I grew up with Kingdom Hearts, so that's how I knew him. Didn't play actual FFVII until earlier this year.

I played Reoded as a kid and was immensely confused because I didn't understand anything that was happening. But that's the only one I've actually "played," the rest I just watched the cutscenes of.

I knew of Sephiroth long before Ultimate. I also knew of Cloud long before Smash 4.

Cloud was so fun in Smash 4.

I know about Sephiroth and the Final Fantasy VII cast because of Kingdom Hearts and videos about either the cancelled version of Final Fantasy VII on N64 or theories about reviving Aerith.

it's actually because the Nintendo 64 runs on cartriges, which store way less data. FF7 alreay takes 3 disks, it would probably take 10-15 cartriges.

Mostly throught 2, i didn't have context for these guysback in Chain of Memories.

I learned about Sephiroth through the mouths of people online, pics, and a small amount of video clips. Not much beyond that beyond he's a bad guy.

Though I can fix that with FF7 I purchased awhile back.

Yeah, the gameplay in the first Kingdom hearts game isn't very good, it's too clunky and a lot of the worlds are badly designed.

I gotta be honest, I never finished Kingdom Hearts.

I played through the first Kingdom Hearts (Final Mix specifically) once and I never want to do it again because the platforming and combat system suck.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is the only "good" KH game from what I've played, IMO, and my praise really only applies to the post game content with the data boss fights and Lingering Will.
