Stereotypes for Black gamers
First and foremost I would like to say this is by no means a troll blog or meant to hurt anyones feelings or cause any drama llamas. I'm writing this to give you guys a different perspective- possibly a rare one because chances are if you reading this, you probably aren't a a Black gamer player because you would be hustling on da streets somwehere
Now we all know stereotypes are bad. There's lots of bad ones especially about Black gamers. Okay. First of all, I want to say, on behalf of being a legit looking Black gamer player [I'm a porn Star] that the stereotype is lulz worthy and hypocritical.
Why? Because the same can be said of lots of Black Gamers
Here are the few that stick out to me the most.
1. The Madden Negro
"All Black People Play Madden(and other sports games)"
Aw yeah! I'm pretty sure everyone has ran into a black guy that fits into this category! I'm sure you all have that one blacl friend at your school or college that says he plays "Video Games" but in reality, he only hangs around a specific genre which he call EA Sports Gam....er sports games. These Black gamers will always show up to parties, clubs etc with thier favorite sports Jersey from thier favorie team and will always find any opprituny to dicuss specific game strategies from thier game and compare them to its IRL counterpart. "See dat ****? If dey went with my beautifully crafted play tactic, they would have won! Yo I should be running NFL, son!"
But fort the most part, you are safe unless you live in the South like I do
I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me:
Mikey: Hello, how are you doing today, my fellow African American brother? Do you spend any of your recreational time playing Video games?
Madden Negro: Naw, I don't play video games but I play dat madden, shawty!
Mikey: Oh..ok -_-
2 The Mavel VS capcom 2 Negro
"All black people play VS games"
I thought about it and It makes sense about this one! Since Black People tend to be be fastest runners(Olympics, Police, Running with stolen TVs for added wieght training)
THEN it would make perfect sense why they would be good at one of fighting games and series which require the fastest reflexes.
These are probaly the most dangerous types of Black gamers to encounter. You will usually find many of them at tournaments or at Arcades. My advice to you: Be extra careful around them, try not piss them off by stepping on thier new Jordans or you'll be losing more than just your Quaters for the next game.
3 The Sol Badguy/Ragna/Shoto/falco/Roy/Doc Negro
Ever Notice how almost all blacks tend to always pick these characters? Hell, I even secondary Sol Bad guy and I'm feelin Ragna. I don't get it. I don't have a reasonable explaination for why we choose those characters. Maybe it has
something to do with the characters that have some sort of a Fire attack. Doc is a drug dealer I guess. *shrugs*
But I'll say this: Falco is a Bird and we all know which bird is favored by all black people.
So if any Black gamers reading this... if you're sick of people talkin **** to you and only you cause you doing youur thang, just throw that salt all back in their face cause they ****in hypocrites n ****. Kind of like you, and me, for postin dis blog.
To non Black gamers - If you don't fall into any of the archetypes I mentioned... then You're not really Black lol
Bottom Line- Black gamer Stereotypes nees to end, because the same can be said of ALL Black gamers- both ghetto fabulous and and hood gangsta
Peace out, and try not to get too butthurt over this blog. Even though everything I said is true and backed up by first hand experience, because I know everything about everyone it was meant for entertainment value as well, again im not trying to start some lame Street Gang war. Just opening your eyes and giving ya'll a new perspective.
