Reminds me of Snake's with that incredible upward range.
Good news is that this one doesn't come back down! =p

Snake's Sneaky and Trap like methods truly did make him unique.

Isn't twin shot a boss in the NES metal gear. I think it replaced the Hind D from the msx version due to hardware restraints.

I want to think it has something to do with Liquid and Solid Snake, because they're twins but I can't really confirm that. Or twin Snake's.
If any of Snake's moves were changed to something else, what do you think they would be? I'm kind of fond of the tranquilizer in Project M but Sakurai seems to have a thing against guns.

This makes me wish I had a twitter account to use, I'm going on a raging debate with myself as to if making one for this is truly worth it.
If you get anything like a reply, you'll tell us right? Although I would like to point out if David Hayter is voicing Snake for Smash 4 than he's probably under contract and is unable to say anything. I would also think it'd be a good idea to tweet Keith Sutherland.

When did the Japanese Colonel voice actor die?
I'm wondering this because there's a high probability that some (if not all) of his voice acting was completed before he passed.
Depending on of course the time-frame he died.
This could mean that if his voice work was complete then the colonel could be in Snake's codecs when he returns to Smash.

Takeshi Aono, the man who voiced the Colonel in Japan in all games expect MPO, died on April 9, 2012 of cerebral infractions after a surgery. He was 75 years old. Kojima stated that the character would no longer be used out of respect, he did a lot of voice acting and dubbing in Japan. It seems like a stretch to me, but I don't think Campbell will make anymore appearances, anywhere. Which is a damn shame.

Yeah, I did read that article and I was like 'awwkwarrd.' Portable opps was pretty good, I enjoyed it but I think I prefer Peace Walker.

Portable Ops has a special place in my heart, since it was the first Metal Gear game I played...well, MPO+ was, but still. I haven't played it in forever though, maybe i'll replay it in 2016 if I decide to make replaying every canon MGS game every 5 years a tradition.

MGS2 was the first Metal gear game I played, because I got the HD collection. I played the original games, MGS3, Peace Walker and then the first MGS. It wasn't until much later that I got all the ones in between like AC!D, MPO or accidentally getting the Game Boy game on vacation. I have to mentally prep myself before playing a metal gear game, mostly because I know before the end of it I'll be a sobbing mess on the floor.
If Sutherland doesn't know what Smash bros is than he must live under a rock in the Nevada Desert.

I think we'll probably get about a 45 character roster, with Samus and ZSS and Zelda and Sheik separating we know have four characters out of them alone, instead of one. It also depends if you count the mii fighters as one.

He's hiding something!
It's really hard to tell with the translator, what part he was laughing at is hard to tell.
Either he's trying to keep a secret.
Or he doesn't know and is laughing at the question.

Also I can't exactly hear him properly there to exactly know what he said since I know a little bit of Japanese. The sound quality and volume are really low. D: EDIT: On closer listening he laughed then he said "that's not likely".. My Japanese is really limited though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Yeah, the seed of doubt is growing in my mind too, particularly after that interview. So I'm just going to go play brawl now... sob out my desperation while trying to avoid blowing myself up with Snake's down smash.

We shouldn't be thinking about 2014 metal gear, we should be thinking 2011/2012 Metal Gear. Which is when the roster was being considered.

Well! Kid Icarus: Uprising finished development around January or February. MGS3D and Kid Icarus Uprising kinda had a back to back release. He went to the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary and he is a big fan of Metal Gear Solid (he also went to the 20th Anniversary of MGS back of 07) There is no way he can go to the Anniversary and not think about Solid Snake! Remember this is when the game entered development, One of the first things you do when developing a Smash Bros game is contact the 3rd parties and Licenses to use the characters. Snake and Sonic both had no reason to be cut both having recent games on Nintendo Platforms.
