Your'e honestly so desperate for Geno's confirmaation that you're going to wish he was in? Listen, Geno doesn't have much of a chance. His chancesare insanely overblown. He's only been in one game that wasn't his series made over a year ago. Now just that alone would be offputting, seeing as Nintendo wouldn't just slap on a retro character so unknown, but hey, they did it with the Ice Climbers, it could happen to Geno, but as him as a third party character? Nigh imossible. Do you really expect Nintendo to shell out tons of cash and rights to the game just to get some random, practically unknown character? And even further than that, would Square even want that? I mean, Geno has no series, let alone a game, that's going on, so there's no point in advertising him. In fact, if Square ever was contacted, they'd rather offer up say Cloud or Sora, as both chaaracters will actually make both Nintendo and Square real money, something Geno is unable to do.

'Nuff said.

The above post should be ignored on the sole fact that it suggests a FF character in brawl lol.

Geno's the most wanted third party character by Smash fans. He would make them money, and even then, they don't throw characters in ONLY to make money. Mario, Sonic, Link, Kirby, ect all do that already. Did they throw G+W in to sell mor Game & Watches?

No, I'm honestly not desperate. You seem desperate for attention though. I'm just making a little Christmas joke
No, not desperate for attention... sigh. Listen guys, I'm sorry, perhaps I've been a little ragged on Geno, I've just been a little uptight with the holiday stress and got so tired of people making assumptions on character's chances. So, in the spirit of the holidays, I'll be a little bit less critical on the little doll. I'll start trying to see things from a diffrent point of veiw, be a little less Grinchy, I mean, I'm basically jumping into a fan club and saying that there's no real reason to be fans. No one really wants that, I know I wouldn't. So I'll be a little lighter on the little guy.

I suppose that he could get in, I mean, anything's possible.

We know his chances, some are a little unrealistic (A couple members)

I KNOW his chances perfectly...which is the only reason the Geno club was created.

Talking about him not being in Brawl is not a very constructive thing for a support thread though.

yes, but when i did try to add something you jerkoffs instantly brush it of like its blasphamy, so its not even worth it if no one is even going to try to listen. So i just stick with this: geno will not be in brawl.
What's the point of adding any negativity in the first place?

Well, that smashed open my yuletide resolution, but seing it wsas made before I posted I'll make an exception with a quick answer.

1. FF characters are cool, and shouldn't make a quote any less important.
2. Geno's not the most wanted, Sonic was.
3.They coul have non-money making characters, as they sppent no money to get them, as they already own the characters, unlike third parties like Geno.

my argument when i first came in here was that he was not widly known, was retro, and no matter where you put him (mari or 3rd party) there are more then enough characters that should or could be in above him. And the negativity only came after i had been repeditly harassed by you and other geno supporters for voicing my opinion.

1. Yea, but you suggested that Square Enix would be contacted for FF character over Geno for a SUPER SMASH BROS. GAME.

2. Sonic's already in the game.

Coming from the guy with Olimar in his sig.

Geno seems to be the likely candidate to get in now. My hopes for him had died slightly, but now I'm more optiemistic about him again.
Look who's talking! Olimar was on a game that was one of the bithchild of the NGC and is the face of a well selling, popular game franchise. He's a unique character with a playstyle that is unprecedented. None of that can be said about Geno.

Now I knwo I promised to lighten up, but only a minute after I make it a slur of total incompitance is slung at me just because I decided to see things from your guys's point of veiw! Honestly, can't we all just get the **** along!? Geno doesn't have great chances, fine! These people admit that, but that doesn't mean they'll stop hoping! The only thing that crosses the line is when one slings mud like Ghi over here, or making outragous claims that are unsupported. Honestly, if we simple follow those things we can have peace on this thread and good will to Brawl.

It's ben proved time after time, and it's all over this thread, how Geno is such a unique character. Just because you don't like him is no need to make outrageous claims that he's not unique, or his cape is red, or whatever things you may end up saying.

How do we have peace in a thread when trolls come in for the sole purpose of stirring up trouble?

Sigh, clearly you cannot come to a standstill and continue to bring up nonsense. Yes, I made a mistake. Geno is unique. However that is the only thing that I mistook on. Olimar is the head of a series that is new and popular and born on the MGC. Geno is not, and ou avoiding all of those facts and jumping on one mistake just shows how eager you are to leap into arguments instead of trying to create peace. I actually feel sorry for you, I hope eventually we'll be able to get along, if not only for the holidays.

1. Kid, it's the internet, calm down. lol
2. If Sonic is already in the game, why would he be competing for popularity to gain a third party spot?
1. Sorry, but you were insinuating that FF wasn't worthy of getting in Brawl. Everyone's worthy, even Geno.
2. I wasn't naming him as compitition, only calling you out on your mistake, if you had said that Geno was the top unconfirmed third party character on the poll you would have been right, but you didn't, and were wrong.

EDIT: My deepest apologies on the double post, I presumed that Chi would have posted by now.

Did they make a Pikmin 3 while I wasn't looking? Pikmin isn't that popular.
Oh contraire, my Clessy, both Animal Crossing (Also getting a lot of attention in Brawl) and Pikmin were born on the GC and became hugely popular, becoming one of the top selling games on the Gamecube, surpassed by it's even more popular sequel, Pikmin 2.

Animal Crossing was born on the N64.

Pikmin is more of a critics darling, but it's a **** good game that needs representation in Brawl. Olimar would be an awesome character guys, FACT.

I can't find sales figures for it. How much did they sell? Also, being one of the top selling games on the Gamecube wasn't hard to do.

Also, I never said Pikmin wasn't good.

Yes, but that was only in Japan and it was entitled "Animal Forest", but you're right.

And boy am I glad that someone else here can agree with me on at least something.

Yes, but you said it wasn't popular, which it is, I'll try to get those figures ASAP and post them over here.

Pikmin got a 9.1 by IGN and got two awards: the E3 2001 Game Critics Awards: Best Puzzle/Trivia/Parlor Game and the 2001 Japan Media Arts Festival: Excellence Award for Interactive Art. Pikmin 2 had several good reveiws from several sources like Famitsu Weekly gave it 36/40 , Famitsu Cube & Advance gave it 39/40 , Gamespot gave the game a 9.2, stating that the game fixed nearly every problem the original had. IGN gave Pikmin 2 a 9.3, and was extremely pleased at the multitude of ways the game had improved upon what was good about Pikmin and fixed the problems it had, such as a lack of multi-player and a 30-day playing limit. It also called it an "absolute blast and fun, too. Best Party Game". Both games were made "Player's Choice".

I didn't say not popular. I said not that popular. Also, again, I never said the game wasn't good. Beyond Good and Evil got great review, but no one bought it.

Pikmin sold crap. just face it. it doesn't matter what awards it got; it barely sold a million worldwide and that's saying a lot.

it's also saying a lot that Mario RPG sold more. isn't that a shame?

I'm sure he does since Miyamoto created him, but Pikmin is not as popular as some people are implying. It didn't sell well. Maybe by Gamecube standards, but still.

I am eagerly awaiting to see if my Yoko Shimomura theory is correct. What DID she work on in Brawl? I know a lot of people on this site would try to cram the fact that "composers =/= confirmation of characters" and I agree.. but you don't hire Yoko to do something petty like the stage select screen for example. All of her works cited don't make sense in Brawl other than Super Mario RPG and Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. We all know that our good buddy Sakurai wouldn't leak Sora by listing Yoko's work as Kingdom Hearts.. but it does make me wonder..

Any guesses on tomorrow's update? I think it would be funny if it was Megaman (hopefully Geno).
