ICs should be above DK. I really don't know why ICs aren't winning any big tournies. It seems like mastery of the infinites is definitely possible.

Of COURSE mastery of the inifinites is possible but still, IC still has bad match-ups against lots of characters and forming an anti-IC strat is too easy, even with the worst characters(Jiggz is STILL a good IC counterpick!). Yes, a grab = a stock but the same was true in melee, where we had much better mobility, more grab range, a better approach and a much easier infinite.

I'm happy with ICs placement. It's pretty much where I thought they'd be all along.



Jeeeeez! GaW #4?! I really SHOULD play him more often! especially since I loved him so much in Melee. God, they buffed the hell outta him. ^_^

and can I call BS on Link's placement? I'd say the only thing bottom-tier about him is his recovery. Other than that, he's a good character. Hell, at least better than Ike!

Yoshi mains are to Brawl what Ness mains were to Melee. Yoshi's much better than people give him credit for.

Samus should be closer to where Peach is, IMO.

Bowser's placement is really surprising. He's pretty boring to play but I guess fun=/=effective. Why would MK be top tier if that were the case?

Getting a grab in Brawl is so much easier than it was in Melee. Getting a grab once per stock should be relatively easy. I'm pretty sure you get grabs off on me once per stock when we play, you just don't get the kill most of the time.

Also, Diddy should be above DK. Diddy;s game is so much better than DK, and his match-ups are better to, I'm not sure why he was put below DK to begin with.

As for Falco vs Marth: I'm gonna start with part of a quote from Emblem Lord,

(Marth pretty much wins in all areas, except Falco has the ability to camp him. They both have grab combos on each other as well. Overall though Marth has better damage output and a better gimp game and he will generally outlive Falco.)

Marth's grab combo consists of Fthrow chains at low percents on Falco to a spike. He can DI out after 3-5 I think, but it's unavoidable if Marth Fthrows Falco off of the edge at 0 and spikes. Falco is pretty much dead after that.

Not only that, but Marth can DI out of Falco's CG at relaitvely early percents, eliminating Falco's easy damage racker, and occasional edgeguard tool.

True, lasers do disrupt Marth's Fairs, and his spotdodge and roll are very quick and have less lag than Marth's. However, this means that Falco will be kept at the edge since he's usually evading, and a good Marth can screw over Falco's recovery.

I'm not saying the lasers aren't good. they certainly are incredible. They open up doors for offensive and defensive purposes, but they can be beaten.

I have to test a few ideas I am thinking about to make sure , and to do that I need your help Karn. You think your Falco is anywhere close to Chillin's level? That would help me know how I'm doing as far as that matchup goes if I get to play you soon.

You forgot about his reflector and phantasm. Besides his upB, Falco has ridiculously useful specials. You make lasers sound like there just one of those little perks... F-air off the stage gimps all space animals, Ike, and generally anyone with below par recovery. He is also like the top three in Brawl pseudo-combo potential. Sweet spot dair to u-tilt to nair, auto-cancel nair to u-tilt to nair, AA to d-tilt to sweet spot dair to u-tilt to nair, AAA, 3-4 chaingrabs to dash cancelled u-smash or gatling combo... I could go on. He is certainly not just lasers, chaingrabbing, and a spike. There's so much more to him. Grabby Falcos limit his potential so much. Mastering the flow between his moves where the real payoff comes. Chain grabs are just for the first 40-50%.

I believe he is a top 3 character, and that is not just because M2K basically said the same thing... ... ...



Marth is pretty badass, though. I still have to say Falco>Marth (but mot in that specific match-up necessarily.)

I can understand why you said what you did, but it seems that Snake can get out of Falco's CG relatively early with a nade(or was that info false? I haven't tested lol), and MK can gimp Falco easier than MK can gimp Marth.

As for GaW, the bucket seems to hurt Falco's greatest tool, the laser. This doesn't mean that Falco can't occasionally laser, but it does severely limit him. Granted, there are many other great things about Falco too(that you mentioned), but Falco's lack of lasers combined with GaW's priority and aerial mobility, make a(slightly) harder match for Falco than for Marth. Marth is not limited by GaW's moveset except for GaW's Fair/Bair, which has enough priority to stuff Marth's Fair. Marth can just empty SH to force one of these moves, then grab or whatever if it's Fair, or up-B out of shield to punish Bair.

As for King Dedede, both do very well against him, but I think that Falco does much better, so no arguement there lol.

Marth beats ROB, but ROB does well against Snake, and seems to do ok against(I think) the other top tiers(excluding MK, who Marth is better against imo). While Falco seems to have a slightly harder matchup against ROB(speculating!)I can see why ROB is above Marth I guess...

Unfortunately for Marth, he doesn't **** any high tiers like Falco does, but he doesn't get ***** by any either. Overall, it seems very close. Falco more than likely has an edge, but Marth may catch up in time.

G&W is a problem, but if he does bucket, there's considerable ending lag, so you can't be too campy, but at an appropriate range Falco can handle the bucket. G&W is still really annoying though. One of Falco's worst match ups along with Marth and possibly Meta.

I think Marth vs Robot is an even match up. But yeah, Falco can be too easily gimped by Robot, so he has problems. I haven't played a good Marth to test against Robot, though.

I think Robot will def go up. I think he'll eventually be better than G&W, possibly Dedede as well. Lol basically I think Dedede has no where to go but down. He just has chaingrabs and bair. Waddle Dees are that great.

Trust me on this one bro, Marth vs ROB is just slightly in Marth's favor(60-40ish). Not fun for the ROB either.

Dunno much about ROB's other matchups besides guessing Falco, so I wouldn'nt know there(where you at Karn?)

Dedede is pretty solid, but he has a few horrible matchups(higher tier) as well. This may lead to him being knocked down a spot or two, but I doubt he'll ever be much lower than that.

You should come back ZIO! Either game is fine, I just wanna play you in one of the two lol. Also, Mugen is fairly knowledgable about Falco as I am about Marth, that's why this discussion feels pretty sweet to both of us I guess.
