Is this a safe space for a possibly controversial opiion?

Sonic Superstars seems fine, game looks fun and all, but there is something just off about the game, and I think the biggest culprit is that I do not like how the game looks visually. Normally I can overlook that, but just Sonic Superstars just looks half-assed to me. Nothing against putting Classic Sonic in 3D but it looks nowhere near as visually interesting if it's trying to emulate the style of the Genesis games and CD, heck I think Gens pulled off the style much better. It feels like they just didn't go all the way artistically and what we get instead is New Super Sonic 4, and I wouldn't be complaining if the game wasn't $60. Like it being short is one thing but if it's gonna cost that much than it should either have the length to justify it or the visual style to justify it but it has neither and I'm just feel nothing everytime I see new footage.

Reminder that there has only been two known 2D Mario platformers that were canceled: "Virtual Boy Mario Land" for Virtual Boy and "Super Mario's Wacky Worlds" for Philips CD-i

With leaks for the first dlc out, people are now speculating what could happen in DLC 2.

I saw this pointed out and it’s very interesting:

Every Pokémon in this image except chimecho is unevolved.

Two of them are Pokémon with ties to Gen 4’s evolutions and prevolution.

So could chimecho’s presence here, one of the most random Pokémon choices of all time, indicate an evolution in the second dlc?

A lot of people speculated it would be a good fit for Lacy. So I think this is interesting, it reminds me of the trailer scarlet and violet did were dunsparce and girafarig were just chilling next to each other. Hinting at their new evolutions.

I hope this pans out, chimecho deserves the W.

General daily thoughts:

Pokemon Leaks - Nothing too surprising, although I'm kind of surprised there were leaks to begin with considering it's DLC. I'll probably wait until both packs come out before playing either, just in case we get another physical release with the DLC included on the cart. SwSh DLC really shot up in price real quick.

Hatsune Miku - Honestly more fitting than any of the other artists they've gone to. It feels much more nature of a collab. I assume she'll be paired with Meloetta, Jigglypuff, Sirfetch'd, and Skeledirge for those respective types. Not really a fan, but I do have a soft spot for the Big Band styled song "Miracle Paint," so I might check this out.

SMB Wonder - Was already sold on the game from the initial trailer, so they didn't really need to do much of anything else to get my money. I'll be curious to know if we'll get extra characters as DLC. I'm still a little annoyed that true multi-player is still local only, but at least the online features there still seem robust. Badges offering different abilities was probably the highlight of the Direct IMO; speed runners are going to have a field day with this.

Here, some new babies I can think of:

• Baby Daisy = Allows Yoshi to use a watering can, which can grow flowers to open new paths and fill containers with water.
• Baby Rosalina = Allows Yoshi, in certain areas, to change gravity allowing him to walk on ceilings, reach new areas, and jump high as if moon gravity was activated.
• Baby Waluigi = Allows Yoshi to wield a tennis racket to serve tennis balls and hit back projectiles at enemies.

Also as for my thoughts on Mario Wonder, I'm not really one for 2D Mario in general but it looks really fun with the power ups and badge system. Pour one out for Paper Mario fans, I haven't seen any complain about the mainline games using it's old badge system so I am assuming they all killed themselves
