My og theory is that Deltarune takes place in a world Chara rebuilt after you destroy everything in the genocide run and give Chara the soul. It’s why the monsters are on the surface, why your friends from Undertale are present, why Asriel is alive, etc. it’s the world Chara wants.

Now that’s just a theory. And it doesn’t line up with everything we’ve seen. But if I’m proven right in some way, I’m gonna scream dude.

Yeah, but if that's true, then that mean that the Geno ending is canon, and it kinda goes against Undertale existence as a whole.

Now it could why Toby decided to go with this, since DR seem to be the exact opposite of UT in many ways, but idk, still feel just wrong to me.

That and Gaster is still involve into all this mess, and now we add the demon child who in canon we still know so little about? (No, all the fanon the fanbases made doesn't count, and the Charannator theory as a hole I think due to the Japanese text not being similar to the way Chara speak in the geno ending)

I need to see more tbh, it's too early to make judgement call atm.

Honestly, the fact that Legends Arceus's biggest issue are the visuals is good.

Unfortunately, SwSh discourse made it seem like the visuals are what made it so medieocre, ruined Pokemon discourse for good.

Pokémon fans made two mistakes when it came to SwSh discourse.

They hyper focused on graphics: Yes graphics are important. And they can definitely be criticized, especially when animations were given as one of the reasons for the dex cut. But the way the fanbase ranted on and on about weird **** like the goddamn tree really screwed things up.

And mistake number 2: They got way too toxic. This goes both for defenders and critics. The discussion was such a mess at the time, man. And it still kinda is.

Anyway, Legends’ graphics could definitely be better. But the rest looks rad and I’m super hype for it.

Bit late to the Pokemon discussion, but honestly, Pokemon was never exactly known for stellar graphics, so I'm not gonna hold it to the expectation of having stellar graphics. They look dated, but ultimately, I value the quality of the game overall more. Though if the graphics do rub ya in the wrong direction, then that's totally understandable too! I just hope folks don't **** on Sw/Sh in the future when I say I like it, haha. As flawed as it is, it did a lot of things I really liked.

Honestly, while SwSh struggles graphically in some areas like the Wild Area, it absolutely soars in others like Ballonlea. Like it or not, that's one of the most beautiful environments in any game I've played on the Switch.

To be fair, in the Genocide ending they speak in a very creepy, formal way, which they may not have done while still alive/not guided to be power hungry. They're also implied to be the narrator through the Genocide route at least due to text like "It's me, Chara," and some pacifist/neutral run text sounds like it'd be their view/opinion i.e. the description of their bed suggesting if you lie down you may never get up, and laughing at Snowdrake's Mother though Frisk not actually laughing, but of course maybe it's misdirection idk.

Also, your theory earlier sounded really good.

So much ****ing details and it's only two chapters.

If I go back on my theory, the "game" us the player & Gaster are playing is definitly causing the peoples that are aware wanting to be free of it too. If they aren't insane enough to think they're already free.

Still won't give a conclusion cuz we need some more details, but yeah, this story is dripping with meaning & themes.

Honestly i'm too tired to check up lol. Chara is just hard to pin down at this point of time due to the fact we know so little about them in a way, yet there's so much theories & fanon about them. I don't think you see me talk about them until something big is reveal in later DR chapters.
