Welcome to the despair-filled Monokuma support thread!
  • The fighter I'm choosing to explain why they'd be a great fit in Super Smash Bros is the mascot of despair, Monokuma! Monokuma is the main antagonist of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, while also having a minor role in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High School - Future Arc and having his Monokuma “siblings” appear as enemies in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, while none of the Danganronpa games or shows have appeared on a Nintendo console and most of these are mere visual dictionaries, Monokuma has made appearances in other games on Nintendo systems such as: Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars and Attack on Titan 2. Monokuma’s story is that heavily tied to despair, being an idea thought up by the Ultimate Despair: Junko Enoshima and created by the Towa Company, Monokuma units would be all over the globe as Junko Enoshima caused The Tragedy which plunged the entire world into despair, following The Tragedy, Junko Enoshima used Monokuma to host The Killing Game of the 78th Class of Hope’s Peak Academy, whose participants all had their memories erased and were forced to kill each other while being broadcasted to the whole world in a attempt to show even the most hopeful people can and will fall into despair, after numerous trials and executions, eventually the survivors of this killing game, most notably The Ultimate Luck/Hope: Makoto Naegi, beat Junko Enoshima, in which afterwords the Ultimate Despair had herself and Monokuma being executed, however this wouldn’t be the last we saw of the despair-obsessed bear, after the events of Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, Izuru Kamukura, one of the remnants of despair,( an organization of people who were apart of Hope’s Peak’s 77-B class fell into despair by the hands of Junko Enoshima before The Tradgedy), gathered two Monokuma units named Shirokuma and Kurokuma and merged them to create an AI of Junko Enoshima, after all the Remnants of Despair were captured by the Future Foundation (A group hoping to bring hope and order back to the world), they were put into an computer simulation on Jabberwock Island to attempt to bring them back to their old-selves before The Tragedy, however before that happened Izuru Kamukura somehow uploaded the Junko Enoshima AI into the simulation, once inside the AI takes the form of Monokuma for the majority of this story, where Monokuma starts the killing game of the 77th Class section B, The Remnants of Despair, in a attempt to fill their brain-dead bodies after they perish in the computer simulation with the Junko AI to make the entire world Junko Enoshima, but in the end the plan was foiled by the survivors of this killing game, notably Hajime Hinata, Izuru Kamukura before he became Izuru Kamukura, erased the AI Junko and the survivors were let out of the simulation, where they then worked to revive their currently brain-dead friends, This would be the last notable appearance of Monokuma in that universe of Danganronpa, as the next time we see him, he is simply a bunch of pre-recorded messages in the Final Killing Game of The Future Foundation’s Leaders, which was set up by the Chairman Kazou Tengan in a attempt to get the Ultimate Animator Ryota Mitarai to finish making “The Hope Video” to erase despair from existence forever, however this plan failed and the building with all the pre-recorded messages were destroyed, but in an alternate universe of Danganronpa where the events I told you were all just fiction to make a population so peacefully boring excited, Monokuma was used as the mascot character and was used to host 53 different killing games, however on the 53rd killing game that was masterminded by Tsumugi Shirogane, the survivors of that killing game, most notably Shuichi Saihara, The Not-real Ultimate Detective, beat the hostess of the 53rd Killing Game, Monokuma and his Monokubs, with the despair obsessed bears and mastermind being killed by Kii-bo, The Not-real Ultimate Robot, as the survivors learned the world they thought was real was fake due to them gaining fake memories they were lead to thinking were real due to Tsumugi, Monokuma, and The Monokubs, thus the story of Monokuma ends in the Danganronpa universe, as for the two games that appeared on Nintendo Systems, Monokuma is simply a boss in Conception II, and in Attack on Titan 2 Monokuma gets an entire alternate universe game mode all to himself, where he is there in-place of the titans.
[*]For why you should want Monokuma in smash would be to represent the visual novel series of games, a genre of games that aren't talked about much in comparison to other genres, other examples would be the Ace Attorney, Doki Doki Literature Club, and Corpse Party series, sure there might be better choices like Phoenix Wright to represent the visual novel genre of games, but I believe Monokuma to be a better choice due to the nature of the character's games and his role and personality in said games and how much of a potential moveset he would have.

  • --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Monokuma’s stage would be Hope’s Peak Academy from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, I believe this stage would simply transport the fighters through various locations within the locked-up high school, including notable places such as the Gymnasium and The Trial Room.
  • --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Due to Monokuma’s obsession with Despair, I believe he would have a gimmick similar to Lucario and Little Mac’s gimmicks that I call “The Despair Factor” Due to Monokuma’s sadistic and masochistic behavior for despair I believe the more damage he takes and gives out will increase The Despair Factor’s meter, the higher the meter is the faster and stronger Monokuma and his attacks become as he wants to bring more despair to himself and to his opponent at a quicker rate
  • ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • [*][*]Standard-attack: Monokuma would attack his opponent with his multiple slashes with his retractable claws.
    [*][*]

      • Up-tilt: Monokuma would do a overhead swipe with his claws.

      • Forward-tilt: taking out the hammer from whenever Monokuma is about to activate Punishment Time to execute the blackened in the main-line Danganronpa games to whack his opponents.

      • Down-tilt: Monokuma would start slashing downwards with his claws.

      • Aerial standard: Monokuma would start dropping explosives from when the Bomber Monokuma enemy-type dies, but while being mid-air, this is a reference to the Bomber Monokuma's from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

      • Up-aerial: Monokuma would take out his machine gun from that little joke from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and fire it upwards, somewhat similar to the Mii Gunner's up-aerial attack.

      • Down-aerial: Monokuma would start crashing downwards while standing on top of a Guard Monokuma's shield, this attack would have a spike effect and is also a reference to the Guard Monokuma enemy-type from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

      • Side-aerial: Monokuma would start firing the rapid-fire projectiles Destroy/Jetpack Monokuma fires, this is a reference to the Destroy/Jetpack Monokuma enemy-type and Komaru Naegi's Hack Gun's rapid fire option from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

      • Dash-attack: While running Monokuma would quickly turn into a ball and roll into his opponents, this is a reference to the Ball Monokuma enemy-type from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

      • Standard-special: Taking out his bazooka from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Monokuma would fire it in the direction he's facing, this is a callback to the time he tried killing Akane Owari in the game but instead accidentally hits Nekomaru Nidai.

      • Up-special: Taking out the jetpack Destroy/Jetpack Monokuma has, Monokuma would use it to propel himself into the air, the jetpack would have a small hit box under it due to the jetpack's flames that are propelling him into the air, this is a reference to the fact the Destroy/Jetpack Monokuma enemy-type in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

      • Side-special: Monokuma would lunge self across the stage on all fours, if an opponent is in his way he'll knock them onto the ground and start biting and slashing at his unlucky opponent (this is somewhat similar to Diddy Kong's Side Special) this is also a reference to the Beast Monokuma enemy-type from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

      • Down-special: Self-destruct, as the name Implies, Monokuma would self-destruct, causing damage to himself and his opponents near him (think Super Smash Flash 2's Sandbag Up Special) this is also a reference to when Monokuma blew himself up in a attempt to kill Mondo Owada, though this failed and Monokuma simply blew up mid-air and had another version of himself to continue his speech before he was so rudely picked up by the Ultimate Gang Leader.

      • Up-smash: Monokuma would use his skill of 'Time for Punishment!" from his boss fight appearance from the 3DS and PS-Vita Game: Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars, where a geyser of darkness would suddenly burst from the ground and send his opponent upwards.

      • Side-smash: Monokuma would use the skill: wind-jet from the Despair Dungeon: Monokuma's Test mode in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, where he would summon a gust of wind in the direction he's facing, this wouldn't do much percent damage, but it would send opponents flying due to the wind element.

      • Down-smash: Monokuma would use the Thunder Strike attack from Big Bang Monokuma to electrify the ground surrounding him by taking a smaller version of the staff Big Bang Monokuma uses and stabbing it into the ground, this is a reference to the final boss of Danganronpa Another Episode: Big Bang Monokuma.

      • Grab: Monokuma would throw out the chain that grabbed Leon by the neck in the first execution in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc to grab his opponents with, as stated this is a callback to Leon Kuwata, the Ultimate Baseball Star's execution.

      • Up-throw: Monokuma would throw his opponent over his head and slash them with his claws, sending them upwards.

      • Side-throw: Monokuma would impale his opponents with his claws and send them left or right depending on the direction the player wants to throw his opponent.

      • Down-throw: Monokuma would throw his opponent on the ground and fire his bazooka from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair at them, again this is a callback when he failed to kill Akane Owari and instead hits Nekomaru Nidai.

      • Pummel: Monokuma would slash and bite at his opponent like Beast Monokuma does when attacking Komaru Naegi from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, this is a reference to the Beast Monokuma enemy-type from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

      • Front-floor-attack: Monokuma would simply swipe the ground in front of him with his claws.

      • Backwards-floor-attack: Monokuma would take out his hammer from Punishment Time and swing it at his opponent as he gets up
      • Edge-attack: Monokuma would start biting at his opponent as he gets up from the ledge.

      • Ladder-attack: Monokuma would take out his hammer from Punishment Time and swing it at his opponent.

      • Final Smash, Gugnir Spears: Monokuma would charge at his opponent in a straight line, him taking %1 damage for every opponent he catches, in return though he summons the summon spell, Gungnir Spears, causing the spears to impale his opponents and sending them flying, this is a call back to the death of Mukuro Ikusaba/Fake Junko Enoshima in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.
      • Alternate Final Smash Idea: Punishment Time!: Monokuma would grab an opponent and drag them off screen, where an execution fitting for that character would play like in the main Danganronpa games with it finishing with the character that was being executed being on the receiving end of an action that would normally kill someone while still fitting to that character that is being executed. (This could also be something similar to Relius Clover from BlazBlue's Astral Tortures like Accursed suggested).
        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      • Taunts
      • #1 Monokuma would simply do the dance he can be seen doing in the anime adaption of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc’s opening.
      • #2 He would face the camera and do his iconic laugh "UPUPUPUPUPUPU"
      • #3 Monokuma would take out the button from punishment time and hit it multiple times with his mallet, then throwing it away when nothing is happening.
    • Victory Poses:

#1: Monokuma would jump off of his judging chair from the trial room and land on the ground in front of it, raising his arms into the air once he reaches the ground.

#2:Monokuma would start doing a dance a bunch of Monokuma Units and Monokuma Children were doing in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls

#3 Monokuma would be standing still with his arms cross laughing, and the camera would zoom out with Junko Enoshima standing about Monokuma doing a similar pose to her bear mascot, also laughing.
    [*][*][*][*][*][*][*][*][*][*][*][*][*][*]
  • [*]Now how did I forget the alternate costumes for this bear of despair? To apologize for such a error, I'll tell you what all eight could be!
    [*]

    [*]Default:
This would be Monokuma's default costume, as this is his main appearance throughout all media of Danganronpa! Just a half black, half white bear with a normal bear mouth on one side, a devious grim on the other, then to top it off a red lightning bolt eye on the black side, and a normal black eye on the other.
    [*]

    [*]Costume number 1:
One of Monokuma's children and the leader of the Monokubs, Monotaro would be Monokuma's first alternate costume! This bear who has really bad memory issues debuted in Danganronpa V3 as one of Monokuma's kids and helps his father make sure the killing game of V3 goes on smoothly.
    [*]

    [*]Costume number 2:
Another one of Monokuma's children, this Monokub is known as Monokid, also debuting in Danganronpa V3 to aid his papa in the killing game this blue monokub is the most violent one out of the group, and so Monokid would be Monokuma's second alternate costume.
    [*]

    [*]Costume number 3:
This mostly robotic looking bear-kun is Monodam, another one of Monokuma's children and the Monokubs, like his siblings he also debuts in Danganronpa V3 to assist his father in the killing game, Monodam is the shy one out of his siblings and just wants to get along... even if that means murdering his siblings to achieve such a status with everyone, he also temporarily takes over the Monokub group from Monotaro and control of the killing game from Monokuma for a short while before promptly ending his existence after still getting bullied by his remaining siblings. Though this happens to all the Monokubs they do come back at the end of the game, only to be promptly blown up by their father. That being said, Monodam would be Monokuma's third alternate costume.
    [*]

    [*]Costume number 4: for
This bear is known as Monosuke, the straight man of the Monokubs and one of Monokuma's children, also debuting in Danganronpa V3 to help his Pops in making sure the killing game is going as planned, he doesn't really have tolerance for his blue brother's foul mouth, but that doesn't mean he doesn't disagree with bullying their green brother, thus this glasses wearing bear would be Monokuma's fourth alternate costume.
    [*]

    [*]Costume number 5:
The only daughter of Monokuma and female member of the Monokubs, Monphanie, like her siblings, debuted in Danganronpa V3 to help her daddy in the killing game, this female bear would be Monokuma's fifth alternate costume.
    [*]

    [*]Costume number 6:
This pure white (and damaged) Monokuma unit is known as Shirokuma, he debuted in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls as a "friendly" Monokuma unit to the resistance members and Komaru and Toko, and is also a enemy of the "Warriors of Hope". Shirokuma is actually half of the Junko AI that is the main atangonist in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and to complete said AI is combined with Kurokuma to make the Junko AI complete. Thus, Shirokuma would be Monokuma's sixth alternate costume
    [*]

    [*]Costume number 7:
This pure black (and gangster) Monokuma unit is known as Kurokuma, he debuted in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls as a antagonist of the resistance members and Komaru and Toko. Unlike his little brother, Kurokuma "helps" the "Warriors of Hope" by being an advisor to them throughout the game. Kurokuma is also the other half of the Junko AI that is the main antagonist of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair that is combined with Shirokuma's half of the AI to complete her. Thus Kurokuma would be Monokuma's seventh and final alternate costume.
    [*]

So, what do you guys think? Would this bear of despair be a fitting addition to roster or should he be on the curb despairing about not getting in?

Just some friendly advice, put a spoiler warning so nobody gets Danganronpa spoiled for them.

Other than that, I think Jabberwock Island from 2 or the Ultimate Academy from V3 would work better as tour-like stages due to their outdoor nature. The Ultimate Academy in particular could take place during
Keebo’s destruction of it during chapter 6.

Oops, my bad, didn't exactly think of that when I was first writing this, but now that's fixed! Hopefully. Nonetheless, those ideas could be used as well (and are probably better due to their outside nature like you stated), I just went with Hopes Peak due to it being iconic in the series while also being the first setting for the games, though if it is outdoors you're worried about, don't forget the despair arc of the anime showed us various locations outside the school, though seeming as that's the anime, I'm not sure they'd take those locations and use them as a stage.
I'll admit it'd also be super cool seeing Keebo wreck the Ultimate Academy, though I fear that might be a bit spoilerish for a stage, then again people most likely wouldn't know the context of why he is doing that.

If you want to get into the series I'd suggest getting the Danganronpa 1 + 2 bundle on the PlayStation store, the. After giving those a whirl and you decided you liked it, buy Ultra Despair Girls (also on the PlayStation store) then watch the Danganronpa 3 anime which can be purchased on the PlayStation store or viewed on various anime streaming services, and if you at least have a funimation account of over 18, you should be able to watch it there too, then after that stuff go ahead and play Danganronpa V3, which is on the PlayStation store as well... so basically... you either need a PS4 or PSVita to play the main Danganronpa games, though Conception II is on the 3DS then Attack on Titan 2 3DS is currently Japanese exclusive I believe. But if you don't have any money to purchase them, I guess there's always emulating them on a PSVita emulator, the main series' games anyways.

No, that’s wrong!

I can’t see it happening, since the games are a lot more brutal than the other games in Smash, but it’s a fun idea! Though I do have to wonder... IF Danganronpa were to get a character, would they choose Monokuma over a protagonist like Makoto or Hajime?

While it is unlikely, I don't think it's the most brutal thing they have added into Smash, seeming as series like Metal Gear and Bayonetta are in, which both have realistic art-styles with red blood and Bayonetta loses her clothing as she attacks in her games as her clothes are literally her hair (not to mention Kirby also has several bosses who are just giant bleeding eyes), but I do see your point as its cartoonish art style and pepto-bismol colored blood let them get away with more brutal stuff, but nothing a good old fashioned Nintendo censor can't fix.

Personally I think they would seeming as Monokuma is the "mascot" of the series with him appearing in all the major releases and cameoing in the smaller stuff like the novels and manga, that and while it may just be me, I can't exactly think of a moveset for any of the main protagonists of the games besides maybe Komaru because most of them aren't seen fighting much (though I can see multiple of the ultimates being assist trophies) while Monokuma has been seen fighting or at least almost fighting a multitude of times due to his role as main reoccuring antagonist of the series. Though if anyone can think of a moveset for Makoto or Hajime I'll give them praise for being able to think of one.

The madman went and actually made a support thread. Well done. That being said sign me up! I've been pulling for the Danganronpa titles to get ported to Switch, but this would be even better.

I'm not expecting it to ever happen, but I do hope that if he does make the cut that his Final Smash involves a Punishment that is tailored to the character(s) he's using it on.
I actually suggested that as an alternative final smash to the one I suggested would be the one he would get in if he does get into Smash 5, though I made it an punishment time an alternative idea since Smash 5 will most likely have more than 65 characters, and I don't think they'd be able to animate and make 65+ individual unique executions for every character on the roster, though if they could I'd definitely want that as his final smash.

The day the makn Danganronpa games get on a Nintendo system is the day I get a hype overload, plus I mean Spike Chunsoft already have games on Nintendo platforms already, they even worked on some Nintendo first party games too, along with SEGA as well, I'll just post a few links to them: http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Spike_Chunsoft_games http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Chunsoft http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Spike_(company) Those links should list the games they've made, though for Spike and Chunsoft individually, the platform(s) the game released on are right next to the title of them.

Nonetheless, welcome to our merry band of Monokuma supporters! While we may be small now, we will grow bigger with time!

Yeah. That would be quite a lot of animations to make, and I know how to code a bit and it's a pain even trying to make the first Mario game scrolling thing. (And I was using a coding website, which would make it even easier on me). If Monokuma did happen to get added, it would be much easier to just make one animation. Also, it would be better since it wouldn't aim at just one target.

Even though I'm just learning how to code myself, I can already imagine how much of a pain it would be to do all that, even more so for the people that would have to animate all of them and make models for the assets used in the executions, though out of all the groups involved, writing executions for them would probably be the easiest, it would just be tedious going through all the fighters making unique ones for them, possibly excluding the clone characters and just giving them executions based on the person they're a clone of. But yes, if he did get added and punishment time was his final smash instead of gungnir spears, they'd most likely just use a singular universal execution scene for everyone that could be used on more than one person.

Just realized I forgot to add the alternate costumes in the original post, so with a quick edit I made them! Feel free to take a look at them and decide if you agree with them or you don't agree with them.

Maybe a smaller number of Punishments that would fit a selection certain characters?
But all being original to Smash of course.

For example, all the Pokémon are caught in "Monokuma Balls" which he proceeds to go maximum overkill on to break?

Or all characters known for eating a lot (Kirby, Dedede, Wario, Yoshi, Pac-Man, etc.) have a gluttony-themed Punishment?

Quick question
Why isn't Monokuma's Final Smash Punishment Time?

Edit: It's the alternate Final Smash idea. Whoops.

Well, I suppose I can see them doing executions based on series, one execution scene per series even if that does total up to just 29 individual scenes if we're going by the Smash 4 roster, possibly 30 of the Smash 5 roster has everyone from Smash 4 in it including the Inklings. I feel like stereotype executions or ones being based one if one eats a lot or something else might not work as well since you'd have to categorized people into stereotypes and some may be in multiple stereotypes and they'd have to decide which one to go with but the bright side (kinda?) would be less executions to make so it's more plausible, but eh, both ideas could possibly work (that is if they can do 29-30 execution scenes for the series one, which seems a bit unlikely).

Or it could be like this.
I suppose that could be the least they could do (probably the most realistic too). Though I feel like some people may feel like they've been cheated since the executions in Danganronpa are known for how over the top they are, but if it at least gives an idea what would happen to the opponent people might be fine with it as well.

I support because of how much of an unexpected twist it would be, it’d be the character that everyone would love but absolutely no one would it expect.

Monokuma's got the Cloud Strife clause going for him: he has appeared on Nintendo hardware via cameoing in another franchise:

That he does, along with the fact he also appears in the currently Japanese exclusive 3DS version of Attack on Titan 2 as a costume to wear and as an entirely seperate gamemode that essentially replaces all the Titans with Monokuma units. Though all that means for us is that it validates him as a potential candidate even more even though it is unlikely.

Also some of think Monokuma getting into smash might also get Spike Chunsoft to port the Danganronpa games onto the Switch due to the exposure their series would get with the Nintendo fans that might get interested after buying Smash 5 and seeing him in action along with whatever stage he gets and the trophies and assist trophies that also might rep his series.

I support because of how much of an unexpected twist it would be, it’d be the character that everyone would love but absolutely no one would it expect.
Well, no matter your reason we're glad you support Monokuma! Plus anyways, Nintendo likes to surprise us and if Cloud was anything to go by, that even means putting in characters in Smash that don't appear much on their systems.

So, I just gotta ask: Anyone got any ideas for how a character reveal would go for Monokuma, whether or not it'd be based off of Smash 4's or Smash 5's reveal trailer style (at least, we presume with five anyways.)

I would do something like DR1s intro, where the original 12 characters are stuck in the Hope's Peak Gym, and then Monokuma shows up at the podium. Monokuma brings the despair indeed.

Also for Monokuma they should totally do something like Blazblue does with Relius Clover, Accursed Accursed that is a good idea.

I support.

I'm thinking that if Monokuma was DLC (Which he might likely be), he'd be the same situation as Cloud. A third party character nobody expected to be in smash.

Never played it before. But, I am planning on getting Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony for my PS4. I support this.

Due to ladder attacks being added to the newest game, I should probably update this... also, is it just me or have all the images but the "Monokuma brings the despair!" image disappear from the page?

Updated the moveset to include ladder-attacks.

Also does anyone know someone that would be willing to do support icons and images? So people that are supporters of Monokuma would be able to show their support?

Added a support image made by a friend of mine from discord, just a note though: I have no idea how to shrink it down so it fits in signatures, especially since I'm stuck using an IPad.

Support images fixed, and shrunk, if they need to be any smaller ya'll have permission to shrink them as much as you need.

I would LOVE for Monokuma to get into Smash! I was actually kinda thinking about his side-special possibly being riding a motorcycle like Wario does, but with a yellow pompadour. Those who played the first game would get what I mean-

On a side note, I think Monokuma and Ridley, with how sadistic and cruel they both are, would make the best of friends- XD

Anything I can still do? I was thinking of making a symbol for Monokuma like how the Zelda characters have the Triforce as their symbol. Maybe even draw Sakura O(o)gami as an Assist Trophy?

Also, for Monokuma coming onto the stages, how about something like flying in with wings, and they fall off as he lands on the ground like in the Prologue Chapter of V3?

That could work, the symbol thing anyways. Though in my honest opinion if a DR character got an assist trophy slot, I would think it'd be Makoto Naegi... that or Komaeda.

That could be his stage entrance animation, that or how he makes his first appearance in Trigger Happy Havoc, jumping up on a podium, then promptly getting off of it.

That's possible, I just thought Sakura would be a good one since she's an experienced fighter.

Maybe Makoto could shoot Truth Bullets, and Nagito could shoot his own head (via Russian Roulette) to make his luck do something unpredictable, like switching around everyone's percentage?

Or maybe Komaru could be an AT and shoot her megaphone blaster against others?

I was also thinking of Monokuma riding the rocket from DR1's intro as an Up-Special/Recovery instead, though your idea works as well.
