The New Mog for Brawl thread

Snake isn't in to promote MGS4. If he was he would be in his Old Snake form. Snake is in to represent the whole Metal Gear series. Cloud would most likely do the same thing since he's the biggest and most popular FF character ever, and is almost the face of the franchise. He'd definitely be the first choice. I do hate him, though, and Final Fantasy VII, but you cannot deny the facts.

And I'm sure there's a decent number of people who have seen Advent Children that hadn't played FF7. Mogs and Chocobos make appearances in make FF titles, but like I said before, they are to the FF franchise as Chao are to the Sonic franchise...or as Toad's are to the Mario franchise (for those who don't know much about Sonic).

Yes but FF7 was the best-selling and neither Squall, Zidane, Tidus, Vaan, or even that hottie Rinoa appear in a full-length motion picture movie. Cloud is easily the most popular FF character. Had Advent Children never seen the light of day, I might agree with you.

I made a point earlier than Sakurai doesn't need to crumble in to the most popular character demands, especially since he has the most requested character already on the roster. He has more freedom to do what he pleases and he can continue to add forgotten characters like G&W and Ice Climbers. If he wants to do that with a third party, he more than likely can.

Well Ashley is already a step ahead of Mona in that respect. She has her theme on the Dojo. Wheres Mona's? Songs may not mean much, but they are always something you take into account when you figure out whos going to be in the game.

If anything Squall would be since he appeared in the KH series alongside characters like Cloud and Aerith and was the lead of the 3rd highest selling FF title. FFIV was not even massively popular to begin with. Back in the day FFV and FFVI outsold the game by over a million copies thats not counting the FFVI and FFV remakes.

A Moogle actually joined a party in a main Final Fantasy game and has appeared in nearly all of the Chocobo spin offs you are talking about.

Chocobo is required to beat the games, like transport you over rivers like in FF4

And Moogles are required to save Terra from dying within the first few minutes of the game! Oh and when a Chocobo's importance in the main Final Fantasy series is highlighted by its role as a freaking horse then thats pretty sad.

Mog is the mascot genius. You don't need to be the main character to do that. He is on the FFIII (US) box art and the one who went on T.V. to promote the game. BTW, there is no lead character in FFVI.



It makes $$$ sense but you keep forgetting how well this game is going to sell. I made a point earlier than Sakurai doesn't need to crumble in to the most popular character demands, especially since he has the most requested character already on the roster. He has more freedom to do what he pleases and he can continue to add forgotten characters like G&W and Ice Climbers. If he wants to do that with a third party, he more than likely can.



Lol. When will you learn that this game is going to sell regardless and when will you provide evidence that Sakurai said he will only put in third party characters with Sonic level popularity?



Well Ashley is already a step ahead of Mona in that respect. She has her theme on the Dojo. Wheres Mona's? Songs may not mean much, but they are always something you take into account when you figure out whos going to be in the game.

Oh, I almost forgot Cloud >>>>>>>>>>>>> Cecil in popularity. Cecil is not even the 2nd most popular FF character you loon. If anything Squall would be since he appeared in the KH series alongside characters like Cloud and Aerith and was the lead of the 3rd highest selling FF title. FFIV was not even massively popular to begin with. Back in the day FFV and FFVI outsold the game by over a million copies thats not counting the FFVI and FFV remakes.



Mog is the first playable Moogle and the first one that speaks human language.



Even the biggest of FF noobs know what a Moogle is. Many who have played FF6 surely know Mog's name.



A Moogle actually joined a party in a main Final Fantasy game and has appeared in nearly all of the Chocobo spin offs you are talking about.


And Moogles are required to save Terra from dying within the first few minutes of the game! Oh and when a Chocobo's importance in the main Final Fantasy series is highlighted by its role as a freaking horse then thats pretty sad.
