, lmao.

I just really have no desire for School. If I wanted to, I KNOW I could be making better grades... but I just don't care D: There's nothing to keep me motivated.

Sage is doing a special about how bad the Sonic OVA is.

I loved the Sonic OVA...
"That Guy with the glasses"... sounds like one of the guests coming to Kamicon here in Alabama in Februrary.

There is a huge battle within me about whether I should go to that or not. Last time I went to a convention I got to listen to some great guests and purchased a lot of things, but because of how socially incompetent I am, the rest was either boring or somewhat terrifying, resulting in me leaving early.

Drink water instead? You can't tell me they don't have water.

There's buttloads of reasons why soda is bad for you. I drink it occasionally, because Dr. Pepper is so delicious, but you're honestly better off if you can just cut it out of your diet.

They have it at nasty water fountains, but other than that, I'm pretty sure no. It might be at the drink fountain things, though.

Eh, I guess I could just start drinking powerade at lunch (they have that at least), but it doesn't taste as good.

I remember drinking some water at my high school some years ago in a fountain. Leaned over and took some big gulps, leaned back... the water was white looking.

I almost died.

Edit: Lythium, best response ever... xD

It gets easier with time, Werekill. Take it from somebody who hasn't had a drop of soda in close to two years.

I substituted soda for mildly sweetened or unsweetened black leaf tea (Sweet Leaf brand is delicious) whenever I need a caffeine fix. Stuff like Powerade is second best for me personally, but I've developed a taste for it with time. Also helps that I experiment with different flavors whenever I see them, but it's hard because I stick to the varieties that have no sugar in them.

Do they have stores and whatnot within walking distance of your campus? If they do, shop around. Buy gallons of water, drink mixes, whatever.

Tea is such a good substitute
I've been drinking less pop/soda/whatever (I'm from Ohio okay?) and drinking green tea/lemonade half n half packets that you add to water bottles or brewing some cranberry-pomegranate green tea
So delicious

I drink water and milk, with the occasional gatoraid or poweraid or even vitamin water. That's literally all I drink. But still, Water and Milk about 99.5% of the time. Not even an exaggeration.

Same. I guess I'm weird cause I don't really like the taste of pop. Too carbonated, sticky, sugary...bleh. I just drink water and milk.

I'm from Ohio, too. It is pop. Other Murrican dialects have tainted me.

I hate it when it feels like I have offended someone and I can never tell why. It's happened a lot with me when I don't have the intentions to do so.

I know that feel.

I hate when you're being all jokey with someone, and you somehow manage to offend them, and then everything grinds to an awkward halt. Especially when they're a customer. Which just happened, by the way. :I

Worse still is when you try to help them with words of encouragement, and they misinterpret that as blatant intentional belittlement, taking it up the ***.

As if Falcon would ever lie.
Well, I wasn't saying you were lying or anything; I was just saying, I guess?

Anyway, comparing homosexuality with that of getting off to child porn is rather ignorant, close-minded, and disgusting. I can go on and on as to how much I disagree with his view on the matter and why, but I'd rather save that for when the opportunity comes up in the Debate Hall or something.

I have DH posting rights (from ages ago), but I can't even look at the threads there anymore.

What can I say, I don't want to argue about stuff on the internet. Can't be bothered, to be honest.

Maybe that's why I don't mind it; I don't really argue with anyone. Actually, no one seems to disagree with what I post, so I assume I'm saying something right. Or maybe I'm just lucky? Oh well, it got me a pretty pink name, right?

This is the biggest change for me in the past year or so. I used to have a hardon for arguing with people on the internet. now it's just so not worth the time or effort and usually just aggravates me

Uhh... Sorry for interrupting conversation...

Just needed to seek some advice.

Okay, so my friend (one of my closest friends) got a girlfriend recently, right? She's shy, but she's pretty nice. I ended up becoming friends with her, and now she considers me a pretty good and wise friend. Okay, that's cool and all.

She harmed herself on the way to school a few days back. Now she's kicked out of school until she gets an assessment from a professional.

She's young, so she can't go to a professional without her parents signing off on it or paying for it or whatever (I've never went to a professional myself so I'm not sure how this works). However... Her mom won't take her. Her dad doesn't have the time to take her. She's stuck at home not having a way back to school. I'm having to bring her make up work to her so she doesn't fail out of school.

Her boyfriend is in an almost as bad state now because of this (which I expected... but still :/ ). He'll go with me to see her and to give the make up work to her... Afterwards and while we're walking there, he'll be throwing something, cursing a lot, crying... It's terrible to watch.

We tried talking to the school counselor, but it didn't do any good. Her mom is the source of her hurting herself, but she won't tell an adult that. Her mom got really mad when she got sent home from school not because she was cutting or anything, but because she got caught by an adult. Anyways, since she won't tell an adult that it's her mom causing it, the counselor won't help in any way. The counselor probably wouldn't even help unless it is physical torture or something (It's mental/emotional).

I tried talking to my parents, but they said that we (the kids supporting her) can't do anything to help her besides talking to her. We're all 17 and under (including the girl herself), so there's nothing we can really do.

Basically, what I'm trying to get out there is... Am I missing something? Is there something I can actually do besides talk to her? What should I be saying to the girl? What about the boyfriend? I'm so confused as to how to help. I've tried a few things, but I'm just not getting through to them, and I don't know if I can at this point. Any advice before it gets worse? :/.

on the internet.
This is interesting. I always hear this from people. Somehow, on the internet, everything is not as important and or a joke. I don't understand this line of logic. How is something taking place on the internet not as important with something that happens in person? I've had civil discussions online where it has actually made a change in me where I change my stance in a subject. I know that this is my experience, but surely this must mean that it isn't the case all the time.

Masquerain, you can get ahold of the police to start an investigation and hopefully, she can get emancipated.

Arguing on the internet can be incredibly frustrating, but it allows for people to think very carefully and measure their words and allow for interesting discussion. While sometimes the topics can be poor, and sometimes there are awful debaters, and sometimes people misinterpret (as it liable to happen online), every so often you can take something out of it or get some real progress.

At any rate, some people don't have personal access to people that are capable of even that much, like myself. So every so often I'll take a peek inside.
