I find it really amusing that people are doing the thing people do to the Prime games again. OMHM aside, yeah it's obvious, Roidley and Ridley X are the clone of Ridley and not the original Ridley and not the exact same being. Genetically similar, but probably genetically modified and heavily accelerated in the aging department. Science and stupidity combine in wonderful ways sometimes.

If I could rewrite Other M, I would rewrite a TON of things.

But one of the things I would rewrite would be the Ridley subplot. His baby appearance would look like a miniaturized version of his adult form, he would have no memories whatsoever, and Samus's attempts to re-kill him would only serve to plant the seeds of his fear and hatred of Samus.

Though I would've liked a miniaturized version of Ridley better than Little Birdie in hindsight, it would've killed any element of surprise that there was with Ridley being cloned before progressing later in the game, and I prefer said clone retaining its memories of Samus, or at least like to think that Other Ridley had memories of her... And I don't like the idea of trying to hunt down an infant miniaturized Ridley that has no memories of you (who thus would not attack you). Would feel kinda cruel to me and would arguably make Samus no better than Ridley morally, or would've hardly been any different than if Samus had just outright killed the last Metroid on SR388 then and there instead of adopting it.

I dunno. Maybe your idea would work well if said Ridley clone doesn't get offed by a Metroid Queen later on while weakened because if that's not something you would change too, then a cloned Ridley's developed fear/hatred of Samus would only have been short-lived at best.

The idea was partially to reintroduce and salvage the PTSD that she suffered in Other M. Instead of cowering like a scared little girl, Samus tries to straight-up murder the cause of her trauma. Only after realizing that the clone holds no memories of her does she make the connection to Ridley's first meeting with her, that she's no better than he was, his murder spree is partially her fault, etc.

And, yeah, that Metroid consumption would probably need to be implemented somehow. Maybe have the Metroids swarm Ridley right after their final battle before Samus's eyes, and have Samus shoot off the Metroids just as he dies from being drained. He'd still be a frozen husk in Fusion, and because Samus stopped the Metroids from draining him completely, he doesn't crumble into dust.

Thinking of a design of a Ridley costume is difficult, because I didn't want to take the simple "Rosalina in a costume" route, and took it to be more of a costume in the form of an actual outfit. And before you ask, no, that is NOT Ridley's head impaled on her head...that's a hat, hence the price tag...I want a Ridley hat...God, I sound like a TF2 player.

While I tried to keep the design mainly Super Metroid Ridley, I did include a couple of design hints from SchAlternate's Ridley rendition.

One one hand, with exception of the hands, that's pretty well drawn.

On the other hand, its Rosalina doing a sexy cosplay of Ridley.

I'll give it 5/5 wuts.

Hands are a harsh mistress and are, in my opinion, THE hardest thing to draw. But thank you, I appreciate the feedback. :3

xD but it melts every day and later it gets solidified....to later melt again..... and it looks like chocolate.....
