Sometimes you just have delusions of grandure about suddenly being handed sole ownership of a multi-million dollar franchise you've poured hours into and everything you'd do with that new power and influence. That's totally normal right?
Sorry but you're completely delusional. Sane people fantasise about being granted sole ownership of multiple IPs (source; am sane, have thought about doing major stuff for Pokemon, Steven Universe, Harry P*tter, the entirety of Marvel, and probably more)

My delusions of grandeur include completing my university assignments on time without breaking down under the pressure.

I have finished SRW original Generation.

It was a neat time to see the first game in this series that was localized but people forgot about. Will probably have to "Procure" OG2 down the line.

I still love the idea of a spiritual successor to SvC called “The King of Street Fighters” focusing on specifically crossing over the KoF shared universe (Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Psycho Soldier, Ikari Warriors, and King of Fighters OCs) and the Street Fighter shared universe (Street Fighter, Final Fight, Rival Schools, Slam Masters, and… something else to make it equal in number to the SNK side).

They can still do a game actually called Capcom vs SNK or SNK vs Capcom, but that should follow the precedent set by modern vs. Series games with lots of characters beyond those shared universes and fighting games. Then, with both games existing, both niches can be filled.

That's a neat idea but I feel like a bigger crossover would satisfy most people in the first place. Like, these are not two niches, they are one big thing and one small niche that's already encompassed by the former.

My brother surprised me the other day and gave me some cards for eshop credit knowing I had a rough week.

Decided to buy tropical freeze. Since it was on sale and I heard it’s a fantastic game.

that and I hope Nintendo learns people will buy discounted games and to do sales more often but that’s just wishful thinking.

Me: "Haha I'm not gonna watch the new Antman, doesn't interest me in the slightest!"
Friend I haven't seen in a while: "Hey Gwen wanna go to see the new Ant Man together?"
Now I have made plans to watch it.

Also I know nobody cares about toku beyond Cashregister but holy **** this anime stuff is incredible

And in terms of Guilty Gear news, I'm surprised with how Delilah is literally Bedman fighting to protect her, how we finally have That Man playable after all these years and how Bridget's the only character in the second season pass to not be important to Strive's story DLC

This is me with a lot of movies I watched but none of my friends want to see it

One of them has Disney+ and we talked about maybe watching it when it comes out there but knowing her she probably won't have the time

Mario fans are flipping their **** because the directors said that the Mario cast didn't have much of a personality before and the cast breathes in new life into them. But... they're kinda right on that.
Aside from Bowser, I wouldn’t say they’re completely wrong when it comes to the mainline games though I don’t think there was anything really wrong with that given the type of games they are and there’s still plenty of other games and official media that give more personality. Of course you’ll need to make changes when your media is completely story so I’m not surprised the characters are given a bit more to work with. Keep in mind that there’s more to a character’s personality than just their dialogue

The mainline games appeal to all ages because mainline Mario is squeaky clean, but at the cost almost every character is either a blank slate or damn near non-existant (something Sonic took advantage of).

I see people argue that the RPGs and spinoffs give them personality, and they're not wrong, but that's not what Nintendo markets nor is it what the movie is based on.

There are a few exceptions. Luigi, Wario, and Bowser have pretty solid personalities outside the RPGs. And there are probably a few others I’m not thinking of rn. But for the most part Mario characters aren’t known for having much…character.
Wario had too much personality unfortunately, so they banished him to two series, one of which they barely recognize, and the other they barely advertise

Ehhhh, I agree to an extent. To me, it's less that they don't have much of a personality, and more that it's very surface level. That works for the Mario titles since they have relatively simple, largely non-vocal plotlines, but when translating that to a movie, you'll need to flesh things out a bit more given the heavy focus on plot.

they’ll just need more Daisy into their main games (besides Run…I’ll still never understand how that woman trapped herself in a pipe) to force the cast to unleash their full potential. Also have Next Level Games get in on the mainline action as well

Luigi I think had kind of a personality. He gets scared easily but despite that faces his fears to save the day or save those close to him. Mario is clearly much braver and more courageous.

Don't know what they're going on about them not having personalities...

I mean outside of the spin-offs, yeah they don’t get much time to shine usually.

The Mario and Luigi series did a lot to add to the characters. So do the sports games.

…I agree
As the certified number one Tomboy advocator of all time, I agree female characters can be badass and I think it's an important aspect of Peach's character.

With that said I do not trust Illumination and really modern Hollywood in general to be able to make the distinction

I mean, I agree but Peach doesn't act like that so far in the trailers? She's confident but also shows that she can be teasing, cheerful, and kind and literally has the exact same pretty pink outfits from the games.

I don't think they're scrapping her feminine qualities just because she's taking stuff more seriously than usual.
