There was hardly an explanation. You gave us a pixelated mess and said "if you squint your eyes and wish on a star it might be Ridley!"

You're as stubborn as Ridley.Just so you know, the power MS Paint is what caused it to be a pixaltated mess. I was not going to go into any advanced software when people are calling my crap BS and JUST cause they say so means they are right, so if you are honestly interested in it, go zoom in on it correctly you self.
If that is the way you feel, why did you even bother bringing it up? Perhaps if you enhanced it correctly, people would not "call your crap BS." But that is just a theory.Just so you know, the power MS Paint is what caused it to be a pixaltated mess. No, it actually is Roy`s blue palette swapI thought that the pixelated mess was Charizard's blue palette swap.
Thank you for thatNo, it actually is Roy`s blue palette swap
...sorryforthat
Anything that has been "leaked" and contains Ridley recently has been called "BS" or "Fanboyism".If that is the way you feel, why did you even bother bringing it up? Perhaps if you enhanced it correctly, people would not "call your crap BS." But that is just a theory.
Ridley is for Really.Thank you for that
Now I'm trying to think of a rhyming crowd chant for Ridley like Roy's our Boy.
Well...i imagine it as a small crowd of Space Pirates in the background saying:Thank you for that

I suppose "something that can't be translated" DOES rhyme with "something that can't be translated."Well...i imagine it as a small crowd of Space Pirates in the background saying:
" *something that can`t be translated* Ridley *something that can`t be translated* "
That is rhyming crowd chant...right?
Because it is the internet.I don't even want ridley in the game, so why would I make it up

=u= Glad that I already drew something like your idea a while ago...Well...i imagine it as a small crowd of Space Pirates in the background saying:

Ridley's our bid dream.Thank you for that

I did hear negative things on it (that's why I only watched it now). The only reason I did watched it was because I just wrote why the argument itself is irrelevant and as I expected, this video proves what I said even further.Earlier you were asking how the too big argument became so common, correct? While it's not the source of the argument, this video you find so laughable (for good reason) is, I think, one of the main reasons the too big argument became so prominent. Even though the logic used in that video is terrible, it spread quickly through those who watched it. People began to reference Shokio's video as the ultimate proof that Ridley could never be playable. It was definitely an important factor in making "Too Big" into the convoluted argument it is today.
You know, part of the reason I support Ridley is to prove once and for all how horrible that logic is.
When I first heard of Ridley, I saw it said that he was Samus' arch enemy, so my 9 year old self thought he had a power suit, now if only ONM gave me a screenshotFirst of all, sorry about this being a qoute to something unrelated. I accidently clicked reply and couldn't undo it.
second,
I really don't understand where the "too big" mindset comes from, and that's coming from an ex toobigger. Honestly when I first heard the idea of Ridley being in smash, it was from my brother pre brawl, and I had never played a metroid game or heard Ridley requested for smash bros. and my first thought was "isn't he a little big for smash?" It wasn't until I played my first metroid game (Other M)please don't kill meand fought Ridley that I thought "wait, this is the guy I thought was so huge? He's not that big. Bowsers bigger than he is in sunshine." That's when I came around to the idea of Ridley being in smash. I have no idea why I thought Ridley was too big. I had never played a metroid game, and I had never heard "Ridley's too big" so there was no logical reason for me to conclude that Ridley was too big. It's like there's something supernatural about Ridley that makes people hate him for no reason.
Lol. It is true that Ridley is Samus' arch-enemy, but arch-enemies don't have to fight with the same mechanics as their respective hero. Mario vs. Bowser, DK vs. K. Rool, Link vs. Ganondorf (although Ganondorf does use swords in a few variations), etc. ^^When I first heard of Ridley, I saw it said that he was Samus' arch enemy, so my 9 year old self thought he had a power suit, now if only ONM gave me a screenshot
keep in mind I was a stupid kid back in the day and you would know why, especially because I couldn't tell rival or arch enemy apartLol. That looks like Wily Castle's backgroundI was looking at some pics then... WHAT?
If you look at the pic, I circled a poster in which seems to be Ridley! Well, let's take a closer look.... shall we?

As you can see, whatever it is, has a blueish color, has wings, and has a Ridleyish head. I would like to know, what do you think this is. I tried to talk about this on the WHobby (Japanese Everything) thread, but they pushed it off as spam, or bs, or trolling. Please tell me what YOU Think. Please examine pic before opinions.
P.S. This is not a troll, this might be something!
P.P.S The zoomed in pic does look like random pixels, but really look at it, then you will notice it, you know, zooming in does that.
Going back to Aerodromes....somewhat less than nice counter post, your mind is seeing something, and then filling in the gaps itself, and it just so happens to be Ridley. You're basically assuming it's Ridley because you, nor anyone, can comprehend what it actually is. I don't even think someone could enhance the image enough to make it clear at all. Plus, the facts are why has no one else in the world commented on this "Ridley". If it was Ridley, even in Japan things would probably be blowing up on 2chan and such, no way only one camera would just happen to notice it.I don't understand why EVERYONE is bashing me out for an honest mistake! Nobody knows for sure what it is, but why couldn't I maie an honest guess? People have told me to zoom in on it to prove it to you, and I did, now your calling it a pixalated mess! Zoom in on it yourself! I honestly don't care what you say, I can see the shape of ridley's body! Now my question.. why do you think that looks iike a stage or the trophy? I clearly see a dragon, even if it is pixalated. I am really disappointed at this community if a man can't have his own opinion before somebody starts ridiculeing him. I'm ashamed and you should be too. I agree on how you believe what you believe, but now why don't you agree with the the fact that I beieve that is Ridley. We all have different beliefs, but this world come to just plain arguing. If I'm the only one who sees Ridley in the pic, so be it, since NOBODY else sees it, it's not Ridley. Discussion Over, I respect you all.
SERIOUSLY?! Was it a Ridley supporter or not? If he wasn`t...then i am surprised...I just read something actually smart about Ridley on Gamefaqs. I know, miracles do happen.
Someone says Ridley would likely be one of the mirrored characters, to always ensure his wings are in the same spot in the background at all times (like how Bowser is facing the screen both ways, compared to Marth who turns around)
Wouldn't that require less animations? I mean you only have to do them facing one way, then just flip everything to go the other, like using the Flip Horizontal feature in Photoshop. If you want to say something else after already posting something, then just edit your last/latest message, @ Cutie Gwen .
supercopper64, there is nothing that can be done to zoom in in that image without turning it into a pixelated mess, so, it is not your fault.
SERIOUSLY?! Was it a Ridley supporter or not? If he wasn`t...then i am surprised...
Anyway, it sounds like a good idea to keep his wings in the background, but it would require extra animations.
While riding Gogoat of course.I can't wait to see Raccoon Ridley holding a star rod on a new Kirby stage.
While wearing the Screw Attack item. While riding Gogoat of course.
That is possible only in 2D games and causes a lot of problems with characters like Sagat. In 3D, it doesn`t works like that. All of those taunts where character turns to face the screen (in Brawl for example) use a separate animation. To make Ridley always have his wings in the backround, developers will need to create 1 extra animation for most default animation so he would go back to required position instead of suddenly facing other side at the end or/and start of those animations.Wouldn't that require less animations? I mean you only have to do them facing one way, then just flip everything to go the other, like using the Flip Horizontal feature in Photoshop.
I'm sure it's not that easy, but you'd basically only have to plan one direct of animations rather than two.
I guess I meant less work, but huh, I guess that's a good point. Fair enough thenThat is possible only in 2D games and causes a lot of problems with characters like Sagat. And it can`t require less animations anyway.
By the way, is there a proof that Bowser always faces the screen? It's just a good thing Sakurai has already shown to be willing to put in the work.
By the way, is there a proof that Bowser always faces the screen?
Then we won`t have to worry about Ridley not facing the same way to keep his wings in the backround if developers did that with more than 1 character.
PotD update...uhh, a while ago. Some characters are facing the same way both ways cuz their backs are boring (Marth as I said is an exception, as I'd imagine any cape wearer would be)
Ayyup. I've fixed it this time, but next time you double post you are in Ridley trouble! >:OEDIT: Does this count as double posting? there was more than 30 minutes in between my posts?
I wish Iwata was a moderator nowAyyup. I've fixed it this time, but next time you double post you are in Ridley trouble! >:O
Please understand.
Well, @ KuroganeHammer about fits the latter description, so both?I wish Iwata was a moderator now
Is that Ridley trouble as his size, or Ridley trouble as in he'll be eaten by a giant space dragon
They're about the same size. New Bowser got told off by his chiropractor though so he stands up straighter....and i kinda wish they kept Bowser`s Brawl size...or it is same size?
The Dragon of the mods? I can live with that.Well, @ KuroganeHammer about fits the latter description, so both?
