melee/brawl for one day?

and brawl+ on the other?

might be a little cramped on melee/brawl day then.

but i'm not sure which game i'd rather have paired with brawl+...

setup-wise, probably brawl. we can always install it on wii's.

and i'd like to be able to focus on melee friendlies and fun on one day.

melee one day makes no sense lol. it'll end at like 5.

brawl will always take the longest to run. melee/brawl+ and then brawl works the best.

Ohhhh, crews! I like that idea.

I'll obviously crew with The Kids if/when they're there, but I might do a winston-salem/gboro thing soon. I'm not sure.

Crews and some other event sounds good.

I'm thinking that Melee and Brawl should be played on the same day, then brawl+/possibly crews? on the second day.
dark hart's idea wins

no matter how much i would love to have melee on it's own day.

actually... since brawl crews are too long to ever do anyways...

maybe we should just have melee/melee crews on one day, and brawl/brawl+ on the other, with brawl+ crews if there's time left.

but who knows.

crews in general is win.

central NC crew amirite?

So we get home before midnight on Sunday. It's not that bad.

The only qualm I have with Melee on it's own day is that it might discourage some people from entering that also enter Brawl. While I believe we are teaching more and more of NC to learn Melee(that started with Brawl), not all of them are willing/ready to do a Melee-only event, no matter how helpful it would be.

I'm thinking brawl/brawl+ on saturday and melee on sunday. Finishing early on sunday is nice, and more brawl people than melee people would be inclined to enter b+, methinks. Also, the melee community tends to be more elite, so having a sunday tourney probably won't be as big of a deal to most of them. The only problem is as pp says, none of the brawl people, like sp, will probably enter melee if we do it this way.

I'd like a good Melee turnout, but that doesn't really matter I guess.

I guess you're running it though, so you'll obviously get more B+ that way, which is what you want. That's fine.

I wonder if anyone else will pick up Melee/Brawl tournaments?

melee is the most important event to me, but I think that b+ is the most favored event by mullins, bill (although maybe brawl) and david.

oh yeah pp, you're teaming with me, right?

Karn's got it down.

The only problem I have with this is that I may not be able to go to a tournament two days in a row (as I play B+ and Melee).

So for convenience for ME personally, B+/Melee on one day would be best.

But that's selfish.

However, putting in my $0.02 and it should be the same situation for anyone else that only plays those two games as well.

@Fiz: For real? All of SP? That would be awesome!

@Karn: Ummm, I guess so.

@Stongers: I'd go anyway, but you already know what I want there haha.

@Foxy: Who else plays just Melee/B+?

@pp

We should probably just figure out which way would give us maximum attendance.

However, the only reason we're doing it two days is because now we want three events and everyone complained already about how late everything ran. But, if it's two days pretty much everyone will need to stay in CH overnight that doesn't live really close anyways. . . So why don't we just run all three events deep into the night and everyone stays over still? @_@

I don't have anything against SP Fiz. Sorry if what I said came out that way. I still have yet to play you guys, so I wouldn't know is all haha.

@Stongers: I can stay awake on my sleep schedule for that now, but once school starts that will be mad tough. I agree with you.

Every tourney should be standard with Melee/Brawl. I'm not a fan of Brawl+ really but if there was a tourney with Brawl/Brawl+ I'd probably just wait for the next Billfest for Melee/Brawl.
