I’m kind of exaggerating. But I had a horrible time in school at all levels so stories set there really turn me off. To the point where I have a hard time understanding why writers would willingly place their characters there.

I hated stuff set in school while I was in school because I hated school. It's one of the reasons I always hated the fact that everything made for kids starred kids because they always had to go to school. That's totally fine too. But for the most part Disventure Camp tones down the gross-out a LOT. There's still some moments of it (episode 5 of season 1's eating challenge comes to mind, but that's also one of the best eps so far) but it's overall a LOT less egregious
I mean... you have to work really hard to make school interesting... and not traumatic.
what’s the other live action Nick show at the top? And why is it either the iCarly shows, Drake & Josh, Kenan & Kel, House of Anubis or The Troop?
For most people school is just boring. Don't project your hang-ups onto the general populace
I mean a lot of them do, it's a pretty safe location to use but you can pretty much throw it in any enviroment and it works because of how broad it is.

I’d place it that high myself if it wasn’t for iCarly. 2007 show was already great as is, but that 2021 sequel having the nerves to wrap up storylines and build upon what the old show tried to ignore has been amazing
