The last time I had a pet was 2020, and that's when my longest-living pet (a blue crowned conure/parakeet) of about 20 years had passed away.

I'd like to have some pets again someday, but as it stands my family's house currently lacks sufficient room and comfortable living space for anything other than maybe some fish.

I know some of y'all's, like Noivern and Mimikyu and Greninja and Weezing. But in general, discussing our top favorite pocket monster is just something I find really fun.

My favorite is Pikachu

I think my first experience with Pokémon was the anime episode where they met the fossil Pokémon and Ash’s Charmeleon evolved into Charizard; aside from Charizard being on the cover of the little box the VHS tape was in (if I remember correctly, at least; I was around 3 or 4 years old at the time), Pikachu was the first Pokémon I saw and I guess I just grew up loving him the most.

The same VHS also had the episode where they had to heal Pokémon at a human hospital, and the one with Jessebelle trying to force James into marrying her (I think this one also made me like Vileplume since I usually kept it in my party each time I played Red and Fire Red, nicknaming it “Wildplume”; it’s still one of my favorite grass types).

Anyway, here’s a top 10 for me:

1. Pikachu
2. Celebi
3. Gengar
4. Jigglypuff
5. Meowth
6. Ogrepon
7. Gardevoir
8. Charizard
9. Togekiss
10. Zorua

After Ogrepon, and maybe Gardevoir or Charizard, things kind of get fuzzy for me though since I think I love or like most Pokémon in general, though Togekiss is definitely up there and maybe Zorua too (I did at least love Zorua enough to make a 2nd Roblox account based on it when I was a kid xD). I put Gardevoir as my 7th because I still like it from when I had one for nearly the entire game in my first Alpha Sapphire playthrough when it was still new, and I used to place it as my sure 4th favorite.

Others I really like: Pichu, Raichu, Igglybuff, Wigglytuff, Togepi and Togetic, Porygon line, Gastly and Haunter, Magnemite line, Cyndaquil line, Chikorita line, Mareep, Ralts, Vaporeon, Umbreon, Ditto, Dragonite line, Farfetch’d line, Misdreavus…lots of others.

Not entirely sure. The Academy said that either the film in question chose not to qualify or due to not meeting Representation and Inclusion Standards (RAISE is the term used).
