HOLY ****ING SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT, Cutie Gwen WAS OH SO RIGHT. THIS IS THE BEST SUPERMAN THING I SAW IN A LONG ASS WHILE.

I thought Superman & Lois would be the best we got, but here comes this wholesome story of a Young Superman learning to handle his newly found powers and dealing with a very well-written relationship with Lois and Jimmy Olsen that puts everything Zack Snyder has done with the character to full shame. I loved every single bit of these characters and I am unironically excited to watch more.

AND HOLY **** THE ANIMATION. It goes for this mix of western and japanese animation which just bodes oh so well with the character designs, also makes the action look really ****ing good. I could even compare It with Invincible although there isn't that much blood and gory stuff. I had the dumbest smile all the way throught this first episode because It was all done so well.

So yeah, ** the """anti-sjws""" hating on this show, ** any worries you may have about this show and specially **** Man Of Steel: THIS IS THE BEST THING SUPERMAN-RELATED I'VE SEEN AND YA'LL SHOULD TOTALLY WATCH IT SO WE GET A SEASON 2 AND 3. I FREAKING LOVED IT. THIS IS MY FAVOURITE ANIMATED THING SINCE THE OWL HOUSE AND SPIDER-VERSE.

To Anyone who every played Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion, do you remember the Synergy Attacks? It was basically a secondary Final Smash where if your character happened to summon the proper Assist Trophy they would team up and do a cinematic attack, separated from the Final Smashes. It was cool and the pairings were all really weird and interesting.

Now what if Smash Ultimate had that? Who should be paired up with who and what could they do? I think that would be a fun thought experiment.

Agreed completely, especially the Frogs of Death #JuliaSweep. I just have nostalgic attachment to good old Team Maskwak cuz PI was my favorite season as a kid. Ella will ALWAYS be based.

On a related note, I've almost 100% completed Lego Batman 2. (ironically, one of the last achievements that I'm missing is one of the easiest to get - I just have to beat a mission in co-op, but I only have one working Xbox 360 controller) It wound up being much easier than I thought (I figured 250 gold bricks would be difficult to get, but I'm already at 225), and it got me thinking about what an open world Superman game would be like.

Just flying around as Superman in that game with the John Williams theme blaring in the background is a lot of fun, but I can see both the benefits and drawbacks of an open world Superman game - if you're playing as Superman, you're going to want to be ridiculously powerful, but not to the point of the Lego games where you're basically invincible while playing as Superman. (I have an idea of what a Superman game could be like, though I'd be concerned that it's ripping off Batman: Arkham City)

The game starts off with Superman battling a LexCorp robot in the middle of Metropolis, near the Daily Planet. Police and other emergency workers have evacuated that part of the city, leaving only a few civilians, emergency workers, Daily Planet reporters, and villains who are waiting for Superman to be weakened while fighting that robot to take their shot at him.

This serves as a taste of Superman's full power before Brainiac shows up, shrinking that section of Metropolis and putting it in a bottle similar to Kandor. He activates the forcefield around his ship and begins to charge up a weapon that will destroy Earth - none of the other heroes can break through Brainiac's forcefield, so it's up to Superman to free himself, find a way to return to normal size, and defeat Brainiac.

However, there are some problems:
-while Brainiac strives for accurately recreating the conditions of his bottled cities, he introduced an "impurity" into the solar energy, mostly to spite Superman. While it doesn't impact humans, this impurity brings Superman down to his Golden Age levels of strength, so he can't fly at the start of the game (rather, he can leap tall buildings in a single bound), and explosions and the like can hurt him, at least slightly.
-the villains took advantage of the chaos to establish footholds in the city, forcing Superman to take on the likes of Lex Luthor, Bruno Mannheim and Intergang, Parasite, Livewire, Metallo, and Toyman if he wants to get out of the Bottled City of Metropolis. (they presumably have devices/equipment that could be used to make a one-use makeshift device to negate Brainiac's shrinking, so that Superman can use it on himself to defeat Brainiac and use Brainiac's tech to restore Metropolis)
-Mr. Mxyzptlk has chosen today to cause his particular brand of mischief - sure, he could leave whenever he wants, but he'd rather force Superman to complete various inane (or insane) challenges.

As you complete story missions and sidequests, you build up experience that allows you to get Superman's skills back up to where they were at the start of the game. Ideally, it would do more to take advantage of Superman's supporting cast like Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Krypto the Superdog, Dan Turpin and Maggie Sawyer, and so on.
