I thought there was finally enough counters to this argument that the thought pattern wouldn't exist anymore.
DuckTales and the Animaniacs reboot are generally considered the best examples of how do an animated series reboot/sequel right, but they're also some of the vrery few examples that people really talk about, and Samurai Jack's 5th season is (or, at least a few episodes of it are) divisive.

It also doesn't help that, regardless of what you think of the show or any improvements to it's writing over time, Teen Titans Go has very likely left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths by Cartoon Network airing it far more than literally any other show barring maybe Gumball for several years. That's going to garner many complaints from a lot of people and critics regardless of whether or not they were fans of the original Teen Titans show.

Samurai Jack season 5 was the coolest **** in the world for like 3 episodes.

After that…I wouldn’t say it was bad. Still way better than some other shows. But it definitely got a little messy.

Surprise Fortnite collab update:

Trunks from Dragon Ball is out now along with the Androids and some X-Men

Edit: X-Men are gone. Likely meant to be a D23 announcement.

Trunks, along with Androids 17 and 18 are still available.

Tower of Heaven’s music is really pretty.

There’s also this cool fan remix:

What if they added Tower of Heaven to the next Smash game? Everyone’s probably expecting Shantae, Quote, Frisk, Cuphead, or Reimu to be our first indie character if we get one…but then here comes Eid from a very short but cool game made in Flash.

Oh, don't get me wrong, early Samurai Jack season 5 was amazing. I even saw people across the net suggesting or believing clips of it might be used in animation classes some day.

But the ending was...weird, to say the least. And the third to last episode was more awkward than it ever needed to be.

I honestly think that the season could've benefited from having 15 episodes instead of 10. The last few episodes felt rushed.

The same could be said for Primal honestly.

I adore Tartakovsky’s work but he tends to stumble a bit when it comes to endings. They always come off as rushed.

On the Bill Cipher website, there is a special message if you type in Fortnite

I am not saying it's a hint, but also it could be a hint

The gravity falls site has several codes referring to

“anti gravity falls -1”

Or basically a before gravity falls. So prequel series incoming? Ford tv show?

It’s also worth noting that there are several character pages you can access such as Pacifica lore, and new Robbie stuff.
Except…

Those all take place in time frames after the original show. For example there is a pic labeled 7/20 of Robbie being…

chased by a giant bill in the woods.

so could we actually get a prequel and sequel show? Maybe one that bounces back and forth?

Damn nevermind you get the same message for typing in "Skibidi"

Also, oh ****, oh ****

Gravity Falls series spoilers and spoilers from that new website

What are they cooking???

EDIT:
If you keep clicking on Stanley's tabs you get a bunch of creepy things that implies that Bill Cipher is in a lot of pain and then a cipher that requires decoding, that eventually ends with the phrase "I'm still on your mind"

Somewhere out there on this big blue marble
Update on the Generations delisting
20240810_041753.jpg

Idk why but it seems Sega's knocking it out of the park with Sonic related PR lately, first the dual cover for Sonadow Gens and then making a more affordable bundle like this
EDIT: In case it's unclear, Generations Collection likely includes the game and the Casino Night pinball DLC

Wait I'm HELLA out of the loop what's this about Gravity Falls???
The Book of Bill released, and with it came a new Gravity Falls ARG website called Thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com.

For the longest time it was just a countdown (even counting negative time for a bit) but now there’s all sorts of Easter eggs and secrets.

Bill even says a swear! :4pacman:

It’s always weird when Disney parodies someone else. It feels like they’re punching down.
Don’t worry, there’s also the bit where PIXAR practically calls out Disney’s working conditions by having Anxiety turn Riley’s Imagination Land into a 1984 inspired animation sweatshop where Joy isn’t allowed

That feels even weirder considering it’s still a Disney movie and they allowed it to go out. Meaning they know that’s what it’s like for them and didn’t think it being in one of their movies would damage their image.

I mean the company’s not a monolith despite what you may believe. Also probably helps the scene was made under a direct reference to the infamous 1984 Apple commercial so the callout might not be as obvious to some

Toy Story 5 will be about how "Phone Bad"

There can be a way to not make it just be "Phone bad" but my very little faith in this movie is making me doubtful.

EDIT: Okay Andrew Stanton is directing, I may have to rescind my snarky comment
Woody I cannot click the book
And the Disney train keeps on a rollin'
I see the pig will actually be more involved in the film this time

ALSO IS THAT A VILLAIN?
I want to believe but it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a Disney sequel.
