Project 06‘s dev‘s PC died.

The project is either on extended hiatus or outright cancelled if no solution can be found. The dev lives in Argentina and they can’t just buy a new PC at the drop of a hat.

That said, I feel an 18+ Smashboards would be a ****ing disaster.

Arguably there is with the Backroom, but it's mostly a place for dad-jokes given the average age of the users there are 30+.

Would be nice if Serious Discussion was a bit more active. I think a forum setting can do a better job of discussion than other forms of social media as it's easier to pick up on nuance. However, I think that most of this site is generally on the same side when it comes to political ideology already and that the lack of anonymity in the forum setting forces people who don't hold a bold view on a subject to come out of their shell. I could complain about Right Wing politics for days, I already do in the Backroom, but lord help me try to explain my views of what I agree/disagree with when it comes to Center-Left and Left Wing politics.

Also I don't see the point of using both Garchomp and Torterra in the same team since Dragon type coverage isn't very useful and Torterra already covers Ground as well as the more useful Grass type

The dev themselves are 100% fine, it's just their PC. Good news is that they're looking into getting a Patreon going, so the project probably will survive.

It's not only that but when you also have people like myself complaining about my local politics or such, I just never see as worthwhile to post on Serious about, least when being the only (well maybe someone else) very active member from my country (you guys know what I mean). So yeah I put it in a spoiler on here then. And only about 5-8 active members here are from the UK/Ireland anyways.

The only solution to that is maybe a non US political rant thread but even then it wouldn't really attract people.

I have no clue what my final team for Brilliant Diamond is gonna look like

Only one I'm currently sure about is Torterra, but I'm thinking Ponyta for Fire coverage (seeing as I have no other choice) and Honchkrow for flying. Not sure about the other types but right now I have these three plus Buizel, Jirachi, and Meditite. That's not a team I want to stick with cause it's super lame

My Shining Pearl team is currently:

Infernape
Roserade
Magnezone
Garchomp
Milotic
Froslass

I've played DPP way too many times over the years so it's hard for me to pick a team of Pokemon that I haven't used before. Only Pokemon I'm reusing are Infernape (because Fire) and Garchomp (just because it works out). I was really hoping to use Spiritomb, but I only found out late just how annoying it is to obtain despite improvements to the Grand Underground.

It's mostly because it was created back during the Melee era. With the exception of there being a politics thread, the best comparison to it would be the Disco Room board that's exclusive for Premium users. That said if you're eager to see current/retired Staff members ****post, that's where you'll find them letting loose.

IDK but I'd be curious to hear ideas as to how that section can be expanded upon as I don't think the invitation-only structure to gain access to the Debate Hall board is doing the site any favors anymore. Is the Debate Hall board still invisible to most users?

I'm starting to get back into my main Corrin after not playing her for two years, and here's what I'm feeling so far
-I can rack up damage real easy, but actually landing the killing blow feels extremely hard for some reason. I guess this is what is called a lack of kill power? It allows them to get a stock and a fair bit on me before I can land it on them
-Neutral special is annoying to land in a 1v1, it's only good as a zoning option for me
-I ****ing love this up special, it is so nice to deal damage and recover with
-**** Dragon Lunge's hitbox
-Why are up and down smashes so low range? Keeps catching me off guard when other guys like Marth and Bowser have more range and higher damage.

Overall, Corrin feels really weak on damage and is easy to interrupt, so I need to practice to get around that. Picking someone up after two years ain't easy.
