Tbh the criticism is pretty fair, especially before the patch that added in the rest of the game, but idk why people thought the game was gonna be total ass, even if it were 1:1 it would still be at least decent because D&P aren't bad. At most I understand some letdowns and dissappointments, but that doesn't mean that it sucks, but it's just not what you were looking for.

I liked the art style before it was cool, I have Reddit comments from the reveal to prove it.
They actually do have an end goal and a progressive story, it's just not the super serious isekai you're used to.
I get it was supposed to be a parody isekai, but it came more across to me as a generic isekai with unfunny jokes thrown in. I wasn't a fan of any of the characters, and even found them annoying at times.

I understand the want for options, I think the option should be there.

EXP gaining was suffering in the OG DP, and by the looks of it, it's still difficult even if you're a few levels over. So EXP Share is actually balanced perfectly in this game.
Not even lying, HGSS would've been so much better if it had EXP Share, especially in post game where everyone is overleveled as **** and you have to grind
