OK but for a 2015 game it really shouldn't have these issues. They're annoying and the small font needs some squinting.
Again, I don't have these issues, once I switched to the Gamepad, I could suddenly read everything clearly. Have you calibrated the Wii U for your TV? That might be the issue. Not to mention that 2015 was **** for gaming, so I can let this slide

It's not the TV or my eyesight, the game in itself is the one causing these issues.

Damn. Then either I've gotten lucky or it's an NA problem
Personally I don't have an issue with the lyrical stuff in this game. I'm so enveloped in the game that i don't care about the lyrics while i'm thrashing something.

I've reached a point in the game where i'm mixing/matching classes now. granted its only Full Metal Jag. and Duelist right now,but i plan to look into others in the future.

I don't get what Proficiency Exam #6 is telling me to do.

Meanwhile on the bright side, I have finished surveying 25% of Oblivia.

Use FrontierNav to earn over 15,000 credits in a single return.

And thanks. It took me a while but I still did it.
oh that one. basically setup the Nav to where you'll get 15,000 credits during the cycle. I had to take off a bunch of mining probes to get this one out of the way.

You mean like changing a probe or something?

pretty much. the probes have to be set up to where you'll get the amount(or more) that its looking for in 1 cycle. changing probes,or taking mining probes out can help. also finding Sightseeing spots increase the income greatly.

Sounds simple enough. I'll be sure to do that later.

My Problem with Chapter 12
THE DAMN LIFE HOLD IS GIGANTIC HOW STUPID ARE THE DAMN PEOPLE FROM LA. Also the cutscene showing us flying to the Core was amazing, who agrees?

Also where can I train my character to Level 50 easily(currently 43) because I want to defeat the boss.

Fast travel to the furthest right location you can go in Oblivia. There's a Skell enemy that shouldn't be hard to beat if you have the G-Buster weapon on multiple Skells. Will level you up rather quickly.

I decided to hold off on obtaining a Skell license for the time being considering that the last two exams could take a while for me to complete and I really wanna continue on with the story, which I'm now at Chapter 7 by the way.

I just saw the famous heavy-spoilery launch trailer.

Then I checked the video's description, saying :

"This trailer contains scenes that could be considered spoilers."

Oh yeah ?
Well, it would have been much smarter to warn about it AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO.
Not everyone read the video's description before watching it.
The worst part is they DID warn on spoilers with trailers for the re-release of the first Xenoblade on the New 3DS, but not here.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Anyway, I at least finished the game before watching it.

Now I'm gonna restart to research the one who spoiled me about one of the ultimate twists of the game before to extirpate their small intestine.

Ahh. Good luck with the rest of the game!

*looks up extirpate*
Ow. as the PKMN Stadium 2 announcer would say,"THAT WAS BRUTAL!"
I don't think i got spoiled on anything in this game except for one thing, but i'm not gonna mention it here.
I beat the game's story yesterday. using Overdrive on Bosses to completely wreck them is always fun.

They did the same thing for Xeno3D. They showed endgames spoilers and the FINAL BOSS

Well, Chapter 7 was rather short than I thought it would be. Well, at least I can now attempt to finish the remaining proficiency exams I have left so I can get my Skell license.

Do you mean this one ?

They did warn at the beginning of the video though, as I previously said.

You mean you actually BEAT that boss without a damn Skell? :|

You should complete the exams anyway. Travelling around is so much easier once you have a Skell, especially when you need to get to Sylvalum.

Yep, I did it without it. Though I was gonna get it before starting on Chapter 7 but I got desperate to continue with the story.

I'm definitely gonna finish the exam before I start on Chapter 8.

Finally got the chance to play the game today after getting it as a Christmas gift (got three days after December 25th because familial reasons). There's something I'd like to know, since this game doesn't seem to have the aggro ring from the original one, how can I know which character the enemy will target for attacks? (Asides from arts that cause the enemy to attack the user)

I'm also surprised at how dangerous enemies are. Is it just me, or I die more often than not against enemies of the same level as me? I'm only very early in the game though, so maybe it's because I don't have many options for arts and everything yet.

So I finally got my own Skell today and I must say I'm really loving it.

I recolored my Skell to be a close resemblance to Rosalina's color scheme as best as I could. I even named it after her Japanese name as well, Rosetta.

Oh and I'm on Chapter 8 now.

Honestly, if I were to give someone advice on this game, I would say don't rush through the main story. I regretted doing that because it's really not worth it. Take some time doing some quests and stuff, especially in between chapter 8 and 9. That boss WILL kick your balls if you are underlevelled.

Also, the game doesn't mention this, but you basically need the Skell's flight module for chapter 10. Unlike first getting the Skell, the mission involving the flight module is an affinity mission, and thus you're basically screwed once you get to a certain part in chapter 10 if you can't fly.

For grinding, Weeping Whitewoods (Fast Travel point NE of FN Site 215) until ~Lv50. Lock onto an appendage and use G-Buster with your Skell(s). If you have two G-Busters it'll instantly die (if you don't miss).
Once you get to 50, grab a Lv50 Skell with a Lv50 G-Buster and use at least 2 other (Lv30) Skells with G-Busters and go to FN Site 207. Grind the three croc monsters (target their appendages again) and fast travel there over and over until Lv60.
Equip Exp Boost items for cheese.

And as for the spoiler...
If you swim around the area before Chapter 12, the Lifehold won't be there. I seriously believe it was underwater before Chapter 12.

Well, Chapter 8 was a ***** and I'm not just talking about at the beginning...

I might as well take W Weedy Spyze 's words into consideration and take a breather from the story and just focus on the affinity and request missions instead.

^ Lol, if you had trouble with chapter 8 then definitely take that breather for chapter 9. It has one of the hardest fights in the game--definitely the hardest up to that point. Most people I see around the web seem to agree with me on that. I'd say be around ~35 before you take a crack at it. Be sure you're levelling your arts and skills.

As for the spoiler discussion:
I agree that the Lifehold probably sank underwater, and the Ganglion lifted it to surface or something. They had a bunch of spaceships that kept wanting to snipe me whenever I tried to go there to finish the game. Also keep in mind the point of FrontierNav is to scout the planet and Cauldros is three CONTINENTS away. They can't damn well just blindly send a bunch of helicopters to search the ocean, especially with all the god monsters flying about.

There are plenty of plotholes at the end lmao, but this isn't one of them.

Take a huge breather between Chapters 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
They WANT you to take it slow, because all of these chapters contain fights that spike in difficulty if you don't grind. Grind around for Skell Gear, like G-Busters that I mentioned above. They will help with the grind AND the fights.

But uh, don't overgrind like I did on my second playthrough. I literally fought Skell-less for the last two chapters.

EDIT:
Spoiler-free cutscene picture I took... note my gear Lv...

I beat the game, btw I trained against "Ictus"(Scorpion/Drapion like things, Level 60, west of Primordia) from 45 -> 53
They die easily to G Buster (ze cheapest one nontheless) from the Weapon Shop with 4, very cheap Level 30 skells. Can only recommend. Would save beforehand though.

Opinion about ending:
Needed imho one more chapter to close more plot holes, Elma not only got redeemed for me being "El-Mary Sue" like she even turned hotter! Ending was to open...also watching the intro again will leave you with even more questions...

Answer from me about spoiler discussion
The Lifehold being underwater and first would explain this(I am fine with this explanation!).
But honestly, you can see the Lifehold if you stand on the north of Noctilum, and east from Cauldros due to its gigantic size. I believe the Underwater Hypothesis, so nvm

I see you using the Meredith(not sure if the English uses the same company name) Gear ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) is the game even fun if you are that overleveled O__O

#Candid&Credible

No, and I seriously do not recommend overlevelling like I did.
Granted, it WAS the second playthrough, so I DID get to enjoy the boss fights. (Screw Chapter 10 tho)

Just one playthrough is good enough for games like this. Once I finish the game, I'm moving on to another.

Yeah, I did a second playthrough because I rushed my first one, and I didn't get to enjoy it as much.
...Also because I wasted my BP on a build I didn't like using.

And how easily did you get to the north end of Noctilum, hmm? I believe it's impossible to get up there without the Skell's flight module (which btw the whole "Skells can't fly" plot point was such bull**** lmao, but that's another topic for another day) and Cauldros is the land of raining fiery death. Plus these are continents, I'm sure they're "supposed" to be bigger than they appear ingame. Time how long it takes to run from NLA to the Lifehold using the in-game clock.

The ending to the game is pretty...well, awful in my opinion. Let's throw in a bunch of plot twists just for the sake of having plot twists! Who cares if they don't make much sense when you really stop to think about it. The epilogue especially can go f*ck off. I don't even consider it canon.

And because I feel like it, here are a few comments about this game's villains for anyone who may be interested:

They all suck. Most of the sidequest villains and the indigens felt like much more of a threat than the Ganglion.

Luxaar - He just stood around the whole game blabbering about The Great One. I assume he's a wrestling fan because every time I heard him say that, my mind immediately went to The Rock. We went from Egil to this loser? Ugh.

Goetia - You know how when you destroy her mech? She dies! Did you know that? I didn't until I reached the end of the game and she never appeared again. Sorry, Ms. Fanservice Alien Lady. Too bad they couldn't give you a cutscene death. But I guess they had to remain consistent--your death had to remain as important to the overall plot as your life did.

Ryzz & Daughan - I kind of liked them, if only because they showed a little more personality than "We are evil humans must die." Ryzz was a brat and Daughan was kind of the brute/brother figure/voice of reason. Too bad they also unceremoniously died when Zu Pharg went boom.

Ga Jiarg & Ga Buidhe - Awesome and I wish they were playable. I have a feeling they were supposed to be, because in their boss fight their animations are rather similar to the other player characters. Plus, there's a late game affinity quest involving them. They could've at least showed up for the final showdown. Cat people ftw.

The Traitor - He's a loser (literally and figuratively). I didn't even like him as a good guy. Worst character in the game. Screw you Lin, I didn't WANT to side with you when Elma was going to shoot him. Whole game is built on the concept of my character having choices and I don't get one in that scenario? Bull.

Ornella - She's voiced by Mona Marshall. During Hope's second affinity mission, she sounded exactly like Izzy from Digimon. I now can't unhear it.

If anyone's interested, I'll post my thoughts on the player characters some other time.

I managed to create an infinite overdrive build for my PC! I maxed out Duelist first and then went to Full Metal Jaguar.
Offensive Stance --> Primer --> Magnum Edge --> Tornado Blade --> True Stream Edge. Maxed out Yamato Spirit skill lets me gain TP like crazy.

I also have Burning Slash --> Incendiary Edge for my mega damage attack. Eighth spot is filler atm--it's either Rising Blade or Sky High (because that's Phog's art and Phog is <3 ) but once I unlock Blossom Dance it will go on there.
