Great news everyone. I may have found a new venue for major tournaments.

I work at a market research facility in the medical center. They have many rooms in the downstairs which they use to hold focus groups. The largest room runs 600 to 700 dollars and has twice the space of Gamelot's lan center. There is also a very well furnished kitchen so if we decide to cook up pizza or burgers, we can do that (and also help make back the rent).

I talked with the big man in charge, and he says the idea is quite good. He still needs to work it out with others, but it looks hopeful.

Finally, with the connections this place has, there's a chance we could have sponsership.

I STILL need that one copy of Brawl, and I'm posting this here, and on the Steakfest thread because no one save for Suspect and Niddo have even bothered to reply to anything back in the SA Group for almost an entire week.

This small community is going under if we can't even stay in contact to arrange things like this. C'mon San Antonio, no johns.

About HOBO19, we absolutely NEED to find housing/hotels, and NOW. Smoom isn't going to be able to house us after all, but DugFinn and Seiya are still possibilities.

If not, I wouldn't mind getting a hotel, of course.

Exactly how much money are we talking about here?
Arturito and Duffman have said that they are interested in joining up with others in a hotel deal. If we go with the hotel idea, that'll make the hotel cost less for everyone.

More people in the room, yes, but I'm content with just a room. I'll sleep on the floor or whatever.

I'd still rather check up on housing before we get any hotel ideas settled, though.

We can choose from the Aloft (one we stayed at last time) around $57.00 a night

Four points down town about the same price as Aloft

Westin Galeria (right by the Galleria mall about $83.00 a night

If everybody does not mind splitting the cost of a room then we can do the hotel.

I would prefer to stay at the Aloft because it is really nice, inexpensive, and has two queen beds plus a sleepable sofa.

I will need to know who is willing to pitch in for the room though
