I see your trashtalking skills have improved tenfold. I tip my hat to you, good sir.

We have to play again at Apex man, really looking forward to it!
it would be a miracle if i made it to apex, bro.

i'd like to play with the old squad again sometime in the future though.

you act like me just saying nc melee in the third person means im not part of it -,-
listen camron, everyone knows I like brawl more, but that doesn't mean I still don't play the game
obviously I identify more with the brawl community
but i'm still a melee player
and also very much still a part of the community (seeing as how I'm the main melee TO atm for NC events, and still enter melee at tournaments)
idk what you want from me dude
im just tryin to play the game =p
i just don't like the general attitude of people who play Melee in NC, so naturally i don't like to be identified with that ****.

so when you're making generalizations all like "this is NC melee, ESAM" in a seemingly very self-separating way... it just seems like your taking an opportunity to be a brawl community member, but only a melee "player" so you can look down on these other people. that's just what it seemed like.

and on the subject of attitudes and johns:

i thank god blackchris came to visit me a week ago. even he has some attitude issues sometimes, like he'll get down when i do well too much, so that affects how i play occasionally...but sometimes i can get him at this optimal point where he's tryin to **** me, and i notice that and try my best too, and we both doin our best and hsit....that atmosphere....both kids trying to prove themselves, not thinking about anything about the opponent that isn't related to the match.....the tensest silence...ONLY interrupted by the occasional loud as **** "OH ****" at only the sickest stuff. and back to wordless again until the victory screen. that's what i hadn't experienced in a while and it made me miss playing with theo. ZERO JOHNS. and then me and chris talked a lot about what happened and had some legit 'aHA' moments. i grew more in that few hour friendly session than i ever had at those john-crowded drugged out fests that used to leave me depressed and questioning why i still play this game (i'm probably just a sensitive ***** though)..
but uhh..i'm not sayin don't bring cilantro to smashfests ....it can help chill the nerves or halt any bad attitudes before playing....me and chris had a pipe of some dank out in front of us for good measure....as well as a big bowl of grapes
not kidding lol
and some hot brazilian tea and ****, goddamn we had it made like Rick Ross that day (so uhh, highly recommended: high-hospitality smash training).... but everywhere i go that weed **** is just ANOTHER john. i'm starting to sound like sneak...

anyway, TL;DR

I'm permanently revoking my Catfish Status

Smashfests aren't made for ****-talk. They are made to grow and learn. If somebody is ****-talking you and you don't like it...ask them to stop.

I know whenever I play friendlies I play as serious as possible, in both Melee AND brawl (Although I may go for some risky **** that would look cool in friendlies that I wouldn't necessarily go for in tournament...but thats only for Melee since Brawl has nothing flashy). Smash is fun and all, but ultimately what everybody wants is to get better, since not being good and knowing it really sucks. I know whenever somebody highly outclasses me (although I haven't recently in melee) in a set or something I ask for advice or ask them to explain their thought processes. It helps a lot in making your mind better at the game, better at reading certain patterns, and better at making those decisions that used to seem totally random to you. Understanding the game is key, and asking questions helps that.

Whenever I feel like somebody is sandbagging in friendlies, I ask them to play "seriouslies." It seems amusing, but it works a lot...

@zaatar: dude, like anyone gives a ****. honestly. you talk like ANY of your posts on this sight have ANY constructive value. do you notice that all you do when you get on this website is act like a douche for attention and then talk about how bad people are? whether it's PRs, johns, religion, you got all this **** figured out dont you ******? stupid little ****s like you who waste entire hours on blocks of egocentric walls of text are the reasons why i stay out of the regional zones.

THEN DON'T COME TO SMASH EVENTS AND S*** N*****, SEE IF ANYONE IN THE WORLD GIVES A FLIP FLYNG **** ABOUT A MISSING $5 FROM THE SCRUB PART OF THE POT

that is how dave and I play. seemingly tense silence but broken semi-frequently w/ laughter, ****, or OH ****. the basil just means that there will be a little more laughter and a little more messing around, so you have an obvious point. Tbh, my preference would prob. be breaking it out half-way through the smash session when i start getting bored or something.

I actually really enjoyed the dialogue when chris and I played as well(was thinking about that yesterday. doesn't seem like it was already 6+ months ago, i never smash w/ anyone).. the dude was really making me laugh at one point. BTW chris, I am either starting my lease for the future house in march or april at the dub.

yo those grapes were godlike.

that tea was interesting.

i even told ashley about that  stuff. sooo pretty.

i'm still thinking about those fullhops. I hope we don't leave for our respective homes on the same day. i want to either chill at your place in gboro, or hit you up on my way through after exams.

i'm really glad i went as well. that wasn't just training; that was an experience.

and lol at my fox putting up a legitimate fight...that was the first time you've ever almost endorsed or supported my fox, and i guess it wanted to follow through or something. i'll keep a lookout for both characters defensive options and continue to find a path.

also, that is good to hear dorsey. i have no idea what i'm doing for the summer, but if i end up at home, we're sure to play a load.

edit: also mike, i'll be looking to see you quite a bit next week. i don't usually give much of a **** during exam weeks, and this one is no different. i'll let you know when.

LOOOOOOOL i forgot about how nasty my full hops were that day

god, i need to start training again asap....

and yeah chris, come by anytime. our sessions are quite legit in my opinion. again, i think you should stick with ganon, but i really don't blame you if you find another character inspiring down the road and want to switch (but i mean... uair to dropzone uair ftko? come onnnnn). i don't really believe in that whole one main forever thing anymore (even though i don't think i'll ever not main falco, we've been together since before competitive play, so it's too nostalgic at this point) so even though you'll be totally not original by switching to fox, there is a chance that you can get better at ****ing people up faster... esp with fundamentals you already have from playing ganon...

and mike.... you suck ballz at 64 lol.... get hextuple u-aired to ka-*shing*'d dud :luigi64:

but yea i hit u up soon bit

yeah, i'm pretty much year 4 into ganon (including ncssm with TJ looool) so i really don't think i'm going anywhere from ganon. i've been with ganon about as long as i've been with ashley...no hetero.

gawwwwwd that double uair feels so pretty every time i think about it.

i've never really had a main, nor do I even know what my best character is. there's a few obvious match-ups that i'll use a certain char but that's about it.

i would like to give you guys some :fox64: :falcon64: and :ness64:

duke bi-weekly in....... 09 maybe? lmao.. last time I saw you(whichever of those billfests a year or 2 before that even), going to "**** me" land would have been jail bait MASK.(edit... speaking of that.. I think that was the first time I met jim too. I remember him saying to me "i lost to mask" but sounded like moss to me. I was asking wtf Moss was rofl..)

idk... i've been liking smash a lot, again, just of lately. maybe when me and dave move to wilmington here soon i'll go to at least something.

and we're gonna do :falcon64: :falcon64: bro, hyrule just like your '2.'.......that is...........if you are up to it.
