Nothing. I just never saw the hype with Miles. I was more so talking about the general gameplay style of the two Spider-Man titles thus far. Especially with a great studio like Insomniac behind it. But whatevs. Maybe my tude will change after I actually play the first one (which I do now own).Man, I just want Miles to be the protagonist of his own game, what's wrong with that?
He's an afro-latono Spiderman, which resonates much better with a different demographic than Peter, and his movie was dope as ****.Nothing. I just never saw the hype with Miles. I guess that's why I don't get him. Because I'm not part of that demographic so he doesn't really jive with me, at least not more then Peter does. And I thought Spider-Verse was super overrated. Like... I don't even wanna get into it.He's an afro-latono Spiderman, which resonates much better with a different demographic than Peter, and his movie was dope as ****.
That's why he's super popular.
About ****ing time, almost been a month. Terry all over again. How long has the Steve icon been here?
If you want to like Miles, perhaps what you need instead of a game that just has him, is to read where he actually came from.I guess that's why I don't get him. But.. cool. I guess. Now I know why he's popular. I just... don't agree.
Not to mention his skillset being more varied and interesting than the original Spider Man.He's an afro-latono Spiderman, which resonates much better with a different demographic than Peter, and his movie was dope as ****.

HI GUYS, I'm !How long has the Steve icon been here?
Especially if you know the reason why he became Spider-Man.Not to mention his skillset being more varied and interesting than the original Spider Man.
Also, I'm a sucker for kid heroes done well and Miles fills that role better for me than Peter.
Maybe not the initial Bendis run of the character cuz Bendis couldn’t make this character more than just a carbon copy of Peter and mostly everything unique about this version got adapted into MCU Peter. If you want to like Miles, perhaps what you need instead of a game that just has him, is to read where he actually came from.

Spiderverse Miles is unique, but I think the original incarnation is a good start to understand why people like him. I like Bendis' run, but I'm also the guy who really enjoyed Superior Spider-Man but what do I know?Maybe not the initial Bendis run of the character cuz Bendis couldn’t make this character more than just a carbon copy of Peter and mostly everything unique about this version got adapted into MCU Peter.
I haven’t caught up with many of Miles’s comics after Bendis I feel like Spiderverse was the first great rendition of the character.
...might wanna change your wording, Snake. I don't think this is how you meant it, but this kinda comes off as a little racist.Man. Forgot about this.... thing.... existing. Let’s hope the hope translates into the game space soon.
Not gonna lie the only reason he is popular is because Puerto Ricans never NEVER get anything in media. He's an afro-latono Spiderman, which resonates much better with a different demographic than Peter, and his movie was dope as ****.
That's why he's super popular.
I mean I resonated with Miles as a character in Spiderverse, because I related a lot to his personal struggles and his artistic drive. He's an afro-latono Spiderman, which resonates much better with a different demographic than Peter, and his movie was dope as ****.
That's why he's super popular.
I’m not gonna harp too much on fans of that run, I just feel like Bendis didn’t really know what to do with the character and just settled on creating another Peter Parker and Spiderverse gave him more character. I think this video summarizes my thoughts on why I enjoyed Spiderverse Miles over his comic counterpart:Spiderverse Miles is unique, but I think the original incarnation is a good start to understand why people like him. Peter would be better if they'd actually let him grow up instead of constantly finding a way to hit resetNot to mention his skillset being more varied and interesting than the original Spider Man.

You can thank Joe Quasada for thatPeter would be better if they'd actually let him grow up instead of constantly finding a way to hit reset
Which was why the PS4 Spider-Man was actually interesting to me.Peter would be better if they'd actually let him grow up instead of constantly finding a way to hit reset
Honestly that's kind of why I don't entirely vibe with MCU Spidey. Tom Holland's a great actor and the character's likeable but he doesn't quite feel like Spiderman when most of his stuff's from Tony and how much he worships Tony to the point Uncle Ben got replaced by Tony as Spidey's big motivator. Then again that's me and I may be petty as I really think Iron Man 3 should have been the character's final send offThe thing is about Spiderman is that anyone can don the mask. Peter and Miles were just average kids in New York that got roped up into something they didn't want to do. That's kinda why Spiderman resonates with so many, because you don't have to be a super soldier or some tech giant billionare or some super spy to be a hero, you can just be an ordinary guy who dons the mask.
Oh oops! That’s super embarrassing. I didn’t mean that....might wanna change your wording, Snake. I don't think this is how you meant it, but this kinda comes off as a little racist.
I think that’s also kind of a product of MCU Spidey borrowing so much from comic Miles. Miles was a lot more dependent on the Avengers than Peter ever was and also didn’t have the tragic uncle death INITIALLY.Honestly that's kind of why I don't entirely vibe with MCU Spidey. I find that weird because the MCU's teased Miles so I'm wondering what they'll do to make them differentiate, Ned's even taken Ganke's role of Spidey's best friend so that's another character that'd need to be changedI think that’s also kind of a product of MCU Spidey borrowing so much from comic Miles. Your like the first person I've ever seen who likes Miles for more than just his race. I like you.I mean I resonated with Miles as a character in Spiderverse, because I related a lot to his personal struggles and his artistic drive.

Well I'm another one then. From Spider-Verse I really enjoyed him far more than any of the live-action Peter Parker's. He seemed pretty vibrant personality wise and the animation style of the film really helped pushed it for the better.Your like the first person I've ever seen who likes Miles for more than just his race. I like you.
It took until Spiderverse for me to like him, but yeah I resonated with his passion for creativity and feeling pressured by my folks to be smart instead at first. I loved seeing his personal growth and how his journey ties in with the messages of the film.Your like the first person I've ever seen who likes Miles for more than just his race. I like you.
And who got bit by a radioactive spider. The thing is about Spiderman is that anyone can don the mask.
