Going in to the direct, I wish I wasn't so pessimistic about it, but if Nintendo truly is killing off the NSMB series then that'll vindicate all those people who treat NSMB fans as second class citizens, and I don't know if I could ever get over that

For Mario fans that’s a 10/10 direct.

Overall I’d rate it a 7 or 8. The Mario stuff is fantastic, Pokémon looks great, some of the indie games look really fun like the mechanic one.

Pikmins new features and gameplay is a neat formula shake up. The first two being made available is also great.

Detective Pikachu 1 was a fun game, so I hope the sequel can top it. Overall a very solid presentation.
