tbh the defense was a much bigger factor than the offense this game. if we could have gotten the stops we needed in the third, kobe bryant's flurry would have at least made us even/ given us the lead. they don't say 'defense wins championships' for nothing.

considering the amount of TO's the celtics had, the end game deficit should have been much much larger. the six point win is by no means a picture of what really happened this game.

if the lakers tighten down on defense, good offense is much more likely to follow.

No I agree, that's why offensive teams like the suns and magic aren't in the finals but along with the D their offense was totally out of wack. Kobe can win regular season games himself but not an NBA title. Pau can't have another game like yesterday's and Kobe shouldn't be scoring almost half the teams points with all the other talent on our roster. Lakers will **** as soon as we get back to staples

lol you laker fans. the lakers aren't winning if kobe shoots 27 times a game. the celtics were getting great looks all of game 4 too... they just converted this time. without bynum's contributions the lakers don't have the D or rebounding to hang, and the more the lakers are behind, the more kobe wants to put the team on his back and try to do everything. how many times did pau gasol touch the ball in the post? how many times did anyone touch the ball in the post?

wouldn't be surprised if kobe shot 10-25 next game and the lakers got blown out

edit: no Kobe shooting horribly johns. This was a match between two great defensive teams so ba shooting was all around. Kobe deserved MVP bc he hustled played awesome d, and grabbed 15 boards. He ultimately wanted it more which is why he deserved it. Can't find that on a stat sheet
