Well, guys, I'm really fairly neutral on Geno (although I somewhat don't want him in just because I support MM and Geno taking the last 3rd party slot would basically deconfirm MM) but I gotta say that you shouldn't let this really lame roster spoil your hopes. As many have already said, it reeks of failure on a number of levels. The Jiggly/Lucario/Ness deal has at least a 99% chance of being true, but the fact that it seems to coincide to a certain degree with the leaked roster doesn't really mean much, since there are tons of fake rosters floating around so one or two of them are bound to be at least somewhat close to the truth.

In short, keep your chins up and don't give up hope until the final roster is officially revealed. I never gave up hope for Ness, and in the end I was vindicated. Perhaps you will be too, and just imagine what a glorious day of rejoicing that will be for you.

I heard that the 35 char roster with ROB was basically admitted fake, the psoter said that he put together Nya's predictions and other famous roster.

As for the roster's size, I never really got where that came from, hopefully fake too.

So we are back to the start, wishing and hoping.

BTW Geno's confirmation does not hur Megaman's chances, since Geno would be a Mario character and Sakurai considers him 1st party

Well, if that's the case then I guess I'll throw in for Geno, if for no other reason than the fact that there are so many who love him and I like to see as many people happy as possible.

Well, I like the Mushroomy Kingdom stage, and we finally got a Mario music update. Sadly, its not the Forest Maze one.

Yeah, I like the looks of the stage, as well as the fact that it sometimes randomly plays as the underground stage. I'm wondering, though, what happens when the stage ends? Does it scroll back the other way?

I don't post much but I feel this needs to be said: I'm pulling for Geno as much as anyone, but this 35 char roster business isn't over. It started when ChronoBound compiled a listed that merged claims by prophets that had overlapping rumors. That roster ended up getting "confirmed" was done so by these respected members of the NeoGaf forum. This is how it happened as far as what I have read. I've been floating between here, Gamefaqs, and a few other forums and this "debunking" would seem to be nothing more than ChronoBound explaining that he compiled the list.

It would seem that many are taking this as him creating the list when all he did was compile it. The fact still remains that so called reputible sources have given it a thumbs up. If that much has changed, please let me see it because it has yet evaded me. Essentailly, what I'm saying is that the dark shadow of the Roster of Lameness still looms overhead. Still, I wouldn't lose hope for Geno as long as he hasn't been deconfirmed.

What makes me raise an eye brow is that the roster pretty much had to have been decided before they started on the SSE so the excuses "we ran out of time" and "we didn't have enough man power" fall flat on their faces.

Oh and if ROB's playable, I've already figured out he's the Ancient Minister so the creativity of that character speaks for itself...

Did you by chance see the pic that was edited to show a ROB outline on the image of the AM? I thought it looked like that theory could hold some water. Also, I feel the same in regards to the roster in relation to all the other met demands, but it would seem odd for reputable sources to just turn and start spreading propaganda. I see about equal posibility on both sides, which makes waiting all the harder. Still, the fact that Sakurai stated he was approching the game as if it were the "Final Smash" so to speak, is reasuring in the sense that he would attempt to make it as amazing as possible. I think Geno would fit that idea perfectly, and stating as much keeps me on topic.

It's not entirely illegal, I think. You are protected by law to download ROMs as a backup source, I heard.

who cares? it doesn't make a difference whether you buy the game off of somebody on Ebay or make it easy for yourself and download it via the Internet.

Nintendo isn't going to lose thousands and thousands of dollars for a game that's been over a decade old. roms do more good than bad since they revive all the old things and keep them alive way better.

it's not like they manufacture the game anymore, either. so is it illegal? yes. does that make it wrong morally? it doesn't to me.

As far as legality, it is entirely legal for you to freely download a ROM, as long as it is deleted within 24 hours...meant as a "demo"(Nintendo's words). And if you are skillful and dedicated enough, you can probably get through a good chunk -if not all- of the game in that time(sleep is for the weak). And at the very least you will have Geno for a decent amount of time and see why he's amazing.

I really wish that the Ness/Lucario character leaks had been Geno instead...ah well, it's only a matter of time. Seriously, if they'll put LUCARIO in, then I see no reason why Geno isn't going to make it.

Oh, and that Mario stage looks flipping sweet. It's like...a Twilight Princess version of Mario Bros. If Forest Maze is in and looks that good, I may have to play that stage exclusively xD

Lucario and Geno aren't on the same level...

No licensing issues, and Lucario is the most popular new gen Pokémon that wouldn't be complicated (ie, too awkward, wouldn't work without being a duo/trio, etc.).

So it basically is like: they gave Pokemon another Newcomer after it have already got 5 (count PT as 3 separate), why Mario wouldn't get their 5th one? or even their 6th rep?
