I still stand by the fact that a Disney/Final Fantasy crossover did NOT need to be this complicated and did NOT need this many OCs.Kingdom Hearts IV is going to take us into the Nomuraverse and I won't let anyone get in the way of that.
Not really no.But wouldn't you rather he just give someone else like... the plot outline of what's supposed to happen so they can finish the story but then tell it in a way that makes it... you know... NOT feel like a trainwreck?
I mean, 4 pretty much is a soft reboot, the entire Dark Seeker Saga is done, and every character sans Sora and Kairi are pretty much 100% done with their character development. To be honest, if I had my way I'd reboot Kingdom Hearts and just start all over.
You haven't kept up to date with the χ series have you?Not really no.

I'm aware of the outline of the mobile games (and they shut down so lol on that), but I have not hit MoM yetYou haven't kept up to date with the χ series have you?
Or played Melody of Memory?
Considering the χ saga is contained exclusively in a weird movie and a mobile game that both feel really weird and hard to understand, I don't blame them. You haven't kept up to date with the χ series have you?

Well even KH3 hits hard that several characters have a lot more going for them than meets the eye.I'm aware of the outline of the mobile games (and they shut down so lol on that), but I have not hit MoM yet
Maybe you should just be content with the fact that you don't have to enjoy everything.Considering the χ saga is contained exclusively in a weird movie and a mobile game that both feel really weird and hard to understand, I don't blame them.
God I wish I could go back in time and change SO MANY things about how this series played out. Yeah, people probably wouldn't remember it as fondly if it wasn't so bugnuts but it would be a more satisfying experience.
Organization 13 can blow me. all but two of you just straight up didn't need to exist.
Be me
Have a Gameboy Advance
Have Chain of Memories thrown on my lap from a used game lot my mom bought on Ebay
Have NO ****ING IDEA what anything is going on
Still fight the final boss all the time just to listen to bitcrushed SIMPLE AND CLEAN, THAT'S THE WAY THAT YOU'RE MAKING ME FEEEEEEEEEEEL
or on the Switch cloud for a real struggle…now go enjoy Melody of MemorySo I beat Kingdom Hearts 3 (base game, started ReMind shortly after).
So I guess some thoughts on this frabchise since I'm nearly done.
100% recommend, please get it on the PS4, PC, or Xbox is possible
- This series was a blast to play. Enjoyed my time with almost every game in the collection. It was also fun seeing the evolution of the franchise
- I love the vibes this series gives off. It's corny yet cold, and it's super heartwarming at it's core. "My Friends Are My Power" gets me hyped every time, no joke.
- I love pretty much every character in there series, I just do. My favorite? Roxas.
- Soundtrack bangs hard.
- This story was surprisingly easy to follow up until Dream Drop Distance where it took a nosedive. There was no reason to introduce time travel to that confusing of a degree, and the asspulls were absurd.
- Nomura
hates womenneeds to write Kairi as an actual character, he keeps hyping her up like she's gonna do something important but then makes her take a backseat to everyone else and then becomes a damsel again. It's annoying.
I don't think I've ever had a bigger monkey paw moment than the cloud ports.or on the Switch cloud for a real struggle…now go enjoy Melody of Memory
I’ll speak all I want. If I had been doing it, instead of the boring and generic/edgy piccrew characters we got, they should have been the main antagonists from the first 11 final fantasies, plus Xemnas and Roxas. Those two, I’m cool with. But the rest are just boring. And I think it would have been better if, just like how in the first game our baddies were a gang of Disney villains lead by Ansem, in the second the bad guys were a gang of Final Fantasy villains lead by his doppleganger.Organization XIII slander...

Maybe I should have rephrased, I think we're done seeing the protagonists aside from The Disney and Destiny trio, but we'll probably see more of the former and current antagonists since they all have something to do with the ancient keyblade war.Well even KH3 hits hard that several characters have a lot more going for them than meets the eye.
Just watch the cutscenes I guess.Maybe I should have rephrased, I think we're done seeing the protagonists aside from The Disney and Destiny trio, but we'll probably see more of the former and current antagonists since they all have something to do with the ancient keyblade war.
Now I wish all that lore dump wasn't put in a gacha game that's unplayable now.
I doubt she'll playable in 4 with where she's at now.I want Kairi to be a playable badass in KH4 due to the constant teases of her throughout 3…or at least teases to me
Unfortunately, Nomura never really wanted it to be a full on FF/Disney crossover. He used FF in the first game because well they didn't have enough OCs to fill up the character roster, and as the time went by the FF influence gradually slowed down, and eventually stopped. And I understand why, unlike Disney, FF is primarily interactive media, we already played their worlds and fought the villians, whereas for Disney, well this was the first for many franchises. Even then, since KH1, FF has been second fiddle to Disney, it's been like 90% Disney and that's being generous. And me personally, I think I'd rather have the Org.I’ll speak all I want. I’m fine with Sora, Riku, Kairi, and the Many Bodies of Xehanort. As well as Team Birth By Sleep. But the rando “OC Do Not Steal” looking black coat ****ers in organization 13 and those stupid ****ing kids in twilight town. All of them should just not exist. And if you catch me at the right minute I might say the same thing about Xion and Naminé.
I don’t even know how to feel about those guys in animal masks or that weird kid in three who was from the mobile game I think who powers you up with all of those random user-names. I don’t know what their deal is. I don’t WANT to know what their deal is. I just want a Disney/Final Fantasy crossover and not Nomura’s back door original action based original FF title.
And of course, this classicGoing to take the opportunity to point out that FF characters in KH eventually led to the most glorious weapon.

I'm gonna go on a limb here and say you wish the Disney characters joined Sora's crew once the world plots are done? But wouldn't you rather he just give someone else like... the plot outline of what's supposed to happen so they can finish the story but then tell it in a way that makes it... you know... Honestly i loved that scene.I don’t even know how to feel about those guys in animal masks or that weird kid in three who was from the mobile game I think who powers you up with all of those random user-names. They're Nintendo fans, they're incapable of doing soImma say it. Some of twitter is acting like lil piss babies about the lisenced music in the Mario movie. They need to calm down and move on
I…I kinda want this to be in the Palutena’s Guidance for Sephiroth if he returns for the next Smash game (or a Smash Ultimate port)And of course, this classic
I mean, I wouldn’t. Like… the fact that the FF characters have been underused, to me, is a problem I want fixed. But you seem to just see it as an immutable fact of the universe. I think doing all the OCs was a bad call. They sold it as a Disney x Final Fantasy game. They should go all out with it. And I’m not gonna just sit here and have people tell me I “need to look at the series differently” and “appreciate it for what it is”. Because it has SO much potential! And the fact that it’s not living up to that potential, in my eyes, really ****ing bothers me!Unfortunately, Nomura never really wanted it to be a full on FF/Disney crossover. He used FF in the first game because well they didn't have enough OCs to fill up the character roster, and as the time went by the FF influence gradually slowed down, and eventually stopped. That said, I didn't quite understand their removal, even though the crossover part was pretty generous, they're still a part of the identity regardless.
Nah. I’m cool with that. I just wish the plots in the worlds were not just abridged versions of the movies most of the time.I'm gonna go on a limb here and say you wish the Disney characters joined Sora's crew once the world plots are done?
I mean. It’s a cute story about the fans. But like… everything with the animal masks and the mobile game is just entirely unappealing.Honestly i loved that scene.
the mobile game was basically an MMO RPG, and those usernames were the first people who won a scecific story quest in said MMO and got to have their charactr's names be involved in KH3, it got a small part of the fandom permanently immortalized in KH canon, it's ****ing stupid, but i think it's cute.
I, on the other hand, am livid. Because that unused song is a banger.I will say, Take on Me was definitely an odd choice but... it's a great song so like I don't really care that it was used instead of the DKC theme. Least, not that much.
I will say it does feel kind of lame when there are unused Mario series remixes on the official soundtrack that they could have used instead. Makes me hope for/want an alternate cut with those slotted in in place of the pop songs.I will say, Take on Me was definitely an odd choice but... it's a great song so like I don't really care that it was used instead of the DKC theme. I mean fair but so is Take on Me. Idk if that was the right song for that scene and it was a shame they had to cut it, but I can't get mad at Take on Me.I, on the other hand, am livid. Because that unused song is a banger.
That'd be cool as well, but eh idk I think most of the licensed songs work as is. The only one I thought was truly out of place was Thunderstruck, but it's a kids movie and all of them have to have Thunderstruck nowadays.I will say it does feel kind of lame when there are unused Mario series remixes on the official soundtrack that they could have used instead. Makes me hope for/want an alternate cut with those slotted in in place of the pop songs.
You know what gamers say about minorities.Idk like I get why people are upset but it never really bothered me too much. May be in the minority.

Honestly. Reminds me of the time I was visiting my cousin for the holidays, he was like 7 or 8 I think, and we saw the animated Grinch movie by illumination in theaters. So that night I read him the original story from a big book I had of a bunch of Dr. Seuss stories. And the next day he said he still liked the illumination movie better. Was kind of eye opening.View attachment 370604
Good morning
Not gonna disagree with the fat phobia, but I will see people need to loosen up about media in general.Honestly. Was kind of eye opening.
Now the argument that a movie made with a popular nostalgic ip is made “for kids” and not the people who are fans of it so anything those adult fans have to complain about is ridiculous is… well… dumb. Movies can be more than “just for kids”. Even when they are for children primarily. And every piece of media deserves to be critiqued honestly from the perspective of the person watching it. Nobody’s experience is invalid just because the internet says they’re Bubble Bass.
Also not a fan of how posts like these where people are annoyed that people care about a thing seem to always be coupled with a lot of fat phobia.
