chrom wasent requested that much just expected because NewLordBlueHairSwordsman.... one thing i have to admit about this whole smash build up in general -not just Ridley related- is how creepy it is how much fangasm things have come through ..how close is Sakurai listening/watching us? stand alone charizrd? mega lucario? a FE char that actually does other stuff other than sword - why Takamaru had to be stated not playable? (ofc yes he is a AT but im sure not everysingle AT was quoted to not be playable even though we all know if something is a AT its not playable) Skull kid-Waluigi-Brittany-Takamaru were stated right? coincidence? and what boggles my mind is how apparently all chars were chosen before or right at the start of development?¿¿¿ WAAAA WuHHH? is this guy Psychic? (Drowzee confirmed xD how can this be planned like THaT? Expecially Robin instead of chrom (Gematsu aside..) is what just makes this all Lavender Town creepy....because lets all be honest Pre Gematsu and everything they were only ever 3 Real Shoe-ins - Mac\Palutena/Chrom lmao half the PeePz were getting pissed at the excessive talk & support of the BiG 3 who were supposdly Shoe-ins by the way....Eh YaH....i dont see no Ridley/Mewtwo/K.Rool down here & when Gematsu was at its peak PeePz were Riding it bareback but now its apparently fake (~_~) PeePz are happy? i thought everyone wanted Shulk? or is the whole point is to pick a side if a leak is legit or not sit back & wait and hope you are right so you win.....ofc it doesnt matter whats in the context of the leak...as long as your right its cool.

Personally, i like Sylux better. But i agree Ridley is the most deserving Metroid newcomer.

This is the first time I'm seeing Sylux embraced by anyone other than me... It's quite impressive! I think Sylux would be an amazing choice as a third (fourth? are we counting ZSS?) Metroid rep, but after Ridley. I feel like Ridley has more of a chance, but Sylux could get in there if they use him as some sort of promotion for Metroid U (if they use him, I think that'd be interesting).

He's one of my favorites too, and I also want a Prime Hunters stage in the 3DS Version. But Ridley does represent Metroid better for Smash, I agree. I feel like I just restated what my post said...

You say we have reason and logic, but the argument I was trying to make is that the only reason and logic you were using for DLC is that fans would want it. As I've clearly demonstrated over the last few posts, fans wanting something doesn't necessarily mean anything. That means it isn't a logical argument, so you can't use it to support there being DLC. Which means we have no reason whatsoever to believe there will be DLC.

I'm not trying to say DLC will be impossible. Just that there's nothing pointing to it so far, and one or two things pointing away from it.

There is absolutely nothing pointing away from it and no comments from the devs pointing towards it, but its common sense from a business perspective and there is a statistic that gamers like DLC. A statistic that various gaming companies have tried to exploit in the past with on disk DLC.

So yes, fans do or will want it when the game releases and that is not a wrong assumption, and with it the big next gen console would be madness not to utilize it as there will be obvious demand. I'm even sure that when the game releases the forums will probably be flooded with DLC requests, It was the same for UMVC3.

Also the Wii was consider to be a toy by some of the nintendo devs, there was not serious support for it but now we have the wii u and a lot more is possible. They couldn't do DLC before and now they can.

What is it with you people? Saying no plans doesn't exempt it from it happening, I thought it was insinuated well enough in my last post. And he didn't say there would be no plans, he said that there is currently no plans but when the game releases who knows?

The Wii U is really the first Nintendo Console to fully support DLC, I think. The Wii could do a bit, but that's one of the reasons the Wii U is revolutionary.

Personally, i like Sylux better. But i agree Ridley is the most deserving Metroid newcomer.

While I def prefer Ridley over Sylux, Sylux character was by far the most interesting from the hunters lore. and actually I would love to see Sylux on another metroid game.

Regarding Metroid lore stuff i would love to see in the next metroid game:
-Sylux returning, posible as a constant hazard with gameplay implications, instead of a boss battle (I think that samus is far more powerful than Sylux on a straight 1v1 arena, but sylux isn't as stupid to face samus on a straight arena, Look how rundas ended )
-Anthony Higgs returning as a NPC comrade. mostly giving samus a little of human socialization before entering at full into the desolate wilderness of metroid.
-A Chozo character . In Prime I loved reading the logs, including Chozo ones. i'm not sure if this character should be a lone survivor, or be already dead, since I kinda like that Samus carries the burden of an exctint race. but having at least an aparition as a ghost. I really love Chozo designs.

In fact i'm not completly sure if i want space pirates or even Ridley, unless it's pretty well written into the story. you know, poor guys shouldn't be overused. and we don't want Ridley to turn into the series anime team rocket.

Welcome to my world, tried getting them to stop, but it's pretty much seems like arguing with a stuck record that has feelings, so I have to take what they say as nothing more than a opinion even if it does derail the chat.

You would think they would have taken the DLC topic to another thread, or at least wait till the game's are out in all regions, but nope.

Yes, I was aware that the games took material from the manga to implement in the games but played it out differently, this isn't confirmation that it is canon though and happens to other series such as sonic with its comics and what not.

Now before you try to bash me on the petition idea hear me out, I have had personal success with the petition method when it came to a sonic sega racing, our petition asked for them to put NiGHTS from NiGHTS into dreams into they game and they officially responded to us saying it was to late, but made nights the person who signals the races and waves the flag, and it was because of our petition!
