Children's books are far more simplistic then novels, this is something I might attempt.

The Mario movie social medias seem to be teasing something for this week.

The Super Mario Bros. Plumbing website released a text last week saying that they "have some big plans" and the Twitter account tweeted today "Stay tuned..."

They are going to drop the full sequel in theaters next week.

OK. I'm seeing people online getting angry at the idea of the game voice actors not potentially reprising their rolls for characters like Daisy, Wario, and Waluigi in a Mario sequel. And I'm like... why care? Yeah some performances are iconic but characters get passed around between actors all the time from reboot to reboot, even when those actors aren't celebrities. Like, yeah. The game voice actors probably could pull off the kind of dialogue they want for the films. But it's not disrespectful to them if they don't get to play them. Because someone else getting to play the character "they made iconic" is inevitable. Not to be morbid or anything but Charles Martinet is 67. I get it though. Nobody can ever be chill about anything on the internet. And that includes me. But seeing this pop up all over the place on my timeline is getting on my nerves.

Just left the Mario movie. Again.

The pacing issues are more egregious now that I know what’ll happen, and yet, I find I like it more. Now that I know what it’s about I can enjoy the good stuff even more. And the good stuff is really goddamn good.

The entire last half of the film is just pure fun.

I don’t mind that critics aren’t over the moon for it, and the film definitely has issues. But I do think some reviews are being pretty pretentious about the funny plumber movie.

They don’t break the film by any means, but they are noticeable. It really depends on your personal tastes in movies as to how much they’ll bother you.

I've read the argument that perhaps the 93 film is a little stronger as an actual narrative. And while I don't think I agree, I can see where that's coming from. This new film really is light on plot.

Exactly! Imagine if this was the design for Yoshi, the character. And when we see just a regular green Yoshi we know that that's just the species. It would be so cool if they did more stuff like that! But oh well.
