I really don't care much about these "best games ever" lists as they tend to be really subjective and the concept of the best game ever played really varies from person to person as not everyone plays or may not even be able to afford the same games.

Also, why is League there?

SF2 may have been revolutionary for its genre but it's THE reason I don't play traditional fighting games, I just can't stand that control scheme and for the longest time I thought every fighting game was like this

Do you think it'd be possible to Nuzlocke the SSE in Brawl? Perhaps on Dolphin to make following the rules easier with some tweaks to gameplay?

Almost every traditional fighter nowadays srill has the same control scheme and command inputs, it's just that they streamlined it so that it's more responsive and lenient that SF2, thus making them much better games overall.

I feel It could be possible, yeah.

I guess It would be similar to WoL Nuzlockes except that you don't have as much control on which characters to use in each level.

That's why I was thinking of doing it on Dolphin: You can manipulate who you're playing in SSE that way.

It'd add a layer of customizability and give more rule options.

Honestly these lists and all were cool as a kid or like up to around 18 years old to look at. Then you realise that it shouldn't really matter that much to you in that.

Granted there are some games I think people should always have on their lists to play but never like "the best games of all time thing" if that makes sense.

I have about 10 games I think a lot of people should try no matter what but if they don't they don't.

I just saw a Smash Bros most wanted characters tier list on Discord where they legit put a ranking called "enough of these franchises" filled for the most part with Mario characters and another tier called "useless" where they have Layton... And then they put in "must have" Geno and Phoenix Wright.

The thing with Phoenix Wright is that you can't make a list where you put Layton on a cathegory called "useless" while claiming Phoenix Wright is a must have.

When at least as far as I know, Layton is in regards to the lore of the games a better fighter in general than Wright.
He literally can make machine guns out of casino machinery and is a skilled swordfighter.

BTW I'm totally addicted to Shiny hunting in Lets Go Eevee. I've never felt so good about shiny hunting before. Just got a Shiny Ponyta, and she's a beaut'.

I see no same level of love or outcry for any other character from Mario RPGs. Heck, Paper Mario fans have been vocal as heck for the last decade yet in Smash bubble almost no one cares about it. It's all SMRPG and Geno. Heck, hardly anyone cares about Mallow either, just Geno.

Haven't even played a Layton game and I think he'd be rad, so nah, that take is kinda wack.

Yeah, I agree.

It's just that I saw the thread seemingly taking problem with me saying that Layton is as valid of a choice as Wright and was like "no way..."

Same, honestly. Like, I ain't gonna put down anyone who wants Geno, but for me personally I just always saw more interesting moveset potential with Paper Mario.

Shiny Ponyta was actually my first shiny as a kid! Caught it in Fire Red before I realized what shinies even were. I just knew it was special.
