Correct. I think you also need a Bank subscription though after March 2023 you only need the Home subscription.

Transferring from Go is Free though be aware that if you have at least 30 Pokémon that cannot be put into any of the Gen 8 games then you cannot use Home until you release some.

Almost forgot, the same restrictions of transferring Pokémon between games if they are programmed into the game will still exist for BDSP and Legends.

So BDSP can have the Gen 1-4 mons in their original forms while Legends can only have the mons specifically programmed into it (All the Gen 4 Mons and their families, a selection of mons from Gens 1-3, the Gens 5-7 mons that have a specific Hisui form or are related to one, and the new Mons. Based on research, sorry but Pumpkaboo and Mienshao aren't eligible to go back in time. Also applies to forms of Pokémon in these two games such as the starter final evolutions, which can only go to Legends, but only the Hisui form and not the original).

That means there are roughly 62 Pokémon that cannot be used in a Gen 8 game (63 if counting Unovan Samurant).
