I'm slightly more calm right now, but still emotionally lost.

I feel I won't sleep tonight, may spend the night playing Final Fantasy VII.

Too sad to play Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, as much as I wish to.
Hey man. If it makes you feel less alone, I had a giant depressive spell recently. I had bottled up emotions since September since the girl I loved left me, and when my parents both caught Covid (my father is an 80 year old diabetic with high blood pressure, and my mother is a 64 year old diabetic), I snapped and started crying every night, often unprovoked.
Since then, they have fully recovered, I'm on a new med plan, and I reached out to the girl I lost, and we're talking again.

The point is that every once in a while, we feel stuck, and life can feel like it's going by so slowly, but you have to believe in yourself and fight those feelings of hopelessness. Either they will get better, or you will learn to cope.
Depression is often not caused by a single traumatic event, but more like death by 1,000 cuts. You gotta take things one step at a time. Celebrate the small victories like, "I didn't cry today," or "things didn't get worse today," and you'll eventually notice the victories become more noticable like, "Today was actually pretty good," and "I felt important today."

Even now, I don't claim to be 100% stress free, but it's not crippling me like it was before, and that's a major victory.

EDIT: Also, I totally understand being too sad for video games. Mario 3D All-Stars came out right when my depression hit, and I STILL haven't 100%ed Galaxy (on the collection) despite it being one of my all time favorite games, because my depression made the game not feel as magical as it did when I was 13. So not feeling joy where I KNEW I was supposed to made my depression worse, so I put the game on hold.
The same thing happened with... well, let's call it "adult material". I knew intuitively that the girls were attractive, and that I liked it, but it didn't give me the spark it normally did, and that alone made me call a doctor, as losing libido was a major concern.
I had even told one of my girlfriends, "Look, I know intuitively that I find you beautiful, but my brain isn't clicking for joy. I just want to talk." Luckily, she understood and listened to my feelings.

But the solution I found was finding more passive entertainment. Video games and romance are interactive, so they need human input to be satisfying. While you're emotionally down, that can be difficult if not completely unfulfilling.
So what I did was watch YouTube videos on hotels (I find them cozy and comforting) and animals (I also enjoy casually learning Biology). It wasn't "fun" in the same sense video games are, but it was a healthy break from the depression, and it made the pain much more bearable.
So find something you like and just watch YouTube videos about it. Learn a new math formula, learn a new language, watch a video on the mating habits of kangaroos, or anything that mildly interests you and keeps your mind off the negativity.

I'm one of the few who prefers DB over DBZ.
I may just join you in that camp once I complete the manga. While I've read a fair portion of it before and I'm familiar with the major story beats, this will actually be my first time going through the whole thing. Sucks how Z toned down the adventure aspects of the original in favor of more fighting and how insignificant the majority of the cast became compared to the Saiyans.

If SEGA were to make a Smash clone, what third party characters should be in it? Characters who were important to SEGA back when they still made consoles like Mega Man and Castlevania for Nintendo? So far I've got Earthworm Jim, Toejam and Earl, and Mortal Kombat. What else?

Banjo and Kazooie were in Sega All-Stars Racing for XBox 360. So that seems plausible enough for me.

A TF2 character to add to that

it looks like our internet is gonna be down until tommorow, maybe even the day after that too. Don’t think I’ll be able to do much with what little of my phone plan I have left either.

I'm actually thinking about a SEGA fighting crossover currently. I probably won't have much time to do it justice because all the midterms this week but it's fun to research! Maybe we should compare notes sometime.

Also, the answer to your question is Hatsune Miku.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

I'm really grateful for everyone who shared all the condolences and kind words the other day concerning my bird. Thank you.

Christmas was still a really fun day with my family, and I'm grateful for that, too. Only damper on it was the fact that my lifelong pet parrot wasn't here for it.

I've been feeling okay for the most part, but it still hurts whenever I' think about him or the daily routines I'd follow to take care of him. I still have to get used to knowing that I can't followi that routine anymore.

I hope eveyone else has had a good time with thr holidays, in any case.

I am spent most of the night playing Ghost of tsushima.
This game so far has ended up pulling me in a lot more than i expected, exploring the ancient Japan wilderness is fun.

My big bro’s present to me finally came in. Man, he pulls through.

I’ve only had a Sonic fighting game in mind, but I’m sure I can help out too.

I’m really tempted to buy some of the new Bakugan which have actual gate cards instead of the Bakucores(which imo were a huge step down).... but on the other hand I only have like $50 which isn’t a whole lot. Let alone actually finding them anywhere, I can’t even buy them on TCGplayer and very few stores seem to actually have any. We might be heading out of town to do some shopping tomorrow so I guess we’ll see.

In lighter news...

Alright KingofPhantoms KingofPhantoms ya got me.

Tonight I’ll watch an episode of The Owl House.

no promises on the rest of the show tho :nifty:
I'm glad to hear that.

Besr in mind that more than s few main/supporting cast characters don't get introduced until a few episodes in. But the 1st episode still establishes a lot about the leads and settin, and is a really fun watch on it's own.
