Guys... I hate to say this, but the Ness/Jigglypuff/Lucario leak looks to actually be spelling bad news for Mega Man.

There are some supposedly credible leakers/prophets over at NeoGAF called MarkMan and Reno who are echoing the same thing as Nyase -- 35 characters total, and no more third-parties. And from what I understand, tonight's leak only further credits Nyase's leaks, which would mean... no Mega Man. I don't want to think that they could be right, but... I'm not going to lie and say this is looking good right now.

i gaurantee you there are MORE than 35 characters. That newspaper thing practically confirmed it. plus, rapscouter, and a new "leaker" holdencaully are basically sayin mega man is in.

Hopefully the next confirmed character on the DOJO is Krystal, debunking the 35 character ones and hinting the prima leak one.
The prima roster is the best one I've seen, hopefully its the right one.

That's what i think, but then again, I'm so good with messing with people's minds that maybe this FS is something geared more toward my playstyle... (Although think I'll be using it more often than not as Sheik for the skidding effect.)

I think that's actually Copy Rockman, but regardless, he looks great.

Oh, I was mistaken. They didn't take it out of the Nintendo website video. It's still there, and just as hard to catch.

To say it again, I'm comfortable knowing Nintendo will do the right thing and put Megaman into Brawl. I don't need someone who claims to have heard something from someone to tell me that he will or won't be in, because there's no longer any reason to keep him out.

I'm going to go ahead and guess the answer is "no," but would you be so kind as to tell us how you feel comfortable making a statement like that? Are you saying you have a source or are you just really, really hoping they are 40 or more characters?

About my last post: bear in mind that I am still supporting Mega Man all the way and really, really hope for him to be in. I'm just a little more worried that he isn't, is all. I don't like the fact that three prophets -- none of whom have yet been debunked -- are all talking about a 35-character roster, one which today's leak supports. That's all. I'm not saying this proves them right, because it doesn't, and I have many reasons to believe Mega Man is definitely in (including one I haven't mentioned because I don't want to sound like a prophet), but... I'm just being a little cautious, is all. But it still stands, and I still believe in it --

This game has the biggest development team in history, only second to MGS4. Sakurai got his own studio to develop this game. And now you want to tell me, that we will only get 35 characters? I can write a 35 character roster in 10 minutes!

excactly. There can't possibly be a measely 35 characters after all the work, time, and manpower put into this game. heck, they made an entire studio devoted to smash bros. I would expect something much more from that much work.

True but you forget three things - namely Smash Bros being a different kind of fighter, the amount of effort going into it, and Sakurai's claims of this being (loosely stated) the most epic Smash yet. 35 characters + all the other content in the game right now seems like stuff Ninteno could do by themselves (looks at Melee in comparison), but to get a full and complete studio devoted just to one game?! That screams "moar 2 b seen" to me.

no it isn't. 35 is only 9 more than melee. Not to mention the game was worked on for about 3 years or so, by a VERY large development team, so large, they made an entire studio JUST to work on brawl.

compared to 64-melee, melee was able to get 14 more characters than 64, and had a MUCH shorter development time, and a much smaller development team.

if brawl has all this, but only has 35 characters, then the development team must be the most lazy and incompetent development team in the universe then.

which is why there will be more than 35 characters.
