Important The Ridley for SSB4 Thread - End of an Era

So, if he would just say "ridley" during this direct before/after yellow devil part of it without showing him, they would consider it deconfirmation too, huh?

Yeah, he is fun to play as, he is the most awesome tree i ever saw and his ex burst looks cool, but unfortunately isn`t always one-hit KO. And i can imagine him singing something while walking at the speed of a tree. Also, i heard him saying "TURTLE!" at least once during ex burst and was kinda surprized by it.

...and back to Ridley - i found something:

In FFV, at some point in the game, Exdeath engages in an epic wizard battle with the ancient sage Ghido, and just barely wins.

Ghido also happened to be a turtle.

Yeah, its a weird game, but its one of my favorites in the series.

So I've been watching some clips of Metroid Zero Mission, and I thought to myself that Tourian would've made a pretty good Metroid stage for this game.

In the background, shrouded in shadows, is the massive organic Mother Brain looking down at the Smash fighters on the stage. Stage hazards include Rinka, mechanical turrents and Mother Brain herself. She would use the "Laser Brain Attack" that was seen in Super Metroid, charging it for use for the first minute of fighting. To let players know who she is intending to KO, a cross-hair would appear on the screen and follow whoever is closest to her range of fire. The attack has huge knockback, and could even KO someone with a low percentage.

I know it's off-topic for a Ridley thread, but I just wanted to bring up what I thought would be cool.

That's a cool idea, the only problem is that Mother Brain(thanks to Other M, I can't say MB anymore) already is an Assist Trophy, unless she is one of the Wii U exclusives I don't think we'll get a Zero Mission stage like that.

And what are you guys talking about, we are getting a Metroid newcomer!

That's a cool idea, the only problem is that Mother Brain(thanks to Other M, I can't say MB anymore) already is an Assist Trophy, unless she is one of the Wii U exclusives I don't think we'll get a Zero Mission stage like that.

What an amazing twist that would have been if Samus in SSB4 was revealed as the SA-X the whole time by turning into this thing as her Final Smash.

Anyhow, since SA-X is basically Samus, unless it pulls out its Thing-like form, I doubt that SA-X will get any representation outside forcing Samus into two completely different people.

Its not an antagonist. Its just like Pyramide Head from those Silent Hill games, but with more potential and f***load more powerful. And X-parasites has no mind or soul or even personality as far as i know.

Because Gandrayda has electric effects/properties on every attack even those that are done while she is transformed into someone (Rundas` ice attacks for example)

SA-X I dislike totally independently from Fusion. SA-X is literally nothing but an X parasite imitating Samus. In my opinion, Dark Samus just makes SA-X look REALLY lame in comparison.

But neither does Dark Samus has personality other than trying to corrupt everything. I still agree that it is better than SA-X since it just looks like Samus`s Light Suit (not just like Samus, IT is the suit and has nothing inside other than maybe internal organs or bones)...and more bada$$.

I don't know, the weird jerky motions of his shadow aren't something a boss would do. But a playable character might.

But they all lived and died on that one ship and didn't really do anything other than look lime Samus and try (and fail) oh so hard at being "mega sooper dooper spoopy".

Well, at least the SA-X did it's job of giving you the creeps during the entire game, at least during the first playthrough, since you never knew when it was going to appear and try to murder you.

I swear, those ****ing footsteps, man. Even to this day, they don't fail to freak me out.

Yeah, now i also think it (even if it is SHE in-universe, i will call it IT) had better concept and more unique. Looking like Samus` light suit (or just power fuit before it got stabilized) was least important part of it and wasn`t discussed that much in-universe.
And yeah, it went all over One-Winged Angel, but in more realistic way since one wing would do nothing other than harm its owner if flapped with enough force, so, im looking at you, Sephiroth, Genesis and all of those "guys" who had single wing on their backs ("guys" because they don`t look like guys to be honest...). It made that battle even easier. But if it would be able to use those guns, then it would be better.
BUT SA-X is kinda creepy if you think about it in a certain way. Its so weak because it failed to utilize all of her weapons in right way. Dark Samus wasn`t really creepy other than when it

absorbed all of those hunters and basicly tried to spread space cancer. And if Samus gets terminaly corrupted, then, instead of just getting under DS` control, she TURNS INTO HER. Maybe its not literally, but still its kinda creepy if she really does transforms into 2nd Dark Samus. It would be cool to play as Dark Samus Samus still, but meh, not going to happen.

On the subject of leviathan guardians, Gorea is kind of creepy though. You know, I wish Ridley was in Prime Hunters. Instead f uh. Fighting two bosses a total of eight times through the entire game.

Wow, I'm actually shocked on this finding. So I downloaded the E3 trailer and even slowed down the frame rate with the volume turned up on my headphones, and yes, you can hear Ridley's name whispered when the Metroid clip shows up. I want to congratulate the people that caught this, and Ridley's chances have gone way up. I will admit that this finding is a little spooky, but awesome.

Sequel to the game has two styles of Samus to choose from; Classic Samus (SA-X) and Fusion Samus (...Samus).

(Yeah, I know SA-X only helped Samus out of coincidence that the Omega Metroid was a bigger threat, but still.)

Phaaze is implied to be the result of a leviathan from Phaaze, which arrived in the alimbic cluster and destroyed everything before it was sealed away. I take the implication all the way, since if Gorea isn't a leviathan seed as it is implied to be, Prime Hunters has nothing at all to do with the prime trilogy.

And it's possible that the seed, or the source of the phazon, simply was somewhere else not visited or something, and Gorea was unable to produce phazon in the Oubliette. I dunno.

From looking at that size comparison earlier, I would be surprised if it were actually accurate.
