10 years?

That's... will the MCU still be alive by then?
Marvel is turning more and more into a TV show, and I don't just mean that because they're literally starting to make TV shows. I mean the consistent release schedule with increasingly interconnected stories that require tuning in thrice a year or so to keep up with the plot. More money that way and you keep the fans hooked. And TV shows, especially American TV shows, can run long. Did you know General Hospital is STILL on the air? And don't get me started on Law & Order or Family Guy.

The MCU isn't going anywhere for a long while. The current slate is doing well enough, the pandemic is a factor and whilst BW got hit hard by it (on top of being okay at best), Shang-Chi did really well for a relative unknown and Spider-Man did insanely well. Eternals is the one out and out flop but they still have plans considering Black Knight's set for the future.

Dr Strange's pre-sale tickets are looking extremely good, the general reception to the D+ shows has been good albeit with plenty of issues, typically in the finales. People are really excited for Thor 4 and there's still Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, Guardians 3 and Ant-Man 3 coming plus Loki season 2 among others. Beyond that there's clear plans for Midnight Suns and Young Avengers, we're getting more Daredevil again, Fantastic 4 are coming and if they don't pull a Fox that'll be huge with Galactus and Doom and beyond that, we still don't know what they're doing with the X-Men which can again be massive if they don't **** it up.

There's a **** load of stuff to keep the MCU going for another decade minimum, the only thing that can really **** it up is pulling a DCEU and having flop after flop after flop and actually awful films that put the executives into a panic.

good thing Marvel is ran by Kevin Feige, so having countless flops is practically impossible

wish DC had someone like him running things

I just watched that episode and...wow. That's what I call a ride. Can we just skip to the next week, please?
It was a brilliantly crafted episode and I really do hope that Marvel Studios has further plans for Moon Knight and for Oscar Isaac who has been brilliant in his role so far.

Anyways, remember back during the beginning of the first episode, there was a scene when a girl asked Steven "And did it suck for you, getting rejected from the Fields of Reeds?

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Steven Grant's fate was hinted very early within the first episode and then we see him sacrificing himself so that Marc could get to the "Fields of Reeds" which was what the girl meant about being "rejected."

There was a problem fetching the tweet
****ing Yes
I am pretty sure that they will continue with what they had already adapted from the very beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and continue to make progress.

I'm pretty certain that there will be an inevitable new "Avengers" film in the works once the fresh superheroes are more well built and fleshed out just like how the likes of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America etc. who were once considered as "second string" characters that didn't quite reach the heights of popularity in contrast to Spider-Man, the X-Men at the time.

Imagine if they made an El Muerto movie.
I have seen people on social media comparing El Muerto to the Guardians of the Galaxy, Shang-Chi and the Eternals etc. Thing is GoTG, Shang-Chi and the Eternals in which despite their obscurity during the time, they had a lot more comic issues than El Muerto who had only made minor appearances within two comic book issues.

That’s true, but there’s also the benefits of the multiverse being around now. So if they were to do an MCU reboot…they pretty much wouldn’t. Instead it’ll be a neverending story with characters of old and new being swapped around to keep things fresh (ignoring a certain vampire movie)

also…I miss you Steven Grant

Is this actually happening?
Are we finally getting Avatar 2 after waiting for 13 years???
Considering James Cameron has not directed anything in literally 13 years because he's been working on his Avatar saga this whole time I think there's a solid chance it turns out good. Normally a long development time like that bodes poorly but this is James Cameron soooo

So like

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Sega Genesis Classics Workshop just lets you upload and download Genesis ROMs lol.

Take advantage of this while ya can, y'all. We probably ain't seeing anything like this ever again.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is what I consider to be the golden standard of hybrid live action/animated films. Other than having a good story, it set up what's probably the best universe compared to other hybrid films.

Sorry for yet another ping but like

I tested it and yeah, y'all can just plug these ROMs and ROM hacks from Steam into Retro Arch and they play perfectly fine lol.

And the Workshop is literally just like, the whole global library for the Genesis there for grabs, only for a few bucks.

How the heck did this fly under my radar for so long, lol. And how is it legal for Steam/Sega to allow people to provide these, it's just anything and everything that was on the Genesis.

Sega intended for people to ONLY upload romhacks that they created and are for the game they're assigned, IE the only mods you can load for Sonic 1 are supposed to be Sonic 1 romhacks. However, since you have to upload an entire ROM and not a patch file, it's easy to exploit.

They actually do take down ROMs which aren't hacked versions of the game they claim to be hacks for, just not frequently enough.

TBH I just plan on grabbing stuff that doesn't have any modern rerelease, so I'm fine with them taking stuff down that you can buy elsewhere. I just want some of those JP ROMs and abandonware ROMs I can't buy. :nifty:

The funniest thing about the state of the Genesis Classics workshop is that you can unlock achievements by doing entirely different things. I got the "What are buttons?" achievement, which you're supposed to acquire by using magic in Golden Axe while no enemies are on-screen, just by completing Stage 1 of Castlevania Bloodlines.

Hoooo boy was configuring RetroBit's Genesis Controller a pain.

Got it working now, though, so yay.

Pretty impressed with this, for $20 it ain't bad at all. Really happy with how well the controller scene has been doin' lately.:dr^_^:
