Genuinely, I'm surprised Sega hasn't done an Evil Sonic plot yet. The potential is HUGE, and frankly I'd be totally on board for it.
The whole idea is meant to be a throwback to the SatAM and Archie stuff but executed differently, with an older alt version of Sonic (ideally voiced by Jaleel White) who goes by Boom acting as the dictator and Robotnik as his unwilling and slightly incompetent inventor/henchmen.

I also like the Idea of using this parallel universe stuff to have Shadow fight an evil alternate adult version of Maria who's her universe's Eggman stand-in.
Yeah they can't do an "Evil Sonic" anymore
**** Penders. He didn't even create Scourge. Anyway my execution of the idea is completely different from him anyway.

I just thought of how Ms. Marvel and Ghost-Spider are both 2014 characters who managed to become college students in the comics and even had massive jobs (via internships and band gigs (also the whole death to mutant combo and the whole randomly deported twice thing))…

but the Spidey homie Miles is still underaged, unemployed, still in high school, and was instead made into a vampire…damn

You right now:

I actually had an idea in the past of a parallel universe Sonic game, but it was different. It focused on the Babylon Rogues (or as they were known in this universe, the Babylon Heroes), who led a liberation front to stop the corrupt Knothole Empire led by the evil Queen Sally Acorn and her #1 lieutenant Sonic. They were helped along the way by Metal Sonic, here a protagonist designed by a more morally grey Eggman to act as an elite warrior during the great war with Knothole (not knowing Queen Sally was manipulating him into building an even stronger weapon she planned to steal for herself), and, of course, the Deadly Six (here known as the Friendly Six), who had DEEPLY traumatized backstories caused by the cruel actions of Sally and Sonic and their followers.

Your idea's a lot better though, it's not mindlessly dark like mine was lol

Ugh...my mom is sick and it's upsetting me.

She's telling me not to worry, and really, I know I shouldn't. She's tough. But this is the second time she's been sick in the past month, and that scares me.

I just feel pretty helpless and afraid.

Sick how? Is it a cold or something else?
Specifically, it's an awful cough. I hear her hacking up a lung no matter where she is in the house.

She's feeling better than she was yesterday and will be visiting a doctor tomorrow, so logically, I shouldn't be afraid. I know she's mending. But it's the fact that this is the second time in such a short timespan she's been sick that worries me.

It reminds me of a certain Bluey episode. Chili is worried about her father because he's recently been through a surgery, and says this...
1732832266979.png

And I'm kind of in that position right now. I just want my mom to be healthy, cuz I still need her. She's immeasurably important to me, and so is her happiness and good health.

I just want her to be okay, man.

Anyway, Pink Yoshi Pink Yoshi ? Here are some of my ideas.

Open Zone Race Tracks. In Open Zone areas like in Sonic Frontiers, or levels that are big in area, there would be racetrack like areas that, when Sonic enters them, block Sonic out from the rest of the Open Zone until he finds an exit, which there are plenty of, by the way. These sections are like the 2.5D sections in the open world, and while they are mainly for going fast, they are ones with platforms and splitting routes. These can twist and turn, too, and have loops. With that, Sonic's moveset is like in the Cyberspace stages, so there is little combat, though the camera can still be performed. They are like 3D levels in the Open Zone, and don't necessarily have 2.5D sections in them.

Momentum Based Double Jump: When gathering momentum and launching high from something like a ramp and going high; at the top of the high jump, the Double Jump button can be pressed for an equally high and quickly started double jump, which can reach higher areas.

Separate Area In Level Access: When Sonic builds momentum and is launched high from a ramp, Sonic, if high enough, can not only reach higher areas, but can reach separate areas in the same level disconnected from the main path, or areas in the main path that are otherwise inaccessible. Sonic can be launched horizontally or vertically as well as diagonally.

Free Fall and Downward Running Mix: Look at 2:00 to 2:27 here.

Also, look at 1:15 to 1:25 here.

With this, Sonic can effectively use or do both sky diving and downward wall running, so if he jumps off walls while running downward on them, he can literally jump off to skydive instead, and go back onto the wall to go down if if he wishes while skydiving.

Wall Running Side Step: Check out 1:40 to 1:49 here.

See how Sonic goes around corners and all?

Well, with this, Sonic can effectively use this technique, called the Side Step, on the ground and walls, whether running up, down or across them. On the ground, by the player pressing the X button or Square Button before hitting something and then side stepping left or right, continuing his motion at his previous speed when he goes of the corner of a wall he was sidestepping across. This also works on going across walls with projected objects and irregularities on them, as Sonic can sidestep up or down to get around them regardless of gravity. Same for going up or down walls, too. To run on a surface on the ground or wall and stay on them and not depart from them when going around the corner, like in the video) just jump higher against the wall and cling to it before sidestepping.

Sphere Clinging And Running: Like climbable, able-to-be-run-on walls in Sonic Frontiers, Sonic can do the same with spheres, cylinders and other round objects, whether they rotate or not. Sonic can thus, while at the bottom of the round object, hang and brachiate (if quickly) or hang on the outer parts above the bottom like on a flat wall. Sonic does not need to cling on anything if he is at the top.

Loop Dash: This works just like the Spin Dash, only Sonic moves on loops instead of spinning. When charged and aimed, Sonic can dash off and do continuous loop motions when travelling with this move, and despite the looping, this is just as fast as the Spin Dash or Boost. Enemies caught in the loop will suffer a Cyloop-like effect, and this move can knock down enemies and defeat them, too.

Ramp Speed Adjustment: Whether being launched from a red or yellow ramp, Sonic can adjust his speed through use of the player tilting the Control Stick forward or backward. The Control Stick being tilted backward will slow Sonic down, and tilting it forward will make Sonic go faster while in the air. There is a middle speed, but Sonic can reach further areas (by going faster), reach areas he would otherwise pass over (going slower) or get to areas that are a mix of going faster and slower and thus require precise speed control.

Celebrity Corner Zone

This level is some kind of park that pays tribute to celebrities, from actors to singers to writers, etc. This is similar to the memorials in Washington DC of the USA, except that those celebrities here are either alive or dead. Here, there are many things to be seen just like in a museum, except this is still a park. Here, Eggman is trying to take over and ruin, as well as deface things here in this area, so naturally, it is up to Sonic and friends to go and stop him. These are all fictional celebrities being celebrated here, by the way.

In the celebrity actors area, there are stages with quick time events where Sonic and friends can try to act out a scene. If they succeed, they get lots of rings. In the musicians area, there are plenty of musical notes to bounce off of as well as microphones that are also bounceable. There are celebrity inventors with inventions on display that the heroes can interact with, like a telephone and its wires as well as many other different things throughout this section.

In the dance personalities section, the players can choose to partake in a music minigame where they will have to time their moves while running, similar to the musical levels in Rayman Legends. In the celebrity writers section of the level, there are words that the heroes can put together by knocking them into each other, rewarding the heroes with goodies should they get things right. In the celebrity comedians section of the level,. there are many jokes to be read. Depending on what is read, the heroes might open up new routes if they choose the right ones, though they can't read them all. There are also celebrity fashion designers and models sections where the heroes can interact with stages and go through them, with clothes on if they choose to wear them for special rewards.

Additional Information: Something like this would be the music.

Job Jostle Zone

In this zone, Sonic and friends go through what happens to be an area that is job or occupation themed, and has many different things associated with such. With this kind of level, the heroes will have to get around through all the different themes and tools associated with jobs, all in hopes to get to Eggman, who is trying to shut down the place for some reason, which is perhaps him thinking he matters. The jobs must be saved by Sonic and friends!

In this zone, there are police whistles that can blow the heroes forward, and there are police handcuffs that can be used as traversable loops, but they can move and crush the heroes. There are doctors' stethoscopes for listening to hearts that launch the heroes upward when they touch the bottom rubber part, and there are patient tables the heroes can push and ride, sometimes down hills where they will start to speed up.

There are firemen's hoses the heroes can use to launch themselves around, and there are teachers' erasers and chalks the heroes can hit to erase or write things. There are cash registers of stores that can open to reveal rings to collect (don't worry; it's legal!) if hit the right way, and there are various farmers' tools that harm or help the heroes should they need them. There are microscopes and telescopes of scientists that shrink or enlarge the heroes respectively, pipes and wrenches from plumbers, the wrenches being used to fix leaks, computer technicians' computers that can open doors if hit the right way, as well as engineering measuring tools that can be moved to be used to get to higher areas, and there is much more to be seen here!

Fanatic Frenzy Zone

In this zone, Sonic and friends go through what happens to be a fanzone, a get-together for fans to watch sports, music bands or performers without being at the concert, shows or stadium themselves. This is an esports concert, meaning the heroes will deal with entertainment and esports things as they goo to find Eggman, who seems to be here for some reason.

In the outdoor section, there are many games that can be found that people play while waiting for the show. These are virtual reality booths that have games visible without VR goggles, and Sonic and friends can interact with them. There are food booths the heroes can buy food at using rings, and there are TV screens the heroes can jump off of. There are also tables that are knocked over due to bombs under them.

With that said, in the indoor sections, Sonic and friends come across bands playing that release musical notes that the heroes can bounce off of tor each higher areas. Some nearby TVs have 3D effects, meaning things will pop out towards the heroes if they are near to attack them, so it is best to watch out. There are more games and food booths, as well as a store the heroes can find many goodies at. They can't buy them, but they can bounce off of or interact with some of them.

Missing Memory Zone

In this zone, Sonic and friends go through ruins of a technologically advanced civilization where many gates, still active, can be used to enter visions of the past, and there are brains preserved that can lead to memories of people in the ruins. This is like Tikal's visions of Sonic Adventure 1 and the ARK memory levels of Shadow the Hedgehog, the game. Eggman is after something here, so it is up to the heroes to find out what he is after.

In this zone, there are machines creating laser fences the heroes must overcome, though the machines can be destroyed. There are computers that can be hit to open doors and gates, and there are many techno pipes that still work that the heroes can spin through to reach other areas. There are also gravity inversion sections too, where the heroes are able to walk and run on walls and ceilings.

But the real main feature comes in the form of working gates and brains, some of the gates being able to work only if activated. These lead the heroes into visions of the past, or in the memories of citizens there with the brains. Here in these sections, all the machines work here, and many of them can be used to get around the stage. Some of the citizens may not welcome the characters, though, and may make an effort to attack them. There are also optional puzzles that can be found here, which can open new alternate routes or even make hidden items not able to be reached before accessible.

Additional Information: Something like this would be the music for Act 1.

And this for Act 2.

So, what do you think?

All super cool stuff. Some of your movement ideas in particular would fit in really nicely into the Sonic games of today.

Also Rayman Legends-inspired musical levels in a Sonic game??? PEAK.

I don't think I ever got "Where gf"'d at by family. The only person I can think of that has ever asked me that is one of the workers at a convenience store in my neighborhood who has known me for over a decade at this point. He asks me that every now and again and last time was a few weeks ago, it was especially amusing to me considering what my life looks like right now and what I know about myself

What are we? Some kind of Sonic Heroes?
I legit think a Sonic Heroes esque movie with all the different characters finally working together would be amazing.

Ideally Rouge and Amy would have been in 3 but they’re not so I guess next time. Maybe do Rouge and Omega in the Shadow movie. Amy can be introduced in Sonic 4 and that movie can have Chaos as the main villain. Big the Cat can be introduced as a running gag at any time. Do a Knuckles Chaotix spinoff movie to introduce the Chaotix. Have Silver and Blaze be the focus of Sonic 5. And then do the Sonic Heroes movie. Introduce Cream in that movie since she’d probably only really fit there.

There’s Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure, Sonic 06 (which they’re not gonna do), Sonic Heroes, a Shadow spinoff series or movie…

There’s more material to adapt. Though I think once we get to maybe Sonic 4 or 5 they should start thinking about wrapping it up. I don’t really want this to be an MCU thing where it keeps going and going.

I mean, if the games can keep going on forever why not the films?

Movies and video games are different mediums.

A video game franchise can go on for decades and still be just fine. But when a movie franchise goes on long enough it starts getting really, really dumb.

I’m not sure why exactly this happens, maybe it’s one of those rules of nature. Like the sun shining or grass growing.

inb4 there’s a Sonic movie reference in the Yakuza TV show that connects it in-universe

I'm hankering to play more Shantae games but I want to play chronologically and Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution is still a good while away from release (and I replayed the original game many months ago).

Maybe playing Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World again will help ease the itch for a little while.

According to rumors it’s not ending at 3 as outlined below.

Fans speculate next trilogy will take the group to space and leave the humans behind. Also they could adapt the comics, other Sonic shows, or even make their own story if they wanted to.

I think they aim for two trilogies. Like I said above, still plenty of potential there, that I’m sure they see as well.
