pg 960 cam's response to kage made me laugh a lot
i'd just like to point out that it was one of the finest moments of smashboards' recent history in my opinion.

@mahone

lol PLEASE come to nc in the near future so josh and others of us can scrape the dust off that a**. more importantly, money match/play josh in tournament tho so i can get hype. someone rig that bracket. and none of that friendly "i like you in person but not on the boards" bull****. continue the **** talking in person.

Yo, the block button is ****. I don't know why I didn't use this sooner. After I posted yesterday I went and made proper use than just didn't get back on for the rest of the day.

Alex: I did. ;]

Mike and Cam are so legit. So happy to see their banter all over our threads again.

Also, super good mood today, last weekend was awesome, Chris Knorr + Alex DeLarge = lmaoooo

Shout outs to the Legion of Doom.

Why would someone's mood change everyday? I find that pretty odd. Learn to cultivate your energy to be super good mood ALL THE TIME. =D
Because moods change every day depending on happenings in your life, stress levels and whatever else. I never said my mood yesterday was bad, just that today was super good.

And that is unfortunately not how moods or energy work, especially not when you're bipolar. Everyone gets in bad moods occasionally, regardless of your attitude.

I agree that a super good attitude, better consideration of activities, control of the people you keep around you, and controlling your brain states better increases the ratio of good days to bad days exponentially though.

EDIT: YEAH KAGE YOU CANADIAN MOTHER FIGURE YOU CRADLE ME TO YOUR TOASTY BOSOM

Jesus Kage you sound like my mother
You physically can't be happy 110% of the time
If you say so, it'll never happen. Don't destroy your potential by saying, I CAN'T do this. =P

Well I'm not really pointing fingers or anything, i was just saying. To me, it's as simple as well I'm generally happy most of the time but if I do get mad or sad for some reason then I am for a short period of time until the problem is resolved.. and when it is, well I'm happy again and everything is beautiful.. it is THAT simple. I don't really understand how it can so complicated otherwise. Cry or get mad when the emotion passes but channel it properly.. if someone can't see how this is done.. well practice, anything can be practiced in this life, even good moods.

Kage this is why no one in NC wants you posting in our threads

Seriously

Go back to Canada

Don't you have like free health care or something?

:phone:
You saying it's impossible to have good moods in the US? Well if everyone has guns, I guess people live in fear of everyone else down there. lol.

While I get what you're saying
I'm saying your body physically cannot handle it

The amount of endorphins to continue an elated state would be astronomical
And it would also wreck your sympathetic nervous system

also you probably wouldn't wanna play any kind of competitive games because competition creates stress
And stress is incompatible with a subdued, elated feeling [which is why it would wreck your sympathetic nervous system]

We talked about this recently in a class so I found it interesting

Oh? That's interesting, but I'm guessing there's also healthy amounts of stress you can use to balance out whatever is happening inside your body?

Well the point is
If you are forever 100% happy

You're honestly messing up your body's potential for survival
Because the sympathetic nervous system is either in [for easier understanding] Survival Mode or Happy Mode [Parasympathetic Nervous System]

It's one or the other
It CANNOT be both

So if you're happy 100% of the time [Parasympathetic]
You're in survival mode 0% of the time [Sympathetic]

So like
Let's say

You're crossing the street
A car comes towards you

Your body would not tell you to move out of the way because the ParaSym is active
So you would be unable to recognize that this is a survival moment and active the Symp

It's just an interesting concept I like to think about

That seems like really extreme cases though, I mean my best friend constantly reminds me to be aware at all times at whatever may come at you so I'm guessing a shift from not being in danger and then your life is on the line the next second is instant?

Yes
But basically I was just saying the idea that you can be happy 100% of the time is silly and impossible
Or, rather

Extremely improbable and unwanted

Well 100% of the time is pretty crazy, ya. But still, I don't think any scientific proof should determine how we want to be. There's always things you can do to refine the way you think about things, these things are definitely not in books or anything like that It's pretty easy to convince yourself that just because a pro scientific says so, then it's right... if so then it ends there.. it's one dimensional.

Usually, I like to exaggerate stories because it's fun to see what people think, it brings out more conversation. But these exaggerations I don't believe. =P
