I would like to point out a few things.

My record against Inle isn't even, he's beat me once in Tourney.
I've beat him 3 times or more against him, in Tournament.

My record against MeekSpeedy is 1-1.

Just saying, for future reference.
Yeah, we know.
All 'records' refer only to wins/losses during these 6 tournaments.

As soon as I saw the video title I started laughing. Nicely done.

If you take the 'd' out of 'nicely done', it becomes an anagram for Inle Coney

THE NEW PR
(April 12th, 2013)

It has been a very long time since the Power Rankings have been updated. The reason for this is that some of the results for one of the tournaments were lost, and with the panelists being very heavily occupied with other aspects of their lives (eg school), it took a while for the entire panel to find time to come together and discuss the power rankings.
With such a large number of tournaments included in this update as well as the recent explosive jump in player skill we've seen in our region, quite a large portion of the PR was initially fairly foggy. However, after extensive analysis of the results at hand, the panelists were able to produce an ordered list of ten accomplished individuals. As always, we hope the new list will encourage our players to improve their tournament performance in an attempt to obtain a higher position.

The PR was created using the last 6 tournaments (listed in chronological order). It was agreed upon by the panel as a whole that any player must have attended at least 3 of the following 6 tournaments in order to be considered for the power rankings.
*The losers' pools results for SiD10 were missing, which is what delayed this update. Eventually the panelists decided to work off their memory of the losers' pools and the bracket file for SiD10.

The PR panel consists of
-Meekspeedy
-Red X
-Tin Man
-V115
-[T.T.D] Blacktwins (new!)

So without further ado, here are the new Southern Ontario Brawl Power Rankings!

Collapsed for suspense ;)

[collapse=1.]1: V115 (1)- Has a winning record against everyone he's played this season, along with the best overall placings.[/collapse]

[collapse=2.]2: [GDLK] Tin Man (1)- Has a losing record to V115, TO Joe, Suzaku & Red X and an even record with Meekspeedy, but unlike Meekspeedy he actually has wins over V115 and TO Joe, still maintains strong overall placings and had a very strong showing at Apex 2013, placing 33rd and defeating Fatal and Shadow.[/collapse]

[collapse=3.]3: Meekspeedy (=)- Has solid placings overall and no bad losses, but he lacks wins as strong as Tin Man's. Also one of the few people to have a win over Tin Man.[/collapse]

[collapse=4.]4: [T.T.D] Blacktwins (4)- Has an impressive win list that includes V115, Meekspeedy, Red X & Suzaku and solid placings overall. However, unlike Meekspeedy he does not have a winning record against any of the aforementioned four players and his placings are slightly worse than Meekpeedy's placings.[/collapse]

[collapse=5.]5: R e d X (=)- Has an impressive 1-0 record against Tin Man and has an even record with Blacktwins. His loss against Poke, losing record against Meekspeedy and overall weaker placings than Blacktwins put him at 5th.[/collapse]

[collapse=6.]6: Suzaku (returning)- Has very similar records to Red X against the top 4. He does have a winning record against Red X, however his 1-2 losing record to Poke (as opposed to Red X's 1-1 record with Poke) is what keeps him below Red X.[/collapse]

[collapse=7.]7: Poke (1)- His wins against Suzaku and Red X and overall placings keep him above the rest of the list. However, his lack of wins on the level of Suzaku's as well as his loss to Dan-Da-Man keep him below Suzaku.[/collapse]

[collapse=8.]8: Dan-Da-Man (1)- Has an even record against both Poke and Ruinn. However, he lacks wins against anyone in the top 6 and has inferior placings to Poke.[/collapse]

[collapse=9.]9: Ruinn (new!)- Has stronger placings than Dan-Da-Man and an even record against Dan-Da-Man. However, he has weaker wins than Dan-Da-Man.[/collapse]

[collapse=10.]10: Chris Fisch (new!)- Has entirely respectable losses and typically places better than the rest of the region (with the exception of the above 9 players). However, he lacks wins on anybody on the PR, placing him at 10th.[/collapse]

Drop-outs:
[collapse=Drop-out]Sauc3/Iliad: Inactivity[/collapse]

[collapse=Drop-out]Inle: Lackluster performance.[/collapse]

Why not just make a new thread that only has one post that's updated periodically ?
No clutter, easy to find, ect.

It could even follow the "Month Day Update" title thingy (So you know it's been updated).

THE NEW PR
(August 28th, 2013)
With our beloved Tin Man leaving Ontario to continue his life and studies in Australia (possibly forever), this may be our most important SOPR update yet. Not only does this put an end to the Showdown in Downtown series (which ran for a whopping 17 events!), but he also left in a bang as he hosted his last tournament, IMPULSE 2013, the second iteration of Canada's only national-level Brawl series to date and one of the most successful Brawl nationals of all time (breaking over 8,300 viewers & second only to Apex 2013!).
Though we are sad to see him go, his absence will also leave room for the exciting rebirth of the Ontario Brawl scene! As Blacktwins follows in the footsteps of his brotha from anotha motha and steps up to the plate, the rest of the scene stretches their arms out into the air, working together to collect and provide energy for the greater good. Though, we are not sharing our energy and high spirits to stop an immensely powerful, destructive, gigantic-Donkey-Kong-looking ape from smashing planet earth's greatest warrior to bits; instead, we are doing it to 'help a brotha out'.
[collapse=See Translation]Red X, myself and occasionally maybe one or two others plan on helping out with seeding, TOing, Wheel of Salt, etc at tournies that Blacktwins hosts.
(Translated by Bing)[/collapse]
The PR was created using the last 5 tournaments (listed in chronological order).
It was agreed upon by the panel as a whole that any player must have attended at least 3 of the following 6 tournaments in order to be considered for the power rankings.
The PR panel consists of
-Meekspeedy
-Red X
-[T.T.D] Blacktwins13
-V115
*It should be noted that although Tin Man is being taken off of the Power Rankings due to no longer being able to attend tournaments in Toronto, we have decided to put Toronto Joe back into the Power Rankings. So for those of you hoping that you would be bumped up a spot by default due to Tin leaving, think again!
So without further ado, here are the new Southern Ontario Brawl Power Rankings!

[collapse=1]1: V115 (=) - Has a winning record against everybody else except for a losing 2-3 record against Toronto Joe and a 1-1 record with Tin Man and no losses to anybody else in the region. However, his strong overall placings (equal to Joe's), better attendance and Joe's loss to Blacktwins is what puts V115 at first.[/collapse]

[collapse=2]2: Toronto Joe (returning!) - Has never been outplaced by anyone from Ontario (other than V115) for this season, and has only lost to V115 and Blacktwins.[/collapse]

[collapse=3]3: Meekspeedy (=) - Maintains stronger overall placings than those below him and an impressive 1-1 record against Tin Man and 1-0 against Blacktwins, but has no wins against V115 or Toronto Joe, thus putting him at 3rd.[/collapse]

[collapse=4]4: Fisch(6) - Has strong overall placings and an impressive 2-0 record against Blacktwins, as well as a win on Will![/collapse]

[collapse=5]5: Blacktwins (1) - Has consistently stronger placings than those below him on the list and has entirely respectable losses (no losses against anyone below him on the list). However, he has no wins (but one or more losses) on anyone above him outside of being 1-1 with Toronto Joe, and has generally slightly weaker placings than the above 4.[/collapse]

[collapse=6]6: Red X (1) - Has an impressive 2-1 record against Fisch and a 1-0 record against Tin Man. However, he has an 0-1 record against both Blacktwins and Inle and no other wins against anyone above him, so he is ranked a spot below Blacktwins at 6th.[/collapse]

[collapse=7]7: Poke (=) - Has an impressive 1-1 record against Tin Man, and all his losses from Ontario come from those above him on the list. However, he lacks wins against anyone above him on the list, outside of a forfeit victory against Meekspeedy. He maintains better placings than those below him, so he is placed at 7th.[/collapse]

[collapse=8]8: Dan-Da-Man(=) - Consistently places decently and only has losses to those above him on the list. Also has winning records against those below him on the list.[/collapse]

[collapse=9]9: Inle (new!) - Has an impressive 1-0 record against Red X. However, outside of this he has no wins against anyone above him on the list, and also has a losing record to DDM as well as generally slightly weaker placings than him. Thus, he is placed a spot below Dan-Da-Man at 9th.[/collapse]

[collapse=10]10: Iliad (new!) - Maintains consistent placings and only has losses to either those above him on the PR, or from out-of-region players. He also generally places better than the rest of the region (outside the 9 above individuals) and has an impressive win against Techiyo![/collapse]

[collapse=Australia Tier]Tin Man: Because even if you've moved to the other side of the planet, you're still a part of Ontario.
Word up, homie.[/collapse]

[collapse=Honourable Mentions]
Suzaku
Has impressive 1-0 records against Fisch, Blacktwins, DDM, Croi and others, strong placings and only suffers losses to Ally, Tin Man and King Kong. However, his lack of attendance (only attended two tournaments) is what keeps him from being on the Power Rankings.

Mprime
Only suffers losses to those on the PR (outside of out-of-region players at IMPULSE and Yosh) and consistently places just slightly worse than the PR'd members. Also got an impressive 33rd placing at IMPULSE.

Leafshadow
Only suffers losses to those on the PR (outside of out-of-region players at IMPULSE) and consistently places just slightly worse than the PR'd members. Also got an impressive 33rd placing at IMPULSE.[/collapse]

*Sorry about this being so late. This complete update would have been provided immediately after it was made (Aug 28th), but the DDoS attack on smashboards made that impossible.
**I don't know why the spoiler tags are being dumb. I'm not entering them 3 times but they're showing up 3 times and glitching on their own.

Yeah it's really ****ed up. Dunno why it's glitching. I know how to use the collapse tags (as you can see the first few are working fine) but a lot of them are just glitching for no reason

For future reference, anything listed as a 'record' in this PR update, previous updates and updates to come will ALWAYS be referring only to the tournaments listed in the update.

eg Toronto Joe and I have played over 15 sets in bracket throughout our Brawl careers and I've lost count of what the overall record is, but since only 5 tournaments were included in this update, our record for this update is only including sets from those 5 tournaments and is therefore 2-3 in his favour.

Brawl smashfests at A&C are on Fridays from 3-8 pm (though they usually stay open til 9 or 10, it depends on how many people are there)
If you go on Tuesdays you're probably going to be the only brawl player there XD

I know you're probably not being serious but I'll respond as if you're being serious anyway

The PR is based off of (offline) tournament results. You haven't been to any tournaments and therefore you can't be considered for the PR

THE NEW PR
(January 15th, 2014)
A whopping seven tournaments have passed since the last time Southern Ontario's Power Rankings have been updated. The reason for this is that the panel felt overall that with the surge of new and previously undiscovered talent evident in our scene as of recent, a larger sample size was necessary to create accurate rankings that would do justice to every player. Temporally though, this update is right on time; a few days before Apex and not even 5 months after the last update.
Following the rebirth of our competitive Brawl scene came the birth of two beautiful baby boys who each went on to begin hosting their own tournaments series. These baby boys are none other than EvenMatchupGaming's two strongest Brawl players; EMG [T.T.D] Blacktwins13, host of the Dynasty Battles tournament series, and EMG XFire | Toronto Joe, host of the RLAB (Read Like A Book) tournament series. Having two hosts is what allowed our scene to squeeze such a large amount of tournaments into the past 4.5 months, and these two boys are to be thanked for their dedication and hard work.

The PR was created using the following tournaments (listed in chronological order)
It was agreed upon by the panel that a player must have attended at least 3 of the following 7 tournaments in order to be considered for the Power Rankings.

Dynasty Battles 1: Fantasy Kaleidoscope - (Aug 31st, 2013) (bracket)
Dynasty Battles 2: Imperishable Night - (Sept 21st, 2013) (bracket)
RLAB: Read Like A Book #1 - (Oct 19th, 2013) (bracket)
A&C World's MK-banned SSBB Tournament - (Nov 2nd, 2013) (bracket)
Dynasty Battles 3: Subterranean Prominence - (Nov 23rd, 2013) (pro bracket) (amateur bracket)
Dynasty Battles Special: Winter Chronicles: Gensokyo X~Mas - (Dec 21st, 2013) (bracket)
RLAB: Read Like A Book #2 - (Jan 4th, 2014) (bracket)*

*When the results thread is made for RLAB2, it will be edited into this post.

The PR panel consists of
- EMG [T.T.D] Blacktwins
- Meekspeedy
- Red X
- V115
So without further ado, here are the new Southern Ontario Brawl Power Rankings!

Collapsed for suspense ;)

[collapse=1]1: V115 (=) - This season, he has a positive (7-6) record against EMG XFire | Toronto Joe and has no losses to anybody else in the region. Also sports an impressive win over Ally and has never placed outside of top 2.[/collapse]

[collapse=2]2: EMG XFire | Toronto Joe (=) - With the exception of the two tournaments at which he placed 3rd, Joe has consistently placed in top 2 (and he has placed 1st more often than 2nd). While he has a negative (0-1) record against Chris Fisch, he is the only player in the region with wins over V115 (and a whopping 6 at that). He also suffers no losses to anybody on the PR outside of V115 and Chris Fisch, and he also holds an impressive win over Holy.[/collapse]

[collapse=3]3: Chris Fisch (1) - Maintains strong placings as well as entirely respectable losses, losing only to V115 and Meekspeedy. While he has only attended 3 tournaments (the bare minimum) and he suffers a loss to somebody below him on the PR, he is also the only person (other than V115) on the PR to have a win over EMG XFire | Toronto Joe (and, by extension, the only person other than V115 to place in top 2), thus he is placed at 3rd.[/collapse]

[collapse=4]4: Meekspeedy (↓1) - Maintains placings comparable to those of Chris Fisch, boasts a 1-0 record against Chris Fisch and has better attendance than him. However, unlike Chris Fisch he lacks a win on either of the top 2. Furthermore, he still suffers losses to people below him, such as his loss to EMG [T.T.D] Blacktwins13, a 1-1 record against Poke, and a 0-1 record against Red X, so he is bumped down to 4th.[/collapse]

[collapse=5]5: EMG [T.T.D] Blacktwins13 (=) - Maintains consistently strong placings (never below 5th), has strong attendance and has entirely respectable losses. Has strong wins such as a win over Meek, a 1-0 record against Suzaku and a 2-0 record against xYoh. However, he has yet to defeat any one of the top 3, still has a negative (1-2) record against Meek and also holds an 0-1 record against Red X.[/collapse]

[collapse=6]6: Red X (=) - Holds substantial 1-0 records against Meekspeedy and Blacktwins, and placements only slightly worse than theirs. However, like Blacktwins he lacks wins on any of the top 3. Furthermore, he has only attended 3 tournaments and also has 0-1 records against Inle and Slate.[/collapse]

[collapse=7]7: xYoh (new!) - This (ie deciding between 7th and 8th) was a really tough call. While xYoh upholds undefeated records against Poke (1-0), Inle (2-0), and Ray Kalm (1-0) as well as consistent, respectable placements, he must also bear his loss to Ryoko (which remains at a 1-1 record) and lacks wins against any of the top 6.[/collapse]

[collapse=8]8: Poke (↓1) - Once again, this was a really tough call. Unlike xYoh, Poke claims a win in the upper half of the PR (a 1-1 record with Meekspeedy) and (on average) places slightly better than xYoh (xYoh usually placing 7th whereas Poke usually placing 5th). The reasons he is placed (barely) below xYoh are that his placings are much less consistent, he loses the head-to-head record to xYoh (0-1), he suffers a loss to Morks and he performed much worse at Dynasty Battles 3, the biggest and thus most important tournament this season.[/collapse]

[collapse=9]9: Inle (=) - Boasts an admirable 1-0 record against Red X, has a positive record against the #10 spot and has no losses to anybody that isn't on the PR, as well as perfect attendance. However, outside of Red X he has no wins against anybody above him on the PR.[/collapse]

[collapse=10]10: Ryoko (new!) - Is the last remaining person in the region to meet the PR's attendance requirements (with perfect attendance!) while still having wins in the top 9, in his 1-1 record against xYoh and his 1-3 record against Inle.[/collapse]

[collapse=Australia Tier]Tin Man: Just because you left half a year ago and didn't attend any of these tournaments, doesn't mean we forgot about you. Ontario will see you at Apex. Besides...we know you'll be back ;)[/collapse]

[collapse=Honourable Mentions]
This list is composed of individuals whose accomplishments we feel are deserving of acknowledgement, but are either not quite strong enough to make the top 10 or have not attended enough tournaments to be considered for the PR.
Normally, we stick to more round numbers such as 3 or 5 HMs, but we felt this time around 6 was necessary to do full justice to those worthy of acknowledgement.

(Listed in alphabetical order)

Astro
The amateur bracket champion of Dynasty Battles 3, has an impressive 1-0 record against Ryoko (thus, a PR win!) and has mostly positive or even records with those not on the PR. Also has strong attendance!

KillerAP
Has a 1-0 record with cMeDu, a solid 2-0 record against Astro and some surprisingly strong placements such as 7th at Dynasty Battles 2 & RLAB2, and 9th at Dynasty Battles Special. Also has perfect attendance!

Leafshadow
Has a win on Dan-Da-Man (former PR member) and strong placements with 9th at both Dynasty Battles 3 and RLAB2. Also has entirely respectable losses, losing only to PR members (Meekspeedy, Blacktwins & Inle) and Holy. His lack of attendance is the main thing holding him back. Was also HM on the last iteration of the PR.

Ray Kalm
Similar to Leafshadow, he maintains entirely respectable losses (Holy & PR members) and strong placements, with 9th at both Dynasty Battles 3 and Dynasty Battles Special. He is also held back by his lack of attendance.

Slate
Placed an amazing 4th at Dynasty Battles 1, losing only to V115 and Meekspeedy while netting wins over Dan-Da-Man, Astro, Ryoko and Red X. However, this was the only tournament he attended this season. If he had attended more often with similar results, he almost certainly would have been on the PR.

Suzaku
Placed a very respectable 7th at Dynasty Battles 3, losing only to Holy and Blacktwins while getting solid wins over Astro, Poke, DDM and Ray Kalm. Similarly to Slate, he probably could have made top 10, but he only attended one tournament.[/collapse]

[collapse=Drop-outs]
Dan-Da-Man: Lack of attendance (only attended two tournaments) and lack of strong results.
Iliad: Lack of attendance (only attended one tournament) and lack of strong results.[/collapse]

And that's it for this update! As always, we hope this update provides incentive and motivation for you (the reader) to make effort towards improving as a player, achieving better results and keeping the competitive spirit alive within our scene!
If you'd like me to list your tag as something else, or can spot any typos, let me know!

Good work to everyone on the PR. Special shoutouts to Chris for reppin his falco to the death (though I insist falco is scheisse), Yoh for bursting onto the scene like a mad man taking everybody above him (except V lol) to the brink, and Yosh for being a living example that hard work and dedication pays off.

To the whole PR tho, one of you is gonna have to dip cause I'm coming for my spot

Yo ******* don't even know Evolution will begin soon for me. I'll be playing my darnedest to represent all of you guys my homies at apex as ranked 10 and treating it as a super training/learning experience. I am already using ideas like M2K's 100/100 exececution training as easy as I thought it would be I still ended up only doing like 70 dash attack locks before failing and down smashing the other numbers are far to low.
shout outs to XYoh I'll be coming for our tie breaker once my zss has leveled up more.
shoutouts to all of you guys for being awesome,

@v115 how do you go about records do they get reset ever season? If not I'm pretty sure Astro and I are currently 2-2( he believes that it is 2-1 in my favor)

The records we use between players for each PR update are rest every season, so only sets from the past 7 tournaments were considered.
(Also congrats to the new faces and those that moved on up :) )

Congrats to everyone on the PR! Really glad I made it as an HM and I look forward to working my way into the top 10 in the next iteration. You haven't seen the last of Astro/Armeezy/Armoses/Armonica/Arminion/Armoomoofarm the King the 3rd the 5th the 1st.

Congratz to Yoh but I'm pretty sure that Yoh was defeated by his brother more than vice versa, I remember Ray defeating his Olimar with Falco in losers 4 or 5 tournaments prior, and even before.

I can assure you that Ray Kalm has never beaten xYoh at any of the 7 tournaments mentioned during this update, and this PR update only looks at results from these 7 tournaments.

You won 3 events (DB2, RLAB1, DBS), not 4. Also at none of these events were Ally/Holy present, so you only outplaced Ontario people at these 3.
I won 2 events (DB1, RLAB2). Could have also been 3, but I lost to Ally at DB3 in GFs :(

In terms of outplacing the rest of Ontario, we're both 3-3. And at DB3 we both outplaced Holy but neither of us outplaced Ally.

Edit: Lmao I completely forgot this update was released before Apex
