According to all known lawsnof aviation, there is no way a bees shouldbe able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Coming!

I've been reading this from one of the Reddit threads someone listed the characters that were cut from Marvel Vs Capcom 3 & Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3:

Which characters from the list would've like to see if Marvel Vs Capcom 3 were still in development and which ones do you think deserve to be in the next Marvel Vs Capcom game?
still waiting for a Breath of Fire character, Demitri and another Spiderman villain that isn't Venom
I swear, Demitri has been in games without Midnight Bliss, so at this point, he shouldn't need it at this point for one.
To boot there are characters that could not even conceivably be made human, let alone female.
Not that that has ever stopped them before for two.

I'm feeling really sad about a lot of stuff, so I feel that maybe writing about stuff I like could help me kinda cope with everything going on in my life.

I've been thinking a lot these past months about Super Mario Bros 2 or Super Mario USA as some call It these past months.

People just tend to see It as the Doki Doki Panic reskin many videogame history videos refer to It as... But beyond that I feel that there's a genuine great game behind It all (at least for the standards of the time).

For starters, It was one of the few NES platformers which allowed you to play as four different characters at any time, and each one of them had a skill or gimmick which made them unique. For the time, that was kinda a really great bonus.

A lot of iconic enemies came from that game too: the Bob-Ombs, Birdo, the Pokey iirc, Wart, Ninji and even the Shy Guys. Many enemies which nowadays we can't completely imagine a new Mario game without.

And then there's the music, imo one of the most underrated parts of the game. A lot of really iconic musical tunes such as the level 1 theme, the character select music or the theme when you fight Birdo. Imo one of the most overlooked OSTs in the Mario series.

It also had a really unique gameplay, never completely seen ever again in future Mario games. Super Mario 3D World got a lot of inspiration from It, and Captain Toad did bring back the ability of taking herbs out of the ground. However we haven't seen any new 2D Mario trying to recreate the exact gameplay style again, which I feel still has potential.

All in all, while the game does share flaws with many other NES games, I deeply believe that Super Mario Bros 2/USA is a constantly overlooked title and shouldn't really be as downscaled as It used to be online just for being a reskin of an existing Game (which was originally planned with an engine for a new Mario game anyways). Thankfully as time has went on It seems that people inside the Mario community has started to appreciate more the good things the game brought into the series, which is really great to see.

Yeah, that felt really nice to write down.
