I fail to see how this is more than 55:45 Ike or 60:40 Ike at the absolute worst. Despire jiggly's amazing air game, she can still be shut out with Ike's nair, fair, tilts, and jabs if used properly. As Jiggs, approaching Ike at all could risk getting severely punished by Ike's high priority attacks. I think it could be a really extreme matchup. you can expect either side to lose horribly with similar skill levels.

I believe that jigglypuff mainers already went to the Ike boards and discussed a lot about this already

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=192160&page=123

some people here probably already gave their two cents. Worth a read.

I would give Ike a slight advantage, 55:45 ike, I have not seen any ikes use Nair and Bair often enough to make a huge difference. Jiggly's high air speed, and strategic DI could put on some huge pressure on ike for using high power attacks. Ikes big ko moves take to much start up lag, that can be punished, but one good hit from Ike is a kill, so it all comes down to skill, of the player.

I'm sure we will have a new and productive Ike discussion when the weekly discussion "Ike" starts.

I strongly disagree with the idea that Ike has an advantage though.

Ike will have the advantage on Wifi.... Jigglypuff will have the advantage Offline.... If there is to much lag Ike can AAA through the whole match making it impossible to get to him -.- But if the Lag is Perfect you can upthrow Ike Untill he get so pissed that he starts to attack whitout any thougths behind it :p

Edit: Sorry for Double posting -.- Thought i said this in another thread.... *Facepalm*

So, I've got an inescapable (by humans at least) 0-D on wario from the center of corneria to the lip.

Step 1: use a grounded Footstool hop on Wario.
Step 2: Make sure the footstool is a very short hop and up-air so that you hit Wario up.
Step 3: footstool hop him in the air.
Step 4: hit him with a falling n-air (soft) so that he is locked.
Step 5: continue with a jab lock up to the end of the fin.
Step 6: Grab
Step 7: Release
Step 8: Rest

Of course it's Corneria :( But maybe it can kill somewhere else if he is at a reasonable percent. No actual Peach style infinite though?

Oh I mean, you can grab-release into f-air on green-greens and it leads to a KO.

It probably works on a bunch of stages, I've just tested Corneria.

I keep saying that I believe a Peach style infinite DOES exist. I refuse to test that crap myself though... pretty evil tactic IMO. At least my 0-D requires a FH.

I notice you have a Wolf icon. Are you looking for tips against Jiggs as Wolf? Or the opposite. I can help you with either.

I figured out GDI for Zelda's f-smash and have gotten it to work with her up-smash as well (not consistently). This will help the matchup out a lot.

I HATE JIGGYPUFF IN BRAWL -RAWR-
They down graded most of her attacks
I pretty much lose with her all the time only if "Rest" was like in melee
oh yea are you sure that these match up really well?

What are you talking about? The only downgrade was rest really, Jigglypuff controls probably the best in Brawl, and some moves were sped up a bit more, plus rollout was made even more convenient to use. It's not really that Jigglypuff is too different in Brawl, it's that everyone else is too different, so the old advantages aren't really there. It's harder to take advantage of aerial attacks due to hit stun being so limited in Brawl now. Jigglypuff isn't terrible though, just takes a lot of work to get any success out of it in Brawl compared to the other games. What annoys me is that there are a few specific characters who Jigglypuff just cannot defeat whatsoever if they are in the right hands.

Both the above posts are very silly.

Jiggs got nerfed hard, I just don't care because you can still **** with her. Rest still *****, just not quite as hard as in melee. Its very different now with low hitstun, but at least it gives us interrupts.

There is no character Jiggs can't defeat period. I wouldn't say that if it wasn't for Jigglesthepuff beating Ambrose's GW. Maybe there is just no character Jigglesthepuff can't defeat...

At MKChaos: saying you hate Jiggs is sorta taboo here. The matchups are the result of extensive and sometimes heated discussion. If you actually play Jiggs, try doing it with less suck. Or play MK. That also works (I did it for a little while and got bored).

At Delmore: While I agree with most of what you say, blanket statements are bad. Especially things along the lines of "she's not bad, just hard to play". That's a cliche that gets us laughed at.

What I think is laughable about the Jigglypuff community is how people who are considered great with the character aren't actually very good overall, the bar is just set so low. I don't think a fair statement like that alone is doing it. I think the general idea that you're using a character who obviously will never get very far would additionally be pretty laughable to others.

So, uh, who are you again? What region are you from? What top players have you played? What's your tournament experience? What are your credentials? State them and maybe I'll take you seriously. Until then, urwrong, GG no re.

I love how easily you're taking offense to a non-offensive comment.

If you're offended, just don't give me attention then, I am kind of bummed now since this discussion got thrown off track.

Laughable has negative connotation. You're also calling her top players bad. Explain to me, how is that a non offensive statement?

As one of her high level players, yes, I do take offense to that. You have shown pure ignorance to her entire community and metagame, and then proceed to mock her top players.

GJ at being non offensive, buddy.

I said most people who are considered somewhat decent with Jigglypuff aren't really that good. I didn't say the best are bad. I guess since you are high rated, you are very anal over ANY comments which could be taken negatively. Just take a deep breath, count to ten. I take back what I said, if there's anything laughable about some of the Jigglypuff players, it's the fact that people will react like this to a simple comment.

Back on subject, is Snake actually considered a bad match-up? Seems like it can go both ways.

One of her worst on a stage with low platforms. Without platforms, still a hard match. Utilt shuts down our approaches and kills way too early. Ftilt is about 1/4 of our stock in one move.

A bit late.
Keep in mind how little flaming goes on between Jigglypuff mains generally. I can only think of one other instance (player) in which Alex or Mike got POed. Just try not to insult all of us or the boards or our character and play it off like its nothing and we'll be cool. The fact that you thought a DACUS was flashy indicates you aren't in a position to criticize anyone here.

:ohwell:

You may lower your flame shield now.

I said out of anything in those videos, that was probably the only thing that could be viewed as flashy, since they weren't special, but hey, easy to take words out of context I guess, I'll try to get used to that here. I didn't know people were so sensitive.

We're probably the the least sensitive of the boards. In general, we're all nice people. Flaming on jiggly boards is like rubbing two pencils together in comparison to the blazing inferno's some of the other boards have to deal with.

Anyway it's a pretty calm community. (just don't forget to make fun of woodman  )

Also just wondering guys, is there any match up where jigglypuff doesn't get off even or just lose?

huh, that's I better turn out than I'd expect.

Great. we should post those on this guide too, and not just the low scoring match ups.

Ah. Then yes, it should be.

And, because I'm semi-active in online tourneys. o:
