You know, I'm gonna sound like a baby here, but damn how did y'all survive without the internet?
That is used for damn near everything now, I mean my gen was pretty much the first one to grow up with the internet being a major factor in development to the point where I can't imagine life without it.
TV and video rentals for the most part. Classic Nickelodeon, Fox Kids, Kids WB, One Saturday Morning, and if your parents had money for cable: Cartoon Network. I remember being allowed one Blockbuster rental every two weeks or being allowed to rent one VHS tape from the library every week.
I only got my first game system (GBA) just a few months before I turned 9 years old. Mixed in I remember playing a lot with Legos, library books, playing with anything non-VG related to Pokemon, being partially forced into weekly soccer/T-Ball leagues, Saturday morning swimming lessons, church groups, etc. Both of my parents worked, so I was babysat/after school programs until I turned 13.
Prior to all of that I remember early typing classes in 1st Grade, but the internet was much more of an adult thing until I discovered Serebii.net and PokemonElite2000 in 2004. It blew my mind to learn about things like Pokemon Emerald, Deoxys, and that Diamond/Pearl had been announced (but wouldn't be out for two years). It was so cool to brag to my friends about all these cool things that got announced months in advance in Japan, complain about Event Pokemon being NY/LA only, or talk about cheat codes for games we had/hadn't beaten.
Social media with the advent of MySpace and Facebook were the wild west and my school spent a lot of money on programs to try and teach us about disclosing information and scaring us by having us watch episodes of Dateline. There's a reason why my Username is a amazingly bad as it is.
Beyond that it wasn't until 2008 that my older brother was able to figure out how to hook our Wii up to the internet and 2011 before we got a Wi-Fi router. I didn't get my first phone until I graduated High School and didn't get my first smart phone until 2016.
To be honest, I think I got a lot more done prior to the internet boom as a whole.
