Man, I cannot wait for Saturday to get here, because I’m going to be going to my locals and doing a Yugioh tournament for the first time in how long now?
I still need to finish my side deck for my Heros, and maybe change a few cards for some spicy techs, but otherwise I have a decent deck that I can hopefully top with. It helps that the variant I’m playing(no cool nickname, just all of the good hero monsters in one deck) will pretty much always get support, hell, the new D-hero stuff is almost 100% an instant include.
The main problem with the deck is that I don’t really make any negates, but I can’t really do anything about that because the main combo line (Vision Hero Faris discards a Hero to summon itself, places Vision Hero Increase into the Spell/Trap zone directly from the deck, Tribute Faris to summon Increase from S/T and V-Hero Vyon from deck, sending D-Hero Malicious for Vyon’s effect, using the two monsters on the board to Link Summon Xtra Hero Cross Crusader, who then summons the Malicious from the graveyard and tributes him to search for any Hero I need, leading to a few different paths depending on what is in my hand.) locks me into Hero monsters, and their pool of extra deck monsters is less than stellar. The only ones that I might consider putting into the deck are the Omni Heros(Elemental Hero fusions of each attribute that require one E-Hero and one monster of it’s attribute to summon) but even then they’re just situational Super Polymerization targets that might not even be live half of the time, because I rarely leave an Elemental Hero on the board at the end of my turn. At least, not one that I would want to use as a target.
