Speaking of Miles Morales...

I don't know if this is an actual thing included in the game or just a bizarre glitch, but damn if it ain't amazing regardless.

Spider-Cat and Spider-Lamp...GOTY by default

He's an afro-latono Spiderman, which resonates much better with a different demographic than Peter, and his movie was dope as ****.

That's why he's super popular.

and can be used for the younger folk overall to make up for Peter being allowed to grow up

I guess that's why I don't get him. Because I'm not part of that demographic so he doesn't really jive with me, at least not more then Peter does. And I thought Spider-Verse was super overrated. Like... I don't even wanna get into it.

But.. cool. I guess. Now I know why he's popular. I just... don't agree.

Miles the Messiah

I'm still personally a bigger fan of Peter Parker as Spider-Man but I grew quite fond of Miles after watching Into the Spider-verse.

I prefer Peter as well, but I would refuse to ever put Miles down. He's got the mantle role perfected

Maybe not the initial Bendis run of the character cuz Bendis couldn’t make this character more than just a carbon copy of Peter and mostly everything unique about this version got adapted into MCU Peter.

I haven’t caught up with many of Miles’s comics after Bendis I feel like Spiderverse was the first great rendition of the character.

Ultimate Spider-Man also had him rely on the Avengers...Shield way way way more of course...then as time went by he went on to become his own hero (just needed to adjust to it fully first). I still think the MCU is taking him down that similar path (and for the best based on what we've got for Homeo and Juliet)

Spiderverse Miles is unique, but I think the original incarnation is a good start to understand why people like him. I like Bendis' run, but I'm also the guy who really enjoyed Superior Spider-Man but what do I know?

Bendis made Miles popular enough to be a main character in Secret Wars (2015) and got him moved to 616, so it makes sense to like it. He also currently still has the best stories for Miles, but other writers have managed to add more character to him

and also ****ed Peter's life up some more...which ended up being a factor in his current comic run

Honestly that's kind of why I don't entirely vibe with MCU Spidey. Tom Holland's a great actor and the character's likeable but he doesn't quite feel like Spiderman when most of his stuff's from Tony and how much he worships Tony to the point Uncle Ben got replaced by Tony as Spidey's big motivator. Then again that's me and I may be petty as I really think Iron Man 3 should have been the character's final send off

tbf Nick Fury has taken the Uncle Ben role as well in the Ultimate comics+show, and it ended with Peter evolving as his own top tier hero. MCU probably taking that route...plus an extra death...as for the Iron Man send off, I'm glad he got to end his run in Endgame, since it was the overall finale for the Infinity Saga (that and Tony needed to be fully broken to start feeling happiness again)

I think that’s also kind of a product of MCU Spidey borrowing so much from comic Miles. Miles was a lot more dependent on the Avengers than Peter ever was and also didn’t have the tragic uncle death INITIALLY.

at this rate MCU Peter will take everything from all the male Spiders...maybe even steal something from Ghost-Spider (unless she gets put in the MCU)

Also can I just say how much I loved what they did with Aaron Davis in Spiderverse opposed to the comic version? The video I shared goes into that too.

It took until Spiderverse for me to like him, but yeah I resonated with his passion for creativity and feeling pressured by my folks to be smart instead at first. I loved seeing his personal growth and how his journey ties in with the messages of the film.

Aaron has definitely been getting improvements over the years

I question the speed at which these show up tbh; understandable if they rip them from the game itself and they can’t do each at once for some reason, but the Smash Wiki already has them readily available. Of course, it’s also perfectly fine if they have some life stuff going on, I guess it just feels weird since Sans came in a day or two.

I swear, people always create as many dumb complaints as possible when the character is LGBTQ+ or BIPOC. When the character isn't LGBTQ+ or BIPOC, you receive little to no complaints from these people. Even when many people point out that the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC character has an amazing personality, people are still going to cover their ears and claim that the character was "forced" in for "representation" or whatever, and that the corporations are appealing to "leftist" propaganda. I am tired of hearing from these chuds.

Despite this, yes. I think Miles was really cool! Into the Spider-Verse is my favorite Spider-Man movie.

My copy of Shantae and the Seven Sirens should be arriving at some point tomorrow so I think I'll play Half Genie Hero again in the meantime. Haven't tried out Hardcore mode yet and I'm curious to see if it's actually a substantial increase in difficulty compared to the breeze that was a standard playthrough.

Of course, my previous post barely got put here and I beated the final boss & Hard Mode that fast.

Now, while I did use yellow orbs on Mundus second phase, which some say is more or less cheap, I did beat his first phase on my first try!

Thanks to knowing that using d-pad so that I didn't have inverted control & knowing vortex exist, but still! That's a game changer!

Maybe DMD Mundus phase 1 won't be the nightmare I thought it be....instead it be his phase 2.

I got all the blue orbs & purple orbs, sooooo hopefully I be able to survive DMD. ;_;

I find that weird because the MCU's teased Miles so I'm wondering what they'll do to make them differentiate, Ned's even taken Ganke's role of Spidey's best friend so that's another character that'd need to be changed

Miles can just be the same character he is in the Ultimate and 2017 shows...minus having friends beyond 2 females who have yet to be in the MCU

I've been replaying Terraria! I'm trying to do a mix of Yo-Yos, summoning items, and some ranged weapons...on the newish Master Mode they added, which is a step up from Expert. I have no idea how I'm going to beat Eye of Cthulu, let alone later game bosses.
