shippensburg (mowfest) is pretty much the most central place we could get; reik is supposedly going there next semester too so they'll have a reasonable presence and maybe we can convince them to set something up

also, on top of OH tourneys, i want to go to a few MD/VA things too if we have the time

and as Cactuar and Mow both stated before activity doesn't affect the inital list. it's like Cactuar is like top right now right? so if he stopped playing he'd go down to 8th? =)

you don't get "dropped on the list" based on inactivity

if you're just plain inactive (don't play at all) you get taken off the list completely

if you still play some but don't perform well, you will likely get dropped down the list

also, it will not be voluntary; no one can "choose" not to be on the list besides by just not playing competitively

I guess the list is ranked not according tournament performance huh? or could that be a part of what factors in. You could have someone who doesn't enter or is "less active", so they would still be ranked accordingly right?

if they don't play they can't be ranked on it so they won't be

of course track record will be considered if someone's performance in the most recent period has been subpar, but obviously recent results trump past results (assuming all other things equal)

ranking based on results is ineffective because the state is too large for people to attend the same events regularly; there are going to have to be a lot of subjective calls; results are the first thing we consider but not the only thing
