I like how he's banned already. You know he was trollin'.

I'm really curious as to what level of play makes you see Kirby as Low Tier.

this thread should be kept as a sticky, just saying. It will b easiest once people make character threads.

smashwiki is slow, that's why

there are three small nitpicks one can make to the current list:

jigglypuff/ness switching locations
luigi/link switching locations
whether or not pika is in S tier by himself

all of these are things that you can decide for yourself, changing them officially doesn't really matter

I think we should take a leaf from Melee's tier list and tie characters.

S Tier
Pikachu
Fox

A Tier
Kirby
Captain Falcon
Mario

B Tier
Yoshi
Donkey Kong
Jigglypuff/Ness

C Tier
Link/Luigi
Samus

Kirby uses lots of Fair. I'd say 3%.

Oh and they already said Bair, Asian*.

*my new nickname for you; AsianAussie is too long to type.

I cant remember the last time I did a kirby usmash...maybe when I tried to utilt too fast :p

Dtilt is also really important for edge play

Kirby's dtilt always manages to cut through luigi's recovery and does fairly well against mario's from my experience.

I even feel I can use it more effectively than pika's fsmash o_o

The fsmash has slow start up time, while the dtilt is very quick.

If you stand just outside the upb hitbox and time his downb just before mario/luigi grabs the ledge it usually works well.

With the fsmash, they can bait you into doing it too early and then punish. Or they can catch you before you have even started and ultra punish.

Fsmash is more about prediction against those two, while dtilt is reaction.

cool, 1000 posts is cool :)

Oh, specifically against the bros? Sure. I thought we were talking overall as an edgeguarding move.

2,000 is cooler

i didn't even realise i reached 2,000, i swear i was like 1,600 a week ago

kirby's tilts are all stupidly quick (f-tilt is actually quickest to come out) so they're all rather spammable in given situations

Kirby's dtilt is a good edgeguarding move against everyone except for like Pikachu and Yoshi. It has almost as much range as Fox's dtilt

Of course it's good; the conversation was about whether it was better than the pika fsmash. I said it wasn't, and then realized that he'd been saying it was better against Mario and Luigi, not against everyone.

My bad. And admittedly, I'm probably giving the dtilt too much credit. It can often be replaced by dair or fsmash. I still love that move though.
