Oh good, that's generally the approach I think people should take with this stuff. I'm making an Israel region, based on (unfortunately) my home country

Truegreen is from New York but he has middle eastern roots so his middle eastern region works imo.

Meanwhile I don't even like where I'm from so I made a region all about Dinosaurs.

it was a challenge to hear Conroy’s Batman without Hamill’s Joker for the Injustice games, but that was occurring during a short retirement instead of an unfortunate passing. Bright side is that they managed to do Killing Joke together in the end.

My fakedex I made way back was centered around angels and demons, rather than an irl region. It wasn't necessarily religious but rather was about good and evil. There was a Fairy/Fighting type legendary called Angealph, who was primarily a physical attacker, and then there was the Dark/Psychic type Devialph, who was a special attacker. There was also a mythical Pokemon called Vivi, who was actually a Human/Pokemon hybrid.

I remember some Pokemon that I also put aside as bonus Pokemon, such as Brawlroo (Fighting/Flying Kangaroo Pokemon) and Riocariu (Alternate Riolu evolution pure Fighting type).

Wish I still had the files.

So I caught up on all 4 episodes of Velma. So my in depth honest thoughts.
It's alright. I had very low expectations coming in but I was pleasently surprised, it truly wasn't even that bad. At worst, it was below mid, but at most I found some enjoyment out of it.

POSITIVES
  • It's super good looking. The animation and artstyle is genuinelly gorgeous, and I'm a fan of the redesigns (except Norville ironically, I think they could've done more). The hallucination scenes are super cool, and there was a really clever callback to the old art style of Scooby Doo in episode 4.​
  • I'm actually invested in the mysteries: there's three big overarching mysteries (2 which relate to Velma) and it's a constant theme throughout the show, Velma's like the only competent detective though so that's fun.​
  • Norville's pretty cool. He's kind of a simp but outside of that I actually like his character.​
  • The visual humor is actually really good​
MIXED BAGS
  • Velma is actually kinda annoying, but here's the catch: the show always paints here in the wrong. She has fhe correct motive but the show always lets her know that the things she says and does is wrong and it has negative consequences on the people around here. But damn can she get irritating.
  • Jokes. Some miss, some hit. I laughed sometimes, but othertimes it was ass. And there are a fair amount of groan-worthy jokes. But hey, this show can be funny, my first out loud laugh was episode 2 so it didn't take all too long.
Negatives
  • Side characters are awful. The main cast is fine, Fred, Daphene, Velma Norville, and their parents are alright. The side characters though, are horrible. Just mean girl stereotypes that been done to death before.
  • Bad first impression: Episode 1 wasn't good, ans it felt like it was gonna get Eiverdale's fast as hell. I won't go into this cause I'm sure y'all saw the clips.
  • Nudity and sex jokes gets annoying. It was bad in episode one but they toned it down a lot shortly after, but it does pop up time to time and it gets annoying. Episode 4 in particular wasn't bad but just boring cause of it.
Overall
It's not that bad, I actually enjoyed it. I'm actually kinda interested in the next couple of episodes. Not mt favorite, but you know the shows you put on to pass time cause you really don't have anything to do? To me, that's Velma.

TLDR: Show's OK, some good, bad and ugly, I am actually somewhat interested on where the story will go.

I will say that ScVi's dolphin was WAY ****ing better than the one I made.

A Water/Electric type called Voltphin, which evolves into Dolphoon, with a signature ability that made it airborne and sets up rain.

Levitate/Drizzle- **** off younger me.

When I was a kid I drew a fake tumbleweed pokemon that was really just a tumbleweed with eyes. It was a terrible and uninspired design but I just thought that it would be a cool concept for a grass/ghost type.

I was really hoping that one day someone at Gamefreak would have the same idea and make something more interesting but uh

Yeah no, tumbelweed with eyes just isn't that interesting.

Really cool idea, just hard to execute I guess.

It's supposed to be gold. That black dude is the first black 6th which is cool but this is a sequel. And last show's red, who's black, is not here, which is why despite plenty of praise for our first female red, something Sentai didn't do, black Power Ranger fans have expressed disappointment.


Also they got rid of pink in this sequel show. Sentai stays winning with malewife pink KijiBrother

The further away I get from release the less the allure to Scarlet and Violet I have. I’m not sure I’m gonna buy it anymore. I was interested in it for a while but… I’m not anymore. I don’t want to run around another big open space doing random **** for the sake of “exploring”. As cool as the new Pokémon look… that’s not enough of an incentive. It just blows.
