Just saw Wicked. It was fun. Not amazing. But fun.

I think most of the problems I have with it are just how it specifically decides to be a prequel to the Wizard of Oz. Some of the elements just don't line up to me. Like it's weird that there's this Harry Potter esque boarding school in Oz. It's weird that technically the Wicked Witch is part Munchkin despite the fact that she's not tiny. In fact none of the munchkins were particularly short. And maybe it's just me, but I never thought the Scarecrow or Tin Man were ever anything but a scarecrow and a tin man. So the fact that they started out as normal humans is just... weird.

Also it just deals tonally dissonant to have the prequel to The Wizard of Oz spend it's first half focused on high school drama... or college drama... I can't tell. How old are they supposed to be? They're still being played by the actors and actresses who will play them as adults when Dorothy shows up as evidence by the opening, but you can not ever get me to believe that the Wicked Witch of the West was that young in the original film.

IDK. Maybe if I had seen it as a stage show I'd feel differently about it but the story and product as is just feels weird to me in a lot of ways.

I still think I prefer Oz the Great and Powerful

Less than a hundred pages to finishing Douglas Preston's Extinction.

Then onto Krampus: The Yule Lord in time for the holidays! :D

Yes, yes it did.

It’s also getting the Fisher Price treatment.
…I was not expecting either of these things to go down on this day
Did they change the ending for the volume release? I know that some series improve the art for the volume release if the magazine version wound up being rougher than expected (Hunter x Hunter comes to mind), though I can't think of too many cases where major plot points changed.
we’ll find out everything December 4th, but they seem to be tying up loose ends

that and them making Bakugo the 15th ranked hero

Family brought home a pizza tonight and I'm just like

"Dudes do you remember the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers?"

Anyway, pass the yams.
My family and I usually eat Thanksgiving dinner for like a full week or so.

Having leftovers ready to warm back up makes days a lot easier as we start decorating for Christmas lol.

Do people care about love stories anymore?

Cuz I’ve been working on a concept that I really like. It’s not like one of those overly schmaltzy Hallmark movies, but the core of the story is the romantic connection between the main characters.

I’ve been curious about this 🤔

I do.

I think there's been a decline in romantic movies lately since big studios are laser-focused on blockbusters but you'll always find a dedicated following for romance, especially in books. And even if you wouldn't classify the story as romance, it wouldn't hurt to have a strong relationship between the leads.
