Ridley will be a playable character in Brawl for sure. What other choices does Sakurai have for another Metroid-verse char? Dark Samus? I don't think so...

Dark Samus is okay, but I think Ridley definitely deserves the spot before her.

Ridley is overall more original and WAY more deserving in all catagories...
I agree about ridley for brawl , Add me to the support list ;D.
And i can't wait for his update...Heck i wouldn't be suprised if ridley was this week since we got dedede with the other 2 o_O.

In reality, after having his tailbase handed over to him by Samus so many times, I'm starting to wonder if Ridley will someday end up getting the "joke villain syndrome" and turn into an anti-hero like Bowser did.

I have an idea for a Ridley subspace intro.
He and Samus are fighting in an elevator shaft. Ridley slams her against the wall and she turns into Zamus. They plummet to the ground where the unconsious Zamus is caught by KingDedede and he runs off with her. Ridley gets up shakily from the ground and is hit in the head with a rock. Pokemon Trainer throws another pokeball and a battle comences in which PT loses.
Ridley takes half his money and keeps him alive because PT promises to join the space pirates. They chase off after DDD ( who is transporting the last metroid to the planet popstar ) and Zamus wreaking havoc along the way.........

For some reason unknown reason to me, the idea of Snake and Samus working together and there being romantic undertones annoys me a lot. Also, a good amount of the reason why I got into Metroid was because Samus is a strong independent kick-*** heroine that doesn't need to get saved by a male figure. Sorry, I don't like your idea, even if it is for my own reasons.

That makes me wonder. What will be samus's se partner. I've always talked about what Ridley's could be(JigglyRidley) but never really thought about samus. I say a sword user. Or somebody who mainly uses their fists. So Ike, IC, DDD, Meta.

Nah man, Characters are normally Wednesday, Friday usually deals things like My Music and Subspace Emissary and bosses.

I don't really expect Ridley to be revealed anytime soon. I'm thinking we'll see Captain Falcon, maybe a Melee unlockable veteran as well, Krystal, and Captain Olimar before Ridley. Ofcourse, I wouldn't mind being pleasently surprised either. >>

Sonic was on Wednesday and Dedede was thursday.
O and Shuma maybe I miscounted or something but I saw no pattern, I probably miscounted but 25 was Samus, 50 was her FS, 75 was diddy, 100 was online... Are you taking double updates as one or what because i see no pattern.

If he did, that'd be pretty interesting (depending on how they do it). I love how they made Wolf (from Star Fox) from a villain (or Andross minion in his case) to an anti-hero, so it could work for Ridley.

If that were to be the first time Ridley's ever seen Samus in her Zero Suit form though (assuming he hasn't before, which I don't think he has), I wonder how he'd react to Sammy's change in appearance.
Chances are, he wouldn't care (since he's not human like Samus), but I'd be surprised if he reacted to ZSS like the way Snake did. 
I'm guessing this 'Ridley boss thread' was just something made recently... mirite?

nah, we all love Ridley, because he's an actual important character to add, and he's cool to boot, plus coz metroid needs more rep, and he's the only real option, (kraid and/or mother brain would be better bosses), I doubt anybody really wants ridley for the reason that he has fire, otherwise everyone would love bowser, and the fire flower, and the curry, and charizard, and so on
