people need to realise that nintendo is anti-consumer. they're trying to squeeze every penny out of fans that they can, and this skyward sword amiibo **** isn't even the most egregious case of that practice. i love nintendo, but they've always pulled stuff like this.

it’s funny, Amiibos are still going long after the other big toys to life games died out.

Although, that’s probably because Amiibos don’t have the same issue toys to life has of being worthless junk if you’re not specifically playing the game they’re designed for, because of how Amiibos are implemented as just cute bonuses for games.


You could make an argument for Lego Dimensions being better in this regard because they’re, yknow, legos, and all you need is the actual base piece, but I doubt most people chucked the parts into their bins, and wanted to keep the models to look as good as possible.

Eh it's better then microtransactions.

I agree that this feature is something that shouldn't be locked behind an amiibo, but I think from Nintendo's perspective it's a non-essential feature for players because it wasn't in the original game. It's more of a convenience then anything else.

I'm not defending it, but it is a really little thing for fans to be getting mad over.

Kinda crappy last night although my day was good yesterday. Comes from my aching muscles from having been doing kayaking and having had to carry groceries back home. Intended to take a half hour nap, eventually woke up around 12 getting that feeling so decided to go to bed afterward.

I still wish we could get my dream lineup of programming. A Superman show on Sunday, a Batman show on Monday, Wonder Woman on Teusday, Flash on Wednesday, Green Lantern on Thursday, Aquaman on Friday, and Martian Manhunter on Saturday. With yearly “Justice League” crossover events. Basically the Arrowverse but good and animated.

As I the only one who thinks all this online drama focus on Hades and Persephone is a little creepy? Like in the original story Persephone was a kidnapped child forced into marriage who can only be let out of the house at certain times during the year and her mother is so upset about this that Winter exists! Not to mention some telling a involving Zeus promising his child niece to his BROTHER for marriage which is why he doesn’t just ***** slap Hades and take Kore back. Oh yeah. That’s right. He takes away her name too! Turning this into steamy consensual anime romance just seams a little sick to me.
